Seeing these collabs between the top athletes of climbing instead of the unhealthy poisonous rivalry we see in alot of other sports is the epitome of being rolemodels for the next generation!

I don’t know who the hell is behind Mammut branding project or marketing or whatever, but getting Ondra on their team and doing those kind of videos is absolutely magic. And they’re doing a brilliant job, because there’s no point of comparison with, for example, Megos videos. Anyway, what an amazing era for sport climbing with Ondra, Seb Bouin, Jakob Schubert, Stefano Ghisolfi and Alex Megos pushing that hard. And girls doing exactly the same
Me after making my long way to the cave: Oh climbing Guru. What is your adwise to improve to climbing my first 7a? Adam: AAAAAAAAAAH!! AAAAAAH! Me: Can someone translate?
Apart from the crazy climbing i LOVED the soundtrack. It sounded like jon hopkins and that is one of the greatest compliments you can give a producer today. The quality from editing, to sounddesign, cinematography and the climbing itself is next level!
This is the climbing video that resonated with me the most by far. The mental part of having just a couple more tries and knowing full well you just have to stick that one last move is super draining.
What an unreal video/series. 2 titans of sport climbing taking on one of the sickest, hardest lines I’ve ever seen, and capturing it with extremely high quality. We are blessed
I really respect the honesty of how frustrating it is to try these routes again and again. We all get frustrated with projects and its nice to know that even world class climbers can be just as frustrated but still, eventually, send.
What a truely mindblowing piece of film-making ! I never really realized how enormous this cave is until I saw some of those shots. Bravo ! Can't wait to see how this project Big unravels
The chess position at 14:32 is actually very cool and very sharp, lots of ideas like Qa3 which if black doesn’t give back the bishop leads to a nasty attack
This is insane. You and Adam are looking so solid on it and I cannot wait for round two. You and Adam are such huge inspirations and I am so glad you guys have the opportunity to work together on something as awesome as this.
So nice to see 2 wonderful climbers working together in a project like that. Sport climbing is just a so different sport ! Thank you Jakob and Adam for rising up the spirit of sport.
Danke für das super Video! Wir haben it euch mitgezittert, mitgeschwitzt U Daumen gedrückt! Großartige Leistung und echt cool, daß Adam und du das Projekt gemeinsam angegangen seid! Alles Gute weiterhin!
Incredible video quality, congrats on everybody involved, this project is huge. Also, it's nice to see somebody making chess analogies not just on the surface but actually giving off the impression they know the game ;)
what an amazing time to be alive! being able to witness something like this is mindblowing! > Side note with a prediction: those guys are so modest than once they sent it the will not dare grade the route 9c+ but will setlle for "hard 9c" . Once they are done, come back here and tell me I was wrong ;)
WOW! It was one of the best climbing videos I've ever watched! Everything is adorable: rock, route, landscape, music, atmosphere, and finally climbers. Watching how the best climbers do their job is a great pleasure. Fantastic! I want to see more of that duo! Hopefully, both of you will send this route. I am psyched to watch sending video! So amazing to see these collaborations and seeing the strongest climbers of the world facing the mental climbing challenges. It makes it so much more relatable for the average climber to see how top climbers are facing these issues. Really inspiring and full of good lessons! So much respect for this!
Adam, and Jakob! What interesting Biblical names you both have! I urge you to find their meaning. Thank you both for such a beautiful struggle, a beautiful story. I love the route that takes us to excellence. As you both have proved, maybe not yet realized, excellence is a complete matter of the mind. Excellence in climbing combines the mind over the body. You both know this far beyond the masses. There will come a time when the body fails to keep up with the instilled mindset. How you navigate this will wind up being the sum of all your effort, and understanding. I'm so proud of who you guys are and what you've done with your lives! Top notch excellence! Its just that it doesn't stop. When your ready the next step is spiritual humility. You'll have to find that route on your own. Make no mistake my brothers, you will have to navigate this terrain from your own soul. Thank you for all your work, and all your excellence in it. You guys are poetry on the rock! Much love, much respect, so much appreciated! Climb on... 66carpenter
The crux of this route, which is very difficult indeed, comes when they are just pumped, completely. That move is very hard, but it's twice as hard when you do not have the strength anymore.
This is really amazing, we're getting wonderful videos from Adam, Stefano and Jakob at the same time, maybe the three best climbers in the world? Bravo!
@@asdzt123 Yeah, I know! He just hasn't been posting quite as many videos, and none from Flatanger (which is in Trøndelag, the county where I learned to climb more than 40 years ago, so it has a special place in my heart!)
It is crazy how rusty some of the bolts in flatanger look after such short time. Shows the influence of the nearby sea? Also it almost looks like it is stainless steel, mixed with just the washer out of plated steel. This Video and the recent one of Adam really make me want to go there! Amazing!
Oh man, watching this brings back so memories of that place, especially as you start on the 7a route which I couldn't finish...the middle section was a pain... loved watching this, but would be nice to see the route from the start more and understand where it actually goes and how long? Hopefully we'll find out in the next video/s... good luck guys!!
Makes me warm inside hearing foreign climbers swearing 🤬 in English. Then going straight into thire mother tongue 🤣 what a pair of monsters you both are. All that climbing and the easy 8a to the top. Mind blowing 💪 Superb video. 🔥
Stefano should have tried Project Big instead of Silence during his time at Flatanger; this route is his exact style! He would somehow find ways to rest up to full where it feels impossible.
It was awesome working on Project Big together with Jakob, and I am more than psyched for round 2!

Missing Seb Bouin in there even though his videos are in french (with subs).

And Seb Bouin, and Megos, and the TAMY group in Japan as well, and a few others here and there!

if you have time to say "take" 3 times while you are falling, well that's a giant whipper
i think the third one is an echo of the cave, but yea..
Wow. Jakob falling through the air yelling “take take take!”
My life would have flashed before my eyes in that moment
One "take!" for every draw you skipped is the standard, no?
You really need to trust your gear to skip so many draws. Was all hardware stuff used from Mammut?
That whipper at @27:00 was bone chilling. My soul would have left my body. Jakob skipped three draws and took rope out to clip overhead. Props to the belayer for catching that.
I think that belayer was Domen Skofic.
The belayer didn't catch that. The Grigri did. look at how dude is belaying with brake hand up. If he was using a reverso, jakob would be dead
@@xavierx93 he was taking as fast as he could, and he knows how to use a grigri. It would grab even if it slipped a little if he pulled the rope down (even while slipping). But if he needed to take as much as possible
