Wow, been looking for something like this! Other portable small sliders that do this are very costly. This is the perfect slider for what I do and will be a great addition that will easily fit into one of my backpacks or anyones Kit. Great review, thx Jonas
Great and comprehensive view. I've been traveling with a gimbal and it's great but definitely not as linear as a slider. This looks like a great design and size. One of the things that I've found with my Syrp Genie is that it tends to tilt the head as it gets further out to the end of the slider. Have you found that to be the case with this? Adding it to my Amazon wish list regardless. Thanks. -Henry
Looks pretty good. Is there any adjustment for resistance on the movement? Would be cool if you could take two of those and stack one on top giving you extra length but still maintain a small footprint when travelling. Thinking now.... Great review Jonas, thank you.
Thanks Jeff! That is a good point. I haven't actually found an adjustment for resistance... And I feel a little embarrassed now that didn't look all that close for one either. :) I will check again and if I find it I'll let you know!
As a wildlife videographer, I think this slider may be useful to me. Question, have you tried exceeding the 5 kg before? Super telelphoto lens tend to be heavy..
I don't think I have gone over 5kg actually. I know they have a new version that is slightly longer that has additional legs that supports the ends of the slider. Not sure if it helps but it might be a better option for you.b best, Jonas
@@robnelsonfilms Always! i learn so much from you guys, and it is such a motivator. One of the few channels where I go back to old videos to refresh my memory and apply what I've learned since. We're always improving right? Even if they're tiny baby steps.
Wouldn't call it slippery at all. The slide mechanism is very different to the carbon fiber rods. It is a really smooth, kind of controlled movement actually.
Nice. Sliders are used a lot for small, steady movements and just add that little extra to a shot. The difference between going handheld and getting a slightly jerky movement and a slow steady slide is often pretty significant. Of course it always depends on what look you are after. Sometimes handheld is all you need, sometimes slides look better.

Hi Richard! Glad you liked it! Thanks!
Pretty interesting setup. My first thought was comparing it against a gimbal, so I'm really glad you touched on that. Thanks for the review!
Hey Corey! I kind of thought people would say that so I had to mention it. :) Glad you liked it!
Thanks for the great review!

Hey Henry! No so far I haven't experienced anything like that. That sounds strange. The Syrp is cool but definitely takes up a lot of space.

@@robnelsonfilms Alright, let me dig through their catalogue, thanks!
Do you have an update on this? Looks like there are more out in the market now and this is currently unavailable.
Awesome stuff, as always
Thanks Floris!

I didn't even know sliders existed.. thanks
