I love your genuine humour and talent. Thanks for all your knowledge and support for us gals who need a little push to move forward with our sewing skills.
Great haul honey. The knit skirt, I have that and it was so easy. I made for someone else but will make for myself too. Mccalls 7951, YES! When I saw that, the dress being worn by the model. Gasp. I will have an end of summer dress for sure! I am thinking one of my Ankara prints. This is what I learned about the different numbers on the patterns. The numbers on the envelopes that are on top of the cabinets for tracking. They are seeing how many of the patterns are being purchased on impulse. That is right, you see it, you have to have it, so you buy it. Like chocolate or soda at the checkout at the supermarket. They can determine what kinds of patterns sell so they decide which to keep making, maybe even reissue. There is a card behind the pattern that has the number for in the cabinet. I used to always get from the cabinet but then if the ones on top dont sell, they are thrown away. They are the same pattern so now I just buy them and cross reference the other number in my database.
I made that Very Easy Vogue in the late 80s. It was a Vogue pattern then too. I loved it. Made it in fuschia faille. Wore it with a bright print scarf.
Love all the pattern choices!!! I did purchases most of these, especially ALL the jumpsuits!! But, of course, I still have them in the bag!! Can’t wait to see what you’ll do with them!
Thank you for agreeing. I mean in today's body forms the average person maybe Fuller in three places bust, waist area and hips and thighs sew patterns must be modified to make them fit also with men's patterns also,
Great patterns. Footnote, if you look inside the pattern on the instruction sheet, you will find the regular pattern number and the feature pattern number. Love your videos. Happy sewing.
Mimi I feel like I have seen you model some of these same pattern makes on your blog. Lol! Not really patterns I would pickup but I will be here for the sew-alongs cuz I know the tweaks and fabric choices will be fire. Thanks for being an inspiration!
Ik that mccalls bathing suit looked familiar, and the jumper pattern looks like an indie pattern. Girl I love your Jessica dress pattern, I made 1 and I'm gonna make another, once I'm done making your jeans pattern. That zipper gggrrr lol
I would love to see a sew along for Simplicity S8907. I have that one in my stash also. Great patterns, I look forward to seeing all of your makes and sew alongs..
Hi...just wanted to tell you that I saw two patterns today at JoAnn's with you advertising the dress/es. Very nice! Your pattern/s were on a top display for all to see. Good for you?
Hi Mimi! I made the McCall’s 7953 mock wrap dress with a great print from Michael Levine. I’m sure it was just me, but I had serious fitting issues. Let us know how it comes together for you.
The last pattern you showed simplicity 8973 the pink jumpsuit I made it in a teal color sew easy to make it looks good on the person I made it for because she was slender and she loved it
Hi Mimi, when are you making that leopard skirt?? I want one too. I enjoyed your pattern haul, I just got back into sewing after like 25 years, your very encouraging thank you.
You have great taste. I like most of your picks and I agree with you about not drafting if I don't have to especially if I can buy the pattern for $1.99. I like the peekaboos, but my boobs would probably show in an unflattering way. Your input has encouraged me to reconsider some of those patterns and maybe buy a few more. Happy sewing.
This sparks me to ask a question: I recently did a pattern haul where the patterns cost me 10 cents. I won’t say how many I purchase! 😂 They were patterns that were over stocked and maybe out of print or outdated. Do you ever buy patterns out of print or was in fashion once upon a time? I hope this makes since.
Mimi I love your channel ❣️. I have a question . Excuse my ignorance but if you bought a pattern already Nd made an outfit ...why did you need to buy it again ? Can patterns never be reused ?
Glad to see your videos. Note: the regular pattern numbers are usually printed on the pattern instructions and pattern tissue. when I buy a rack display pattern, I tend to write the regular number on the outside of the envelope.

What most people don't talk about on sewing shows is modifying patterns something I do every day, this is how I learned how to draft my own patterns
Yass I totally agree with you every and I mean every pattern I sew has to be altered but I do it any way because I make all my clothes!!!
Exactly, nobody ever brings this up.
Thank you for agreeing. I mean in today's body forms the average person maybe Fuller in three places bust, waist area and hips and thighs sew patterns must be modified to make them fit also with men's patterns also,

Love the knit skirt pattern. But always hard to find cute, interesting knits, especially for a sporty look. Pls post fabric options if you make that.

Just a note....for the R numbered patterns...the pattern instructions have the actual pattern number on it. So simplicity R10119 is really 8832.
Thank you SO MUCH for that information. It makes it so much easier to find the correct pattern!!
HI love your pattern haul. Look forward to your sew-a-longs for these patterns. Susan Peach
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the McCalls 7953

What kind of machine that was behind you. Or what kind of machine do you recommend for sew, embroidered and quilting?
I have a Babylock Destiny, Babylock has a lot of great options.
I’m sure you have answered this before but how do you keep track of what patterns you already own , while you are shopping?
Love myself some Mimi g

Actual numbers to patterns are on the instructions booklet inside.

What is the sewing machine behind you?!!
Can you do a sew a long for the swimsuit cover up and the jumpsuit?
DANG GIRL!
Great haul
The rack pattern number is on the inside of the instruction.
Thank You MiMi !!!!
