I find that doing my victory dance BEFORE I succeed helps make it so I get to do it after, as well. :) I was taking Anatomy & Physiology last semester, and really struggling with the nervous system. But when I walked into that final, i told myself "I'm gonna crush it" and power posed the hell out of waiting in line. I got a B pre-curve and ended up with more than 100% in the class. While I'm sure power posing can't replace studying, it certainly makes it more effective.

what's interesting is that cesar milan, the dog whisperer guy, actually has done that power pose with dogs to establish dominance. a long time ago, i (a small woman) did this pose with an uncut german shepherd dog (my brother's) and it drove the dog nuts. it was weird. it saw it as me establishing dominance or challenging it. so yeah, that stance works on people and dogs, apparently.
