Great video, as for the sensors maybe try IR reflecting paint instead of the white patch?
An honest and true craftsman who aint afraid to admit he's human and makes mistakes - watching Charlie is like watching a wood wizard at work - great video and well worth the wait - 10/10
Wow, can't thank you enough for that. I've never been called a wizard before! 👊🏻👍🏻
If I could have given two thumbs up I would have, this ones going into my favourites.
Thanks so much. I really appreciate that - 2 👍🏻👍🏻 from me to you too!
that's why you need to be careful with your table saw
A fantastic and very professional looking job Charlie, thoroughly enjoyed this video as well 👍
Thanks so much John. I really appreciate that 👍🏻
Excellent quality of video and build. Well done.
Thanks 👊
…I think you are the definition of a perfectionist.
I’m inspired and intimidated at the same time.
Same here, for me ☺👍
Wow, an amazing amount of detail on how you do everything, I'm going to have to watch this about 3 times to soak it all in. :) Congrats on the build.
Thanks Simon. That's very kind. Glad the whole thing's over. It's been quite a monster, both the build and all the editing!
@@CharlieDIYte are you doing anymore videos and is your wife going to help you if you are
Thank you Charlie. The level of detail you provide and explanations of thought in processes and mistakes make your videos much more useful and watchable.
Thanks mate. Really appreciate the feedback. 👊
That is one seriously posh wardrobe. Well done.
Thanks Daniel 👊🏻
You are a legend! Thank you for sharing. Videos not too long, just comprehensive!
Simon, that's incredibly kind, thanks. Good luck with your project (I'm assuming you're planning one) and drop me a line if you ever have any questions 👍🏻
What a beeeeeautiful result! I've learnt so much and picked up so many helpful tips from this series. Thank you so much. Your videos are a massive cut above most and so enjoyable. Don't ever apologise for the length of them- the detail is much appreciated 🙏
Thanks so much Hannah, I really appreciate that and I'm chuffed you've found them useful. 🙏
Wardrobe 2 years in the making and sooooo worth it. Great series pal.
Thanks Ross. Yes unfortunately with all the other videos and editing the irony is things get done rather slowly round here 🤦
To the End--what a lot of work --Trooper.. EXCELLENT FINISH --GREAT JOB CHARLIE.
Thanks Graham and great to hear from you 👊🏻👍🏻
There are too many great things about Charlie's videos to list them all. For me the top one is his humility and openness about mistakes. It's easy to get frustrated with yourself for mistakes but knowing a pro like Charlie also makes them is comforting and fixing is never as painful as the prospect seems. Thank you Charlie!
Can't thank you enough for that. Yep, I'll always show the mistakes because that's the reality of DIY. I'll get pilloried for them on the other social media channels that I feel obliged to post on but YT is where my proper audience is, and I'll keep it real for as long as you guys appreciate it. Thanks again. It's not easy doing this stuff but I can't tell you how valuable your comments are in incentivising me to keep making the content.👊
Congratulations Charlie! Final series video! 🥳 Thank you for the video series.
Oh thank you dear....have followed this series of videos faithfully......much appreciated. Take care as always
Thanks Val, good to hear from you. I massively appreciate that, as ever!
No need to say sorry Charlie! Extremely thorough as always. You should be well proud of the end result. What a colossal undertaking!! Thanks for all the tips!!!
Thanks mate, I appreciate that. You're very welcome 👊🏻
Just started my build of this project. Plinth completed. Starting the carcass tomorrow - Yay!
Fantastic. Good luck mate 👊
Brilliant final result Charlie. The wardrobes look great. I bet the missus is delighted to get her clothes back out of the garage and bathroom after 2 years! 😂
Thanks Paul. Yes it's pretty cool having a proper wardrobe again.
I'm not used to leaving comments, but you are like a nice book, once you start watching the series you can't stop. Congratulations and thanks.
Thanks Thomas. I really appreciate that. 👊
I have just watched all 7 of these videos. What a true and honest gent you are. Well done with the whole project, I can't wait to put all of your lessons into practice. Thank you so much.
Thanks so much for that, Andrew. Really chuffed you found the videos useful, and massively appreciate the comment. 👊
Worth the wait should get high view rates as I will have to watch the series again to prepare for the 3 closets and walk in wardrobe.
Let's hope so. Slow so far ... Thanks Hugh 👍🏻
Woow...! 👍 Impressive Tutorial - Attention to Detail was Paramount doing this Wardrobe.
Yes, it was. Thanks for the comment 👍🏻
Thank you Charlie for making these videos. There's certain elements of woodworking / cabinet making that are intimidating but you present the methods in a way that's easy for the average DIYer to understand.
You're welcome, mate. Yep, you just have to overcome that initial inertia, and give it a go. You might make a few mistakes but it's all part of the learning process and you'll feel epic once you create something.
To say the others you took inspiration from were professionally made…Yours look way better! Very professional
Thanks Callum - I really appreciate that 👍🏻
All I can say is wow, and well done, video is done to perfection, the "handy man" work is out of the world. Big shout out from South Africa. You are true inspiration.
May be I have not listen properly, but are you a carpenter by trade or just a brilliant DIY person. Thank you for all the detailed info in metric in your link. Gives me the courageous to finally redo my small kitchen, you are a magician and showed everything needed to be done. Thanks for that.
Just a pitty we can not order from all your suppliers.
Well done, lastly, why did you decide on that specific colour? Looks good though.😊
Thanks so much Nat. No, just a DIYer. The paint was Farrow and Ball Hague Blue but mixed by Johnstone's. Really appreciate the comment. Yes go for it, you'll have a lot of fun and will feel epic when you've done it 👊
Thanks for sharing it has been a long project to do and to watch !!! very helpful tips :)
You're welcome Amparo and thanks for watching the whole series! 👍
Thank you Charlie 👍
You're welcome 👍
This is such an AWESOME Job - no wonders you were busy for so long. Thank you so much for sharing all the details with us. You are a star!!! You did such a beautiful job on those wardrobes.
Thank you so much for that 🙏 Yes they're going well. I just need a protective coating for the doors as they do scuff if you accidentally catch them on the drawers.👍.
Great skill. The making of your own tools/templates/jigs is next level
Thanks mate. 👊🏻
Fantastic result! A monumental project! 👍
Thanks!
You really do pack a lot into your videos Charlie. Great work and I enjoy every minute!
Thanks so much David. Really humbled by that! 👊🏻
The nail gun really is brilliant, I picked one up a year or so ago and I've used it for all sorts of jobs. You just need to make yourself a router table, it makes some of the jobs you've done so much easier. Wardrobes look great. 👍
You're absolutely right about the table. The gun is fantastic isn't it!
Charlie, it would well be worth putting an edit of how to adjust the Euro hinges as a separate video. You did a great explanation of how to adjust them there
Thanks Nathan. Yes, I was thinking that, as it's a bit buried away in there, isn't it 👍🏻
The final product is fantastic, looks very professional indeed. You should be very proud of all of the hard work on this.
Thanks Dan. Yes, mostly just relieved to get it finished. It's been a long old project!
Thank you for the video series and being such an inspiration. I've just been building my own wardrobes, albeit with sliding doors. I'm currently constructing the drawers but should be all done in a week or so! Couldn't have done it without your videos. Thanks again.
Thanks William. That's truly humbling to hear that. Similarly I owe so much to you all for keeping me going with the wonderful comments over the years 👊🏻👍🏻
Been desperately waiting for this final video. Well worth the wait. The wardrobes look amazing. Love the colour. Well done Charlie. 👍🍾😊
Thanks so much 🙏 Really chuffed you've enjoyed it. Yes F&B Hague Blue. I was really worried it might be a bit daring but I'm really pleased with it now.
Superb job, Charlie. This project build has been a total triumph. The floor to ceiling wardrobes maximise space & the navy blue shaker style doors are modern yet timeless. So much love, energy & thought has gone into this (not forgetting blood, sweat & tears). Well done! If I want to uber picky, I would have put in a longer inside mirror & a rear view mirror on the inside of the opposite door so you & your other half can see your full outfits front & back & top to toe. Good for your insta photos too but that’s just me! You should be very proud of yourself. Amazing job.
Thanks so much for that wonderful comment. After reading it I went and mulled over your suggestion about the double mirrors. I might have to do that! 👍🏻👊🏻
Brilliant series of builds. Thanks for the inspiration 👍
The level of detail in these videos is amazing, perfect for novices like myself! Always good to see problem solving on the job as well.
Thanks so much. Really chuffed you find them useful and thanks for watching 🙏
Excellent series - thank you
You're welcome. Thanks for the comment 👍🏻
Absolutely a fantastic job looks brilliant
Thanks John 👍
This video was well worth the wait. Great job as always.
Thanks Dylan👍🏻
Charlie you made it! I'm so proud of you and so pleased to hear and see al your experiences and tips! Thank you so much!!
Marleen I'm so humbled by that. So glad you enjoyed it and massive thanks for watching 🙏
Gorgeous wardrobe, much better than your inspiration! ❤
Thanks so much. I need to do an update vid on it - I'm glad to say it's ageing very well.
I really enjoy watching your videos Charlie ive been a keen Diy'er for years..i know that the tradesmen guys have far more expensive tools but you show how you can shop around and get by with less expensive ones..your very humble and explain things with great detail that we can reiterate with..kerp up the Good Work.
This is just what I’ve been looking for. Looks fantastic!
Thanks. Glad you've found it useful. 👊
Fantastic keeping it real the good and bad. 👍
Thanks Tom 👊🏻
You are a DIY Warrior! Great work, great info as always Charlie, thanks!
Thanks Robert 👊🏻
I’m addicted to your videos ! Excellent and so detailed
Thanks so much Hannah, I really appreciate that. 🙏
Very nice project. Going to save these videos for the future. It is a big job but you make it look doable for a DIY er like me.
Super job Charlie so much detail great videos job well done 👏
Thanks Johny 👊🏻👍🏻
excellent project and appreciate the huge amount of effort that goes into the edit.
Thanks mate, I really appreciate that. Yes this edit took a week, non stop 🤦
Good job. I wish you were in the US.
Thanks Michelle. I wish I had more US tools on the channel too!
This has been a epic build.
Thanks mate. Yes, relieved it's over!
Looks fantastic with or without the doors
Thanks John!
Congratulations on your new wardrobe! The final product looks very professional and stylish, I wish you and your family use it happily for a long time 👍👍👍
Aw, thanks so much Mohammad, and good to hear from you again 👍🏻
Brilliant, thankyou for making this video Charlie👍
You're very welcome. Thanks for the comment 👍🏻
You sir should never feel the need to say sorry about the length of your videos. The amount of useful info about the subject of each and every one of your vids is incredible and you deserve all the likes and growth your channel will undoubtedly achieve!! Thankyou for every video you upload. 👌
Ahh yes also the wardrobes look amazing you should be proud! im thinking of tackling some in my sons room! 👍
Thank you, my friend, that's incredibly kind 🙏 Yes you should definitely do that, and drop me a line if you have any questions. 👍🏻
Superb job and a great series of videos. The best bit is that rather than just showing us how you did it, you show us your mistakes, your lessons and how to do better next time. That not only takes a lot of extra time but also a lot of guts to show your flaws.
Just watched all 7 videos. Great mini series. Thanks for sharing all your learnings.
Thanks Mitesh. I really appreciate you reaching all of the vids. Glad you found them useful. 👊
A fantastic job Charlie, of which you should be extremely proud. Thank you for the videos. They’re very informative and please don’t apologise for their length when you cover so much.
Thanks mate, I really appreciate that 👊🏻
Beautiful job Charlie 👍
Thanks mate 👊🏻
Another great project. Honestly a bit too far out of my comfort zone. But what I really like is that I see other tools, hardware and tips that I think "You know what? That might just be the perfect thing for the job I am thinking of doing". Keep out the great work.
That's brilliant Thomas, and actually those other jobs are the springboard to bigger and greater projects. I wouldn't have known where to start something like this 10 years ago 👍🏻
Brilliant such attention to detail and looks great.
Thanks Paul 👍🏻
The finished wardrobe was definitely worth the wait, fantastic work Charlie and it’s been great to follow your journey.
Thanks so much for that Mark. It's been a huge source of encouragement over the years reading wonderful comments like yours. Keeps me going with all the hours of editing 👊🏻
My pleasure Charlie, I look forward to your next project.
Great project Charlie. Well done. Looks fantastic. 👍
Thanks Rod, I appreciate that 👍🏻
Great result and I've gained so many tips for my own project. Thank you!
Thanks for this series Charlie, as a new DIYer it’s been really interesting watching your thought processes
Thanks Alex, I really appreciate that. Good luck with your DIY journey. You'll find it so satisfying. Drop me a line if you ever have any questions 👊🏻
When you're making things completely from scratch into an odd shaped space, there really is no manual or rule book, particularly if you don't have a totally concise end plan and have done it before and encountered all these problems you need to solve. For me, it's watching Charlie deal with these hurdles, and deal with them in a brilliant way that makes the series and the wardrobes themselves an absolute triumph. Also a great way to train your DIY brain for when you don't have the skill set, tools and huge workshop to bail you out.
Very impressive Charlie. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you 👊🏻
Just been informed by my Mrs that i have to make a wardrobe in our room. This will be a very useful video
Love it - best not argue on this! 😉 Good luck and drop me a line if you have any questions.
Also in that club, my wife visited some family and came back with a video of their wardrobes. In their case they brought over a specialist from Italy to make them, I fear expectations may need to be 'managed' if I'm doing them :)
It was well worth the wait. brilliant job.
Thanks Tahir 👍🏻
Such a great series, liked seeing where you went wrong and how you improved your process. Such a superb finish and something which anyone would be hugely proud of.
Thanks so much Andrew 👊🏻
Good job Charlie, bet your glad it’s finished big job.
Thanks Michael. Yes SO relieved. It's been a bit of a killer both the build and editing.
wow, just binge watched the lot! Great set of videos, informative and good style. thanks.
Great job Charlie, that was a mammoth undertaking. You should be rightly proud of that build series, the editing must have been a chore and a half.
Absolutely brilliant!
Thank you so much.
Thanks Howard 🙏
Massive project this and what a result. Such a fantastic effort 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks mate 👊🏻
Such useful videos !!!!!!!! Thank you so much for all the effort in putting these videos together, and even bigger thank you in sharing your experience and knowledge
You're very welcome. So glad you found the series useful and massive thanks for watching. 👊
Great job Charlie - what a marathon. Thorough as ever - personally I'm not interested if the details aren't included. It's so much easier to avoid mistakes with the completeness of your explanations. Oh - and the wardrobes don't look too shabby either!
Thanks Ian. Yes, if you want less detail there's always apps like Instagram for that 😉 👍🏻
Great presentation skills Charlie. I admire you’re honesty and attention to detail. Keep em coming.
Thanks Paul. 👊
Absolutely fantastic. a real top job. glad to see you tell us about your mistakes, as most others just edit them out. which just isn't realistic as the best of us always make mistakes.
Thanks for that. Yes, the mistakes are a crucial part of it, so far as I'm concerned. 👍🏻
Great video, loved watching the entire series.
Thanks, realty appreciate you watching the series 👊🏻👍🏻
Well done - awesome project. Love your ability to tell us the truth, best way for us to learn
Thanks David, I really appreciate that 👊🏻
Amazing finish as usual mate. What a great job and series of videos. 👍🏻
Thanks mate 👊🏻
These look fantastic! Very impressive commitment to getting everything so perfect. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Jack. Really appreciate the comment 👊🏻
awesome set of vids Charlie, your explanation makes this project feel much more accessable
Thanks Paul. That's always the intention but it's so good to hear that it's working 👊🏻👍🏻
I’ve only just discovered Charlies videos. So far this is the best woodworking DIY channel I’ve subscribed too. Amazing videos!!!
Can't thank you enough to your that Rick - that's high praise in what is an increasingly competitive market place. Chuffed you've found my vids useful and great to have you on board. Thanks for the comment 👊
Your video compilation has helped me tremendously with my upcoming project, thank you 😊
You're welcome David. Glad you found it useful. 👍
Thoroughly enjoyed this series of vids. Got some great ideas for my project. Thanks great job.
You're welcome Mark. Thanks for the comment. Really chuffed you found it useful.
Very nicely put together video. I appreciate the work and commitment gone into both the build and the video editing. And its really refreshing to see someone admit their small mistakes and explain them so that others can learn from it. Easily one of my favourite UA-cam channels.
It all looks fantastic, very impressive. Well done! 👍🙂
Thanks Charlie!!
No thank YOU Emma, for the comment 🙏
Great video! I really like all of the mistakes, and how you handle them. This is the real world :)
Thanks John. Really appreciate the comment. Chuffed you found the video useful👍
Best ironmongery for cupboard doors, kitchencabinets, draawers etc in the world. Being an Austrian company, their name is pronounced 'Bloohm', but I don't think they mind either way as long as you buy their products ;)
I used when I build a complete kitchen from scratch some 10 years ago. smooth beyond belief.
They're awesome aren't they. I love the soft close. SO slick!
Superb. Thank you.
Thanks Nico. 👍🏻
Fantastic build and awesome build video detail Charlie 👍
Thanks so much 👍🏻
Thank you for your detailed explanations! Love your videos
You are just too amazing boss...i salute🥰🥰🥰🥰
Lovely build Charlie 👌🏻
Thanks Andrew 👍🏻
