How/Why are people branding a mother who wants her kids to be in a better school system as a deadbeat who wanted to run the streets? I’m originally from MS and can tell you Clinton schools are much better than Jackson Metro. Also, people seem to forget Selena suffered a lot of tragedy at that time. Her son was unalived, her mother died, and Selena, herself, had a stroke and had to relearn how to walk and talk. She even had a seizure on Bring It around this time. The girls were best w/their father at that time because it allowed their mom the time and space to grieve, heal, and become whole.

Selena has always been the real deal. I miss her from “Bring It” and if you watched the show, everyone knows that that Selena was a diehard, ride or die parent, when it came to her kids. It was very fake and disingenuous when SoGucci and JJ came for Selena’s motherhood. So glad Carlos did this interview with Selena because watching this episode of Belle Collective I was surprised to see JJ follow up with his wife like that. From watching him and Selena on Bring It I loved to see the friendship they had even though I thought they were divorced. He always seemed to be the fun and funny father who was present in his girls' lives. So I was disappointed and surprised he went in the way he did on Selena would have thought he would have been disappointed in both of them because he likes peace and would have sat them both down to get this situated.

So many people have blended families, that really exploring it via the show would be valuable. We can see the struggles but hopefully also the journey to wholeness as one family. When Gucci's daughter was speaking about how she felt growing up with the girls I felt that it could have been the beginning of some real family therapy, with a professional who is trained to help them navigate all of the miscommunication, emotions and healing. So yes to Selena joining and I'm going back and watching all of the episodes of Bring It because I hadn't watched that show when it was on, but now my interest is peaked!
When you look at it that way, it will be good for her to join. However, it should be for that only. They both need to take mature steps to repairing the family. At least Marie and Latecia are truly concerned about them being a healthy, blended family. I think the others, aside from Akeisha would get in the way of it. But at least she has some that will help Sogucci and Selena see where they are wrong and encourage them to do better.

So it was surprising that now that we're in a different setting, you're not speaking again. But Gucci spirit isn't right. The things she said about the shower and comparison to her daughters shower showed her real heart. Gucci wasn't mentioned or shown on Bring IT, I wish they would've kept Selena and the girls off this show. It's definitely causing a rift in their family.
