How to Configure Layer 3 routing on a Fully Managed Switch switches

- Hello everyone, today we will introduce how to configure Layer 3 routing for AVCOMM 8000 series switches
The purpose of using Layer 3 switch is to speed up the data exchange within the large LAN, which can be routed once and forwarded many times to ensure the high-speed operation of the large LAN.
First, power on all devices, set the corresponding IP addresses, and then connect the devices to each other with network cables
Then open a browser and enter the ip address of one of the switches in the search box
Enter your user name and password in the login page and click Login
After entering the switch configuration page, set the Vlan
Click the Vlan button to add a Vlan under static Vlan
Vlan id Enter 12
Enter Vlan 12 for the name
Click add
Vlan id Enter 20
Enter Vlan 20 for the name
Click add
Add another Vlan
id enter 40
Enter Vlan 40 for the name
Click add
In static Vlan setings
Set all ports in Vlan 1 to Untag . Port 1,2 remains default.
Set port 10 in Vlan 12 to tag. Retain the default values for other ports
Set port 1 in Vlan 20 to Untag. Set port 10 to tag. Keep the default values for other ports
Set port 2 in Vlan 40 to untag. Set port 10 to tag. Keep the default values for other ports
Click submit
After successful submission
Click Vlan port settings under the Vlan setings option
Set the PV id of the port to the corresponding id
And then click Submit
After the Vlan is set
Click Routing from the left main menu
Then click the ip interface setings option
Set the ip address and mask of the transmission object device
Click Submit
After setting
Click the Route option at the top
Then click the route setings option
Enter device information in the static route entry
Enter 192.168.10.0 in destnation
Netmask Enter 24
gateway Enter 192.168.12.254
distance Enter 15
Then click add
Finally, click reload
After configuration
Enter the IP address of the other switch in the search box
Enter the user name and password and click Login
After entering the switch configuration page, set the Vlan
Click the Vlan button to add a Vlan under static Vlan
Vlan id Enter 12
Enter Vlan 12 for the name
Click add
Vlan id Enter 10
Enter Vlan 10 for the name
Click add
In static Vlan setings
Set all ports in Vlan 1 to Untag. Retain the default value of port 1
Set port 10 in Vlan 12 to tag. Retain the default values for other ports
Set port 1 in Vlan 10 to Untag. Set port 10 to tag. Keep the default values for other ports
Click submit
After successful submission
Click Vlan port settings under the Vlan setings option

And then click Submit
After the Vlan is set
Click Routing from the left main menu

Finally, click reload
In this way, the Layer 3 routing of the Layer 3 switch is set up successfully
