We have a Vivosun 4'X8' Tent in our grow room. 5 Stars. Just purchase a 4X4 for my Son, in northern Minnesota. Great product. Appreciate you and MyDankDog channel.
Thanks mate, this is my first Vivosun product. That's cool to hear. It's very well built. It's also very different to any other grow tents I've had. Perfect for small spaces. I'm looking forward to seeing the results. I'll be germinating Blackberry Moon Rocks auto this week and getting her started in this VGrow.
Ethos: Mandarin Sunset. The unit was default set at 100% for seedlings, which was too harsh, she is going slowly after I turned it down to 60%. No stretching, I think she is stunted. I am expecting some Banana Butter Cup x Grape Rock Candy from Square One genetics tomorrow, maybe I will have to pop one if the Ethos does not work out.😉 Great video,I look forward to the rest as I try to keep up!
Haha, my missus, thinks it's very cool too. I'm starting the Blackberry moon Rocks in it within the next week or so. It's pretty cool that the grow will be set up next to my TV in the living room.
It's different, and it's pretty cool. Good for stealthy grows and a space saver. The light specs are, 100W full spectrum light, Samsung LM301H EVO with adjustable dynamic spectrum for each stage of plant growth. I think the light spectrum is attached to the smart app, I'll have to find out more as I do my homework. Everything will become more apparent for us all, as I start to grow in it.
Wait Vivosun developed an app to control lights. I know Vivosun was knows for cheap good tents. Exciting to see they try to sell higher class stuff too. Pleasee review the App, what it can control and if their controller supports lights from other brands. Sad ACInf is only controller which is app supported and can control lights from other brands too.
@@RonaldRegain It's a very well made Smart Grow Box and app. I've never owned a Vivosun grow tent before, this one is very good quality. The app controls the whole VGrow environment, not just the lights. It's an in depth app. I'll be reviewing it as I grow the plant.
@dankydave Our Vivosun setup paid for itself in just one grow! So much so, we have a reminder on the phone, set for every other Saturday, the amount of money we have saved by not needing to go elsewhere. 😀
I ordered two tents from them. One for baby plants, one for serious stuff. Just the tents. They were the only company which had the specific size I needed. But to be honest I would have loved something a bit more "heavy". The small one has wicked light leaks, which is not really an issue. And we ignore the minimal leaks on the bigger one. For now.
Hey mate. This VGrow is not like a traditional tent, so I can't really compare it to another tent. The base is the watering system, so it has a good sturdy foundation. The top smart cover is an air circulation, carbon filter, LED, touch screen. So the whole smart box is different. It has zero light leaks and combines a very thick faux leather outer with a zip opening and a magnetic window. It's very different to a traditional grow tent.
Yeah maybe after I try the water wicking system. I want to try and get a decent sized grow in here first. The tent is probably very good for cup challenges though.
@battlemorph I grew massive plants in solo cups. But my tent is filled with a well trained plant, tomorrow on 12/12. If you consider how small Rockwood systems can be, a solo cup is no issue, just lots of work. Or an irrigation system. For me not possible because I harvest perpetually. I hope ;)
@@mydankdog sure, sir. I have no doubts that a plant will be happy in there, if tamed properly. And I am happy about my tents, perfectly fine. The minimal light leaks I mentioned won't be that harmful. Nothing against them, I was a bit to sarcastic

It's a very stealthy option, you could place it out in plain sight and it will blend in. I'm interested to see what the results are like. Stay tuned, thanks for watching mate!
Nice to see a review on this! Was planning on purchasing when first was released. Looked a bit short for my liking tho. Hope it works out well for you! Cheers! 😙👌🏼💨
Yeah, I guess you'll be able to see via my first grow. I'd say the top lid saves space by not having hanging lights and a traditional inline fan tubing. It's very hard to compare this to a traditional tent. It's something else. It would be very cool if a traditional large tent had some of these feature. Maybe that's the route forward in some cases. But for a person with very little space, or someone wanting to be discreet, or a beginner, this is a cool idea.
The lights can't be lowered but the intensity can pumped higher and lower. I haven't grown in it yet, I'll be starting a Blackberry Moon Rocks auto in a week. So we will see how it performs.
A few people are asking the same question mate. It's too early for me to comment. The plant is still a seedling and has no odour. Give it a few more weeks and I'll make it part of the video episode.
I haven't set it up yet, but no. The laces will become wet and wick up the water from the water well. The bottom of the fabric pot will be placed on top of those 'wet laces' and the liquid will be absorbed through the bottom of the fabric pot. It's similar to bottom feeding through a fabric pot when you pour liquid into a tray that a fabric pot sits in and absorbs.
That Vgrow looks like it has alot more thought put into it compared to other AIO grow boxes. Nice to see them include all those little extras that people don't think about when it comes to growing. One question though, I like that green light that it puts off in the background, but are they able to be shut off for a more stealthy grow?
Mate your Global Grow Cup submission is absolutely fantastic! She looks amazing, really nice job! The green light on the touch screen turns off. The green light in background is mine, it's an LED I added to make it look cool with the lights off. Otherwise I'd be filming a dark room.... haha. Let's get back on to your Global Grow Cup, did you make the stand for the cup? Did I mention how awesome she is?
@mydankdog Thanks, Brother, for the kind words. I really appreciate that 🙏. The stand is actually a beer can ,bbq chicken stand that I had found at the dollar store. I just needed to find something that served 2 purposes. #1. Make it easier to film and #2. Give the cup more stability, and because of the auto watering system, it needed it to be move level for better water dispersion. But back to the green background lighting, awesome touch. It actually looks like something that was actually incorporated into the box . The color matched perfectly 👌

@@777Dorado 100% As you know, it's never that simple. I am 100% sure I'll have to do more, and add something here and there. These ladies can be demanding, and every strain/grow asks for something new or different. I'll 100% try a photo on the second grow, I'll have to put it to the test.
Should I add a fertilizer to my mix also??? If so can you recommend one....
Are you using the coco brick and nutrients that came with the VGrow kit or something else?
