- These delicious cheese puffs are stuffed with a creamy garlicy goat cheese filling encased in light as air pâte a choux dough. My riff on classic French gougeres, is packed with flavor and perfect for parties.

Creamy goat cheese with a zing of lemon, garlic, salt and pepper for more flavor, and minced parsley (for color and a bit of extra depth) makes these addictively good; people will INHALE them!

I did something similar with what I thought was mashed potatoes. I was at a buffet and got excited when I saw " mashed potatoes". Got to the table and took a big spoonful, turns out it was horseradish. To make matters worse I did not have anything to drink at the table yet...
I did the same thing but a restaurant in front of my boss and coworkers. I felt l swallowed a big ball if fire. My eyes were watering so bad.

Whaaaat that sounds so strange to me. This is a staple at baby showers where I'm from. You can even make chicken, crab, lobster and tuna puffs.

i didnt catch the french phrase you said about having everything ready, but i do agree with it. whenever i'm cooking anything i always make sure that not only do i have all the ingredients ready, but that everything that needs to be measured is already measured.....and that i know the procedure.....and THEN i start.....

7:49 - Toum (Lebanese garlic sauce) does indeed look like really creamy mashed potatoes and yet...it's essentially pure garlic (with the addition of oil, salt. and lemon juice). I have a similar story when, at a dinner table, I took a large glass of what I thought was water and took a huge gulp. Turns out SOME people drink vodka out of cups and not shot glasses...Oh, it burned! ;)

John, to your story about eating a heaping serving of garlic paste. When I was a little girl I was visiting my family’s Rancho in Mexico and I spoke very intermediate Spanish. I was so excited when I saw a big plate of spaghetti on the table at dinner! Oh my little American heart was so over joyed. What joy was quickly deflated when I realized it wasn’t spaghetti, it was tripe!🤮🤮 Rude awakening to say the least. I cried that night because I just wanted to go home (to Baltimore) and get spanakopita and spaghetti from my favorite restaurant Ikaros lol! From what I’m told Baltimore has the best Greek food outside of Greece. If you’re ever in town you must hit Greektown!

JOHN!!!! I had a family tea party to have some fun during COVID and made the choix pastry! They were so good! We aren’t a fan of goat cheese so we filled ours with a salmon & cream cheese mixture. They were a hit! Thank you so much!
