Im actually getting chills. I know its probably going to be a bit rough at first, i cant imagine the nightmare that is coding a game like this, but i LOVE the decisions they're making! I'm so excited to make my own parafolk and build their stories 😭
i'm absolutely stoked for this game. I've been following its development since the very beginning and after the live mode release, i finally decided to start donating to their Patreon. I want this game to be amazing, and i can envision myself playing it as much as i've played The Sims all these years. For some, it may not be their cup of tea, maybe for the artstyle (which, albeit cartoony, i think has the best chance of not feeling too old years down the line) or maybe for the relaxed vibe of the game, but for me, this might aswell completely replace The Sims. The devs have so much respect for us, both as gamers and as customers and i am so glad there's people like them in the industry.
I really really love the Rpg-esque aspect of the game. It makes it more in depth for me. As much as I love the free expansion, I don't mind them having a paywalled pack. Not game play pack just small things like Sims 4 kits or Sims 3 store set. Something that doesn't add a feature behind a paywall.
I was not impressed with the Sim 4 so I am really looking forward to Paralives. Between this and what I'm assuming is Sims 5 coming too I am happy to finally have something to play for hours on end again.
The new video has completely revitalized my anticipation for this game. I am BEYONDDDDDD excited for this, I honestly can’t wait. I love that they’re going to make subsequent updates and features completely free. I’m definitely going to donate to them
I like the style I do think the line art on the characters can look a little excessive and harsh in some areas but maybe the the comic like style is intentional but they can ease it a bit in some areas still
I'm so excited for this game! I love the art style, I'm not a huge fan of the more realistic look of Life By You or Inzoi, it looks kinda uncanny to me. Plus, I probably wouldn't be able to play them on the highest settings, so in the end they'd look even worse for me. Also, the more realistic the graphics are, the more annoying and distracting it is to me when an animation doesn't look quite right, or if something clips through something else. More cartoony styles are just way more forgiving, because there's already a level of suspension of disbelief. I'm really excited for the lore of this game, and I hope they strike a good balance between giving the player agency and also letting the game just throw stuff at you. My most memorable saves in any Sims game are those where something randomly happened that took my story in a completely different direction, so I hope Paralives will provide that. All in all, I have very high hopes for this to be good!
I have watched quite a few Paralives reviews, including this latest gameplay preview on other channels. Each time I’ve come away, thinking this game isn’t that great and boy do they have a long way to go to catch up to where the Sims four is. That is until I watched your video. No one has made this game seem appealing to me until you. The depth that you went into looking into all of the features and the enthusiasm that you showed for what you were finding has actually made me excited to see this game when it’s finally ready to go. So thank you for creating a sense of excitement about it for me. 💛💛💛
I don't mind the look of the Para's themselves too much, but I did think a lot of the environment and gameplay looked very 'mobile game', so hopefully that gets a lil' tweek as they develop.
I'm as hyped for Paralives as ever and I love all the littel details the trailer shows. I have to say I find the first person singular an interesting take. It makes it seem like they have thoughts and not just 'tokens' of wants like moodlets. When it comes to the DLCs I'm of course supportive of a full fletched base game but I'm kinda worried that they may would not be able to fund new features once the game is out. Like I'd rather pay for a bunch of new content at some point instead to have no new content at all, but I guess that highly depends on what happens to the team in the future.
@@PleasantSims They've spoken on this, basically they hope that consistent sales will fund future development. If you think about it, Minecraft still releases large updates once or twice a year. No Man's Sky is a space exploration type game that also gives their players free updates as well. The whole expansion pack thing isn't really common for a lot of game genres! So excited to finally have another life sim option, maybe EA will change things up now that they no longer have a monopoly on the market.
WOW :D this looks to me like what sims 3 should have been , then :D I'm so happy we get Paralives soon, they seem to have listened to the commnity while creating this game, I love it already . ALSO : I am so glad Cindy makes Sim vids again ^^ thx sista
With this gameplay reveal they've also made a few patreon posts public detailing the features we see there (they have a compilation post linked in a recent post on their community tab here on yt) and it's SO cool. It also explains and goes into more detail about things they didn't really show as much in the video (such as the job being a rabbit hole even tho the cafe is not just a shell and a lot of other things, like relationship labels we didn't see and details on how personality points work - there's debuffs if your para has zero points in a trait!)
I'm very excited about this, and I do like the art style a lot. Especially the music is just so beautiful and relaxing. I'm wondering if you'll make a video about Life by You, I'm curious about your opinion on that.
So I'm worried about the reveal of no paid DLCs this early. Its not that I don't believe them or anything like that, I'm just worried that they have promised that too early. I mean look at Dreamlight Valley, they said the game would be free and quests would never be behind pay walls and they went back on both of those. I hope I'm just worrying for no reason, because the game looks great, and honestly, I wouldn't mind paying for extra content to help support them, especially if the game turns out as awesome as it seems so far. I'm excited for more. Also, another thing that worries me a little is the whole thing felt staged still, like maybe it was being done in a controlled environment versus being in engine, mainly because of the edits and skip aheads...I would like to see an unedited preview of gameplay too, even if it would be a bit longer. Of course that is probably just me overthinking stuff. I want the game to be great and succeed and actually be a competitor to The Sims so we can have multiple Life Sim games to play that compete and build off of what the other is doing. I can't wait for 2025 :D
i can't wait to customize a world, like it seems like it should but such a basic thing for a life sim to have, but after playing the sims 4 for so long i just want to be able to make houses and lots where ever i want, i was never able to get into the create a world from the sims 3 so it'll be like a completely new feature for me which im both excited for but also a little upset hasn't been the norm for a long time. nevertheless i think it'll be a great game even if it will likely have it's flaws, i love the sims 4 and it has a lot of flaws so a game like this that clearly has so much love put into it i have a feeling it'll be an all time favorite
I really love the features in this game. I just wish they had 3D character models. Or at least have the option to have 2d or 3d models. Other than that, it looks awesome.
I had my doubts after they changed the art style of the Paras themselves, but I have changed my mind of recently, and after watching the big reveal last week I finally joined their Patreon, so I can find out more sooner, but also to give them a bit of help, it's only the first tier, $3, but since I'm disabled I can't afford much. I personally am excited for both Paralives and Life By You, I like them both for different things, actually them being a bit different from each other and The Sims, makes them me want to play both. I love the idea that soon I will be able to switch between two new life sims, for the first time ever, which I have always wanted. I know a lot of people talk like you have to choose just one of them, but why? They are both good games, and unless you just totally hate one of them, which I don't know how anyone could really, otherwise I think they're both wonderful games and I hope they both do great when they are released! And also, I just spent the day playing The Sims 2, I have a slightly older laptop that can still play the game, which is the one I got for free years ago from Origin. I have gotten so fed up with all the bugs in TS4 that I just wanted to play a game that actually works and I know I can enjoy for a change.

I like nearly everything I heard here and saw, the only thing I think they should change is how paras look when they become old. I think they look like young people that have just wrinkles drawn on their faces. It would be better if their eyes actually become a little smaller, their noses a little bigger and their mouths a little thinner and don't forget that skin is becoming saggy with age, so the skin on their face should sag just a little. So the paras really look like real old people not like young adults that cosplay being old.
"Vibe." Ugh, maybe having terminal cancer isn't so bad after all. I removed that from my wishlist. No thank you. "Vibe" is up there with "wholesome," "toxic," using "cringe" as an adjective when it's a verb, and people who say bro 12 million times a day. "Problematic" is close, but it's needed. Also, "gaslighting."
Pleasant Sims, It’s not music to my ears, because I’m worried that they won’t have enough money or resources to keep the game going as long as long as they could. I’m worried we won’t be getting as much high quality content as we could

"Vibe" is up there with "wholesome," "toxic," using "cringe" as an adjective when it's a verb, and people who say bro 12 million times a day. "Problematic" is close, but it's needed. Also, "gaslighting."
I dont like your vibes bro, not wholesome at all, that’s so toxic and problematic, i cringe
Pleasant Sims,
It’s not music to my ears, because I’m worried that they won’t have enough money or resources to keep the game going as long as long as they could. I’m worried we won’t be getting as much high quality content as we could
wow you slim so much~!!!!
