Honest first impressions of the Bushmen Thermo 3x3 Tarp. I test the Thermal Tarp in freezing conditions. Is it better than a regular tarp? I was not paid to make this video.
I just ordered one. I imagine it's also less transparent than most tarps and gives better UV protection and shadow on a hot summer day. Turned around with the silver side on the outside it might also help with reflecting the sun, if so desired. It also appears relatively light-weight, compared to other tarps, despite the added functionality.
I like the tarp very much. It would have been nice to give a cost estimate and a source along with the information you conveyed. I wouldn't know how to get one or how much money to set aside. I am a 70 yr.old non computer savvy kind of person. I have a tablet which I only use to watch UA-cam and that is it. I did enjoy your video and gave a thumbs up and subscribed. PS. Regarding the claimed thermal camera issue that the wink, wink guy mentioned. It can likely be tested at a fire department. They often have such equipment for rescues and most likely would help you resolve that issue. That would be good content for another video on the tarp and possibly other things.

Do you think that, given its condensation issue, it would make for a bad for a bad suvival blanket? I've been swithering to get it for that very purpose, and now I'm not so sure.
If you are looking for just a survival blanket, I think a good mylar one would be better at reflecting body heat. Lighter, smaller and cheaper too! The condensation issues can't be avoided unless you buy or make one from a material that allows vapor to pass through e.g. Gore-Tex
@@alecsibley3415 I've got an Arcturus mylar job, but it's not really portable. Also, Grunt Proof, demonstrated they don't make for good tarps, whilst the Bushmen is primarily one. It's disappointing about the condensation issue. I guess it is what it is, though. Thanks for your thoughts on the matter. 'Tis much appreciated.
That sounds like something the devil would say: Their is no Heaven without Hell, or in another way. Their could be no Heaven if their was no Hell, thereby glorifying hell a place of Everlasting Torment! I guess this is why God tells you not to glorify the things of this world, because if you have eyes to see, you would be amazed how many of our everyday products that we use have references to the Devil like this!

You will enjoy using it 😊 It doesn't block more light than other light weight tarps as its not multi layered.
