I have a very dear friend with whom I often talk for hours on the phone (we live a thousand miles apart) and she mentioned her political viewpoint years ago (anti-Trump). I simply never mentioned mine in response because I know she would feel the same as this woke person in the video. We have so much in common and nearly every other feeling and viewpoint in common. I don't care about her political leanings, not if she is a good person in every other way.
I can maintain our relationship despite knowing our 180-degree difference in political views. The sad fact is that I know she could not.
I count the political division currently in the U.S. as solely the fault of the Left. They simply cannot tolerate perceived challenges to their ways of thinking. They consider a difference of opinion as a literal insult to them which they refuse to discuss or examine in the way the Right naturally does.

I think it all boils down to one thing though - i overlook the liberal nonsense when it rears its ugly head and steer the conversation to another subject.
With several dear family members who are very woke, I've had a lot of practice at that. Same with people at work.
It's not that hard to do because liberals are not interested in what anyone else thinks, or why. The ones I know are only interested in what they think, have no interest in introspection and are severely crippled in the realm of critical thinking. With a background in behavioral science, I view all that as a mental illness of a kind, and try to stay detached from it.
The sad truth is that we actually DO have a lot of feelings and ideas in common and I imagine that's true across the spectrum. I just put the boundary where it needs to be.

I did my own research by looking for things on social media that agree with me. I also surround myself with people who are scared of getting cancelled if they have an original thought. Turns out everything is fine and it’s 100% normal, all of my friends agree.

I remember back in 2015-2016, back before YT started censoring and shutting down channels and content so much of seeing a LOT of different videos by different people all over the country that were very disturbing. I was VERY skeptical at first, but as time went on and I starting seeing more of them posted by random people all over the country I started to entertain the possiblitiy that there could be something to it about those FEMA camps and cladustine movement of UN peacekeeping vehicles. After Trump won and those videos and content were memory holed from the internet and more and more voices and content was increasingly getting censored and the anti-Trump rhetoric has been ramped up and all that has happened under Biden, I tend wonder if indeed that it had been true after all. I really wonder what was planned had HRC had won, and they NEVER thought she would lose cuz the fix was in. As someone who lives in rice farming land where pesticides are liberally used, I can attest to there being plenty of bugs to hit, especially at night, and including a surfeit of mosquitoes. In fact, it resembles rain.
Perhaps an alternative theory is the massive amount of light pollution altering bug behavior away from car lights and the resulting windshield collisions.

I don't subscribe to any 'group' when it comes to politics. I'm a citizen that is concerned where this country is going and who is being put in charge of it. I don't see why there's a 'side' to any of it. Anyone can say "I'm on this side of the fence" or the other. but the 'fence' doesn't exist. You either want to put capable and decent people in charge, or you don't. Looking at a person's life leading up to where they are now as they're running is a great way to get hints as to whether or not they're a good choice for leadership authority. Most people aren't willing to do that research and just believe whatever they're told in the here-and-now.

I was at a bar last night and had the displeasure of witnessing a “normal” dude fumble horrendously trying to hit on some liberal white woman in her 50s. She actually seemed to be enjoying the attention; he gave off bad boy vibes and she let loose that she was a widow but that it was “fine” as if to suggest it wasn’t an impediment to seeing new people. Went on about how he was a Trump supporter and how they can’t stand how “those people make that their whole identity.” I was in utter disbelief because listening to them it was the complete opposite. She was clearly enjoying him at first, and the guy talking about his life and all that gave no indication that he even liked Trump much, just didn’t like Biden. He definitely made a mistake with the political joke against Biden since she was a hard democrat but the only one with a stick up their ass was her. He didn’t take things too seriously, he was objective, and respectful, and the second he brushed politics it was over for him. A shame but he probably dodged a bullet. Woman was delusional.

I'm calling BS on less bugs. As a truck driver I have to scrub a thousand bugs off the windshield every day. If people are noticing less bugs on their cars, it's likely due to better aerodynamics on late model cars.
