Hard to believe we can watch this videos with such high quality on UA-cam for free. Amazing stuff. Looks like such a beautiful place and an incredible wall.
I just love that Adam can put a video out showing not just success, but his challenges too. I can't wait to see him complete this project successfully.
These vids are templates on how to overcome nearly any challenge: breaking them down, focusing on what’s required for each part, mindful practice, perseverance, etc. Truly great work!
try keeping your child in bed. I bet he climbs out of the baby box before he can walk. just casually using a kneebar to get to the next transition. in 2 years it's on the roof. Goodluck and enjoy!!
Seeing Adam climb his projects is beautiful as usual, but can we just appreciate the montage also? The aspect ratio and colour slowly changing in the intro is FIRE 🔥
I like that Reel Rock can't try to construe the narrative like they did with Sharma and Adam trying to portray competition when they were infact working together. Adam and Jacob are definitely working together
Most at this level have a strong competitive mind, im sure there is friendly competition. Cool thing about climbing (and most adventure sports) is, whilst you're competing against each other, you're both competing against nature
Did Reel Rock try to construe a deep rivalry or competition? I mean, Sharma directly invited Adam to try the project in the film and there were frequent discussions of beta and how motivated Chris was having Adam there and how thankful Adam was. It is of interest who will send first, but I think the film portrayed them as friendly and cooperative but the upper echelon of athletes.
@@derekcraig3617 eh, even with the original from Reel Rock, there is a little forced melodrama but isn’t much. They are shown repeatedly working together and talking about working together and passing the legacy and motivation for one another and such. I do get the point, especially compared to la dura complete the announcer and side interviews attempt to build some competition, but that is more didn’t add anything relevant than constructing a false narrative.
I really enjoy every single video you put out. Somehow due to how these videos are constructed and the personal touches throughout the series, when I saw your little guy - I felt like a proud uncle! Beautiful. Wishing you and your family the best and for BIG things in 2023.
This is such an incredible series. After a lifetime of working projects of my own, seeing the best in the world going through the same process is just wonderful. Thank you Adam and Mammut for taking us all along.
So nice to see climbers fighting individually on WWC and fight together on this project. A really new deal compare to my time where climbers pullout the bolts to avoid that someone else do the new route before them. Sometime present is better than past.
You and Magnus are radically changing my life... In so many ways... It's like you teach me everything i haven't been teached by my genitors. Watched Magnus for a week, went to a wall for the first time friday evening. Bought a little pair of climbing shoes. I'm 1m83, 95 kg. Always been to heavy. I've swimmer shoulders, i know i can develop force, but not to lift myself yet... When i see you guy flying away like it was nothing, I'm stunt... Sur I'm almost 40 and nearer from the end than the beginning of life... But I can reach much progress until then. When i hear the support and the way people talk to each other, very directly, correcting each other, giving tricks and such, gives me hope about the "positive" competition spirit (opposed to the competition to death that I consider like a major factor of everything that is wrong on the planet)... So yeah, be careful, thank you for so much beauty, you guys are so crazy inspiring.
Imagine having climbed 9C and then stumbling on flat ground, hitting your pinky, and being rendered unable to climb for the day... and the fact that they caught it on camera! 😅😅 It turns out that Adam Ondra is mortal after all.
jestli mi někdo moh k vánocům něco dát, tak přesně tohle. Muž křičící v jeskyni ale s úsměvem na tváři. Hustý, držím palce, ať to vyjde, nemůžu se dočkat.

Love your docu style videos. Very dreamy, super exciting, amazing music, everything is just perfect. Goodbye nails I'd say 😂 😂
For a top level athlete like you I imagine not getting sick is a top priority. Would be interested to know what can't of measures you take to stay healthy. I have noticed that since I started working from home due to Covid I got sick way way less. No more catching a cold in the winter and only catching the flue 1 time in 3 years, while in the past I tended to get sick multiple times a year.
I started getting sick more because staying inside with a family means keeping their virus closer to you and closed inside 4 walls and a roof, while outside you don't expose yourself to nearly as much viruses, as the environment is spacious and the air flows. Before covid I got colds once every 3 years or so, during covid it was twice a year (but I'm also taking into account as colds all the sickness the crazy weather in Curitiba cause us tho, so it was a bit less than that) Idk why I started talking lol, bye
I mean obviously staying inside 24/7 will mean you get infected less with flu or covid. But this is not a very sustainable or sociable way of living, neither will it have a great impact on your immume systems, meaning that WHEN you DO catch a cold it is probably going to be worse.
Imbarazzante la precisione, la tecnica e la velocità di esecuzione...io non sarei in grado di salire cosi veloce sulle scale di casa......sei il numero 1 Adam.....spacca tutto cazzo!!
I only have to say…..thank you very much, you are a really inspiration for all the climbers. Keep going and send that proyect, you can do it!!!💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Pretty cool video, thx for keeping the climbing community updated on this. Looking forward to watching the outcome of this journey, but take ur time we can wait:)
Beautifully done video. I quit climbing 6 years ago and am restarting and I'm amazed how the production has developed in just a few years. Remembering La Dura Dura just to name one example.
I'm just getting back from the flue and after 2 weeks of a climbing break this motivated me to get up, pull it together and get back into the training mindset!! 🙌 Thanks AO for the inspiration that you are. Your job and passion might be climbing but you have no idea how inspirational this content is to the climbing community 🫶
To tvoje lidi obdivují, to moje pak z velké většiny dělají. Určitě, uznávám ty, kdo posouvají hranice a rekordy, ale ke štěstí stačí pár pěkných chytů na slunku, kamarád, lano... úplně stejně jako ty překonávané extrémy.
Love it. But consider the impact showing Adam belaying with a GRIGRI has. Lots of beginners (at least in the gym I work as instructor) take that as literal example and don't use proper belaying technique with a GRIGRI. They tell me "Adam Ondra does it like this!". The recommended and more safe way to belay with a GRIGRI is to use the break hand at all times. For paying out slack you hook your index finger under the metal edge on the right side of the device and push down the gray cam with your thumb - still having your hand around the break rope. To let go of your hands you can simply tie an overhand knot in the break rope so any slippage is limited. Sometimes people tell me "but I'm short roping my climber!" as an excuse to not use proper belaying technique. If you move towards the wall while paying out slack it works much smoother.
Love the quality of video Ondra always puts out. So excited for the send. QUESTION: Does anyone know the piece of music that's playing at the very start of the vid? It's so beautiful
This vlog series has better production value than most modern documentaries, in or out of climbing. This is a gift to the world.
100%
In particular the audio. The explanations picked directly on the wall is not something we often get and the echo effect of the cave was awesome.
The narrative structure and editing of this is really really good
ikr? Fucking Euros and their sense of aesthetics!

the graphic throughout the video showing us where on the route you were was amazing. shout out to whoever on the ao team came up with it!

Don't forget Shawn crushing some nice boulders too !!
@@braindamagedyoshimitsu4345 yeah shawn really showed what is possible this year

No doubt lol Superbaby.Didn't know you had a child Adam congratulations 👏 😄

He’s gonna look away for like 30 seconds and turn back to find his bébé free soloing a telephone pole

This video format with the closeups on the hand holds as Adam is going for them is insaaaaanely satisfying to watch!! WOW!
What a gem of a video!
Production quality!
Best xmas gift.
La calidad cinematográfica que están cogiendo los vídeos de Adam es increíble, maravilloso trabajo Adam 🤝
Really a Super video. Thanks Adam for your performances, for you motivation and for the filming team that you gather
