I did enjoy this one when it initially came out. Steve did a great job making that pony’s life better. Will we see the other pony brought into the light and out of that dark place it exists in?

I thought this was going to be about the other pony, the one that was separated and not worked with. What happened with him?

Just love all your videos , have already learnt so much.
We’ve just welcomed a lovely wee mini Shetland filly foal and trying to safely introduce her to our 8 year old Gypsy cob mare.
First meeting not great! We’ve currently got them in the same field ( live out 24/7) and sectioned off part of the field with electric fencing for the foal.
We’ve been slowly introducing them but would welcome any tips , thanks 😊

Beautiful little horses. Steve a great job again
But I question why people have to capture them?

They aren't wild ponies. They all belong to someone, and run up on the Black Mountains for grazing. They have to be rounded up, brought off the moorland and sold, otherwise they will overwhelm the environment. Bit more info here - www.gov.wales/horse-passports-semi-feral-ponies

@@CheshireCat6639 They aren't wild ponies, they are feral and all have owners. They have no natural predators once they are over about a month old, so without herd management, they would destroy the ecosystem in which they live. The youngstock is rounded up every year and sold on, hence how the woman in this video acquired them. There just isn't the space for the ponies to live in this environment without this degree of management - if they were left to be wild, they would overgraze the ground, become sick and die of starvation.

Why did the ponies need to be rescued vs being left wild in the mountains they were born and raised in? I see photos of the Black Mountains and see wild ponies running free. Why were these two captured?
