I love how the Fox will point out something so simple and devastating. Between him and John Danaher, there's an incredible amount of good information. Bernardo, thanks for bringing them together. You really add to the content.
Yes, BJJ should be technical but also fun. Sometimes can be frustrating but if we try to make practice fun, I believe it's easier to absorb, and to stick with.
@@SilverFoxBJJ I like your approach: a lot of study behind, efficiency but at the same time humble and cheerful attitude, I also appreciated the videos with Firas Zahabi, as a teacher for me they are continuous stimuli to evolve. Thanks and good job

I've seen a total of two Karel “Silver Fox” Pravec's videos. I've been thoroughly impressed by both. I really need to figure out where I can dig up more of his stuff.
Hi prof, thank you for all ur awesome videos. Pls can u help me with this technique. I can't pivot my hips out and lock my legs. My back is fixed as the person on top puts their weight on my chest! Really hope u reply. Thank you again. Oss
I really want to try these technique but I've been struggling to rotate to perpendicular while keeping my legs closed even when against a training partner who is smaller than me. Practice makes perfect and I'm sure I need to pay more attention to angles but if you have any tips they would be greatly appreciated!
he does open his legs for a brief moment, its the head control that allows him to open the guard without the opponent realising . hooking under the leg with his right hand helps him rotate too. thats what i see anyway, could be wrong though!
As kirk690 said above. You want to keep cutting the angle (my right hand under his leg helps pull me in that direction), hips up high, pivoting almost on my shoulders. If you’re still having trouble, 1) I do monthly troubleshooting LIVE on on UA-cam on the Silver Fox BJJ Channel (10:30 am Eastern Time) every first Friday of the month. You can ask the question live and get clarification Or 2) send me a message on FB with a short clip of how you do it and I can give some feedback - I’m under Silver Fox, I’m in blue gi in my profile pic.

Yes, true. I'm not talented but I practice. Anything I can do, anybody else can also. It takes some time but once people drill it a few practices, they start to understand and do it better. Once you get the hang of it, extremely effective & efficient. My black belts now know it's coming but can't stop it. One of my purple belts didn't get this particular armbar the 1st couple of days he drilled it, but last night starting to hit it and understand it.
Silver Fox is my Covid-coach :). His virus series is pure gold.
Thank you! The ANTI-Virus Tribe!
What kind of dark BJJ magic is that? An arm bar without controlling the arm. Wow!
Once people play with it and get this perpendicular position with arm pit grip, the finish is extremely strong.
I've seen so many videos and Silver Fox is just in a different class. He's a genius
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Nice to see Silver Fox here. Love his videos he’s done with coach Firas.

Interesting concept
Thank you, I’ve had high level guys escape from tight Armbar by virtue of bringing my outside leg over but not this one yet.
Great concepts Bernardo!
Some of the concepts in the dvd are rarely used in BJJ but are extremely effective.

What if they turn their wrist?? Wouldn't the armbar fail then?
Is there a way to transition to rubber guard
Once I’m in this position, the finish is so strong, there’s no need for follow up.
Butterfly arm bar👌

Armbar or triangel!, I think 10th planet has some similiar when they stretch the legs and squeeze!

This is so odd looking armbar. It almost looks like the pressure on Bernardo's arm forces him to tap even if his arm appears to be bent
Yes, it’s so strong it works even if there’s a bend in the arm (the pressure starts to transfer into the shoulder).
