It's more like the most irritating tribe. Every Sliver player I've come across runs Sliver Overlord, and they've always been miserable to play against. Plus, they always whine when they inevitably get board wiped. Every Sliver player I've met gets either really salty or starts being a try hard when things don't go their way.

Been playing Slivers since Tempest. M14 prerelease had me absolutely giddy. Opened 4 Predatory Slivers and a foil one. I lost two games that entire tournament.
I learned to play commander in the forge of "playing against my friend's sliver deck". My favorite novelty that happened was I began using Ugin's -X to exile them all, so he got a copy of Ghostflame Sliver
I loved hydralisks in Starcraft, and Slivers just remind me of the Zerg in general. All that said, First Sliver is insanely powerful, actually one of the strongest cards in the deck is the Hibernation Sliver. Can protect your stuff against removal but you can also just bounce a card back and replay it again to trigger more cascades
Unrelated but I vividly remember the face of a First Sliver pilot , when in response to his krosan verge sb cast disallow ❤ Easiest way of dealing with slivers is not letting them play the game 😊😊
Back when I still played Magic, Silver decks were Kill On Sight because in a game where we could have anywhere from 6 to 10 players, it's pretty crazy how we could ALL agree to blow up anyone using Slivers ASAP.
You know what one of my friends did? He made a Rukarumel deck, with the first sliver, and Pantlaza. Rukarumel enters, choose sliver. All creatures you control are slivers. Cast The First Sliver, cascade, cast Pantlaza, cascade. Then, when you cast a dinosaur, you discover AND cascade. And guess what? Each dinosaur that enters from the cascade/discover will trigger discover again, until the toughness is too low.
I think he should choose a Dinosaur due to Pantlaza? Rukarumel automatically make the Sliver and choosen type creature as same type, choosing Sliver is redundant.
@jinbrosfiguresitout3816 No. Choosing Dinosaur for Rukarumel means that casting a dinosaur will not trigger the first sliver. All creatures need to be Slivers so that all creatures trigger the first sliver and cascade.

Sliver overloard, intruder alarm, gemhide sliver and heart sliver in theory can allow you to summon your entire creature base in one turn assuming you start with cheaper slivers and work your way up in many value.
First commander deck I built getting back into magic was a First Sliver deck and lets just say I was not well liked until I made my Urtet Myr tribal deck 😅😅
As a soul who spent so much money to have every GOOD sliver in 1 commander deck, I've cascaded from 6 mana down to 1 CMC and my goodness giving them all haste and mana dork abilities so fast. Sliver are by far the best archetype hivemind. My friends gear all their decks to be able to compete with it. If they can actually defeat the deck they feel very very happy

the only way to really stop slivers is with the 3 anti-slivers. i know one gives them all defender, another makes slivers deal one damage to their owner. but that's about it after indestructible and shroud
It would be more funnier when Cyclonic Rift hit the board, I'll tap all my Lands and Slivers for colored mana for floating once Cyclonic resolve. I cast Quick Sliver, and recast Crystalline, Manaweft, Heart and Hivelord.
They don't turn into an aura attached to a creature with the ability to turn them back for 1 mana. I have a fondness for licids. Rath was so cool with the slivers, spikes and licids.

I run slivers with Sisay Weatherlight Captain as the commander. Only thing better than hivelord is an instant speed tutor for hivelord in response to a board wipe!
I literally am not allowed to play my slivers in my group. We got curious. Did 5 decks vs my slivers. All decks made with the express purpose of beating slivers. Still was able to take down all 5 opponents in 1 combat
Ima just use Sen Triplets, Liesa, Fleet Swallower. Mill half your deck, Exile what you Mill then I'll use hand destruction and then take what's left with The Triplets.
When i started playing magic in highschool one of my freinds had every sliver in the game. Ever since i refuse to play against slivers. If you pull out a sliver i fold and tell you to have a nice day.
I have one Sliver deck. It's a stealth Slivers deck, because the commander is Hofri Ghostforge. I get all the combat Slivers so it's pretty brutal, I absolutely deserve all the ass whuppin' it brings me 😂
I would just bounce all my slivers to my hand with Hibernation Sliver and then cast them all again with Quick Sliver (flash) and Root Sliver so they can’t be countered play the unbeatable 5 sliver combo and continue messing with you until I want to end it. Ghostflame Sliver makes All is Dust useless as well
We banned slivers, infect, and comp deck lists at our table. They all have their place but we have had too many (instances) 😅 where 3 out of 4 play for a fun interactive game and the other just likes to be a troll with the excuse of (I like to win). To each their own. Yall have fun!!!

Most of Slivers gives global ability not targeting... they will get the +1/+1 on Muscle, Ward 2 on Diffusion but can't have regenerate on Crypt Sliver or Magma +1/+0 on each Sliver.
Slivers are why i have a deck that targets mana rocks and blows up lands, and I'm not sorry about it. if I see a deck like that in a regular for fun non-competitive game I bring out my mean decks and target only that player till there dead
2020-08-07: Because a spell with overload doesn't target when its overload cost is paid, it may affect permanents with hexproof or with protection from the appropriate color. Ruling says otherwise.

You can handle one sliver
You might even handle two slivers
But three slivers? No, three slivers is your doom, befriend them quickly or perish.
Slivers were one of the most OP kindred in Tempest, holy flick.
However, elementals in Lorwyn also gave some headaches to players 😂

yeah. you get to play it once uncontested. after that you get 2 turns before your hated off the table.
Correct answer to cyclonic rift would be frenetic sliver and dregscape sliver.
They forget the part where someone casts blood moon and the sliver player acts like a two year old about it
