It gives me a chuckle because I start thinking of your videos which I really enjoy and have seen almost everyone that you have made. Oh, absolutely. I'm a big fan of Josh and the Weasel. ;) Also, Allie Knight, Jade and John, and several others. Now I can't pass a big rig on the road without wondering who might be in there. LOL

Jack, you make truckin look so easy, your truck is so smooth. Not like the crap I used to drive back in the 70's - under powered, more gears than you can count and everything shook, squeaked, rattled or whistled. :)
Good video, brings back memories, I drove back in the 1990's, came off the road to have a family and miss the trucking life, but love my kids!! I drove every state except AK and HI. Driven every province in Canada, something I will never forget!

Another nice adventure Jack. Welcome back to San Antonio and to Texas. Nicely narrated as you progressed. You are a real Pro sir. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
G'day there Jack, looks like a couple of days in waterworld for you, Niagara one day, Nestle the next. Always a pleasure riding along with you. Cheers Brad
Indiana Jack, I am one of your biggest fans, and very soon I will be on the same journey....I am a recent college graduate in logistics, and I begin trucking school this summer.... I watched many of your adventures and will continue to do so....
You are setting a good example with your emphasis on good nutrition. I often wonder about the challenges truckers face in achieving a healthy lifestyle. I think you are showing us that it can be done if one gives it thought and does some planning.
Of all your videos I have watched this one was very familiar to me. First I live in Houston right off BW8 by the Sam Houston race track. Second I initially trained with Schneider to drive bulk and seen a lot of Pasadena (aka stinkadina locally) and use to live in New Caney. Also Breaux Bridge La. (Pilot) off I-10 was a fuel stop for Schneider and remember it well. Stay safe out there Jack.
Third day, cold stale biscuits, ewwww. That was cool you shared your biscuit with the little handicapped bird, that is the kind of person I like knowing. I love going over bridges, can't say why, I just do.
Jack if you ever go over to beaumont Tx. Check out spindle top it's where the first oil in Texas was discovered. They still have the orginal oil dereck still there. Its right off I 10 going toward Pt. Arthur, Tx.
hey indiana jack was south bound on i 69 north of ft wayne seen a swift low boy trailer and on the low boy had a swift flat bed straight truck on it .First time i have seen that. stay safe.
Where I eat breakfast in the morning there are some stray cats that I feed, wild animals have a hard life so any help I can give them I do, even the birds! Good for you Jack!
I watch your videos at my current job at Subway and I gotta say you've inspired me to go to trucking school..what a chill lifestyle...I was wondering if in one video maybe you can point your camera towards your steering wheel so we newbies can see you shift👍👍👍👍

Are regional/dedicated positions more flexible with home time than OTR? I want to get into trucking but the only thing I hate is how they screw you on home time. My Dad is a trucker. They basically send you home for a 34 hour reset and call that "2 days off". If I want a 2 day weekend, I want to be home Friday night or early Saturday morning and not leave until Monday morning. Can I get that type of home time with regional or dedicated? Or do I need to be an O/O and do my own home time? Or, could a local driver position make at least $2,500 a month after taxes? That's all I need right now. I just want a full weekend off every other week so I can enjoy fishing, camping, or whatever.

From what I have seen watching his videos, Jack always endorses companies that treat drivers well. Especially when he is picking up or delivering to that company in his video.
I quit drinking soda's and powerade crap and now only drink Fiji water (never Nestle)...I have a mug of Pilot coffee in the morning and water from then on.... the new Swift logo is to commemorate their 50 years as a company.
For some reason, I have always like Evian water, seems like that always tasted really good on a Hot day, like heck any water tastes good on a Hot day...LOL
they are awful to deal with and they undercut their competitors in order to buy them out. It's really a big global corporation that has one goal and that is profit at any cost.

some schools want you to lease, with them, you pay 2K a week for the lease, and the company gets a commission for going through them. To be fair there are a few truck stops left with some quality food. My personal favorite stop is the Russell's travel center just off I-40 outside of Endee NM (between Tucumcari and the NM/Tex border). The meals there are always high quality.
I grew up in Lordsburg, NM. 12 miles east was a Truck stop called Road forks or Shady grove. Man they had the best meals, home made pies. In the back were mobile homes for the waitresses for living and also extracurricular activities. LOL!
Jack you always make fun of other drivers driving for other companies. were.you born with steering wheel in your hands or did you have to gain experience like everyone else
I do not know if truck stops really can offer fresh and healthy food. I'm skeptical. Fruits got more sugar than softdrinks. And to prepare a vegitable food takes a long time truckers do not have. So what, that's our life on the road. Like the narrator scenes.
I asked how Loves did it and they said the manager has to go out and buy the fresh fruit at a grocery store and each store packages it themselves. That's why it doesn't have that chemical taste on it like it does at TA Petro. Distribution for fresh fruit and vegetables must be a nightmare.
Fruit has fructose which is different than processed sugars in sodas and snack foods. In the long run it is far better to consume fruits than sugary processed foods and drinks, As far as the veg goes, it looks like it has already been prepared, so what exactly does the driver have to do besides eating it out of the package? Your "skepticism" is not logical, especially since it has been shown that eating fruits and veg are healthy and eating processed sugar/ foods is not.

Jack, just about everywhere has a produce company that will deliver daily or as needed. So there's no real reason for them to have to run out and buy it unless they are trying to save some money.Even then it might not be worth it unless they wanted to "get away" as chances are they'd end up paying retail whereas a wholesaler who delivers would be cheaper even if under the minimums.
