I literally went thru everything you presented this past year, except owning a machine as I farm out the embroidery. I have given prototypes to friends and family to solidify feedback just like you have mentioned and I’ve had success with my designs including repeat wholesale customers but most of my designs have been to small interest groups so far. I now have a design hot off the presses that caters to a large potential customer base . Wish me luck over the coming year! Thank you for reinforcing my journey so far… great video!
Good morning. Following up with your request, I am available for interviews. I am an actor. I created my own brand called "Beard and Hat Actor". It was a way of differentiating me from the rest. I created a logo and made stickers. At every production that I go, I give out my stickers. After 7 years, people in the industry know me around here. I also made some embroidered hats and gave them out to directors and important people in the industry. I made videos specifying that you could not buy the hats anywhere, that you had to earn them, Well now has come the time to sell them. I made my first batch of hats in China and I am pretty happy with the results. Now it is time to sell. I will be starting to work on a website to do this. I am probably going to go with Shopify
Romero I have a two head machine like the one in the background and are having problems embroidering flat bill hats. The hat bill hits the bottom plate and creates tensions and I get a lot of needle breaks. are you having any issues with your two head machine? Thanks in advance
What's a good way to get started with little funds because designing is not the problem Ive been designing shirts and hats for the last 2 years but never never applied to any product I have hundred of designs but no experience applying them to the product and also funds are an issue But like the designing is no problem at all and I don't think me actually getting hands on with promoting the brand and selling will be a problem either its just the funds and the lack of experience actually getting it done? Thanks for the video it was very helpful
To get started it all depends on how much you are willing and able to invest both time and money. You can start small and outsource your designs to a shop, or you can buy an embroidery machine and take months to learn and create your products. Maybe with more info on your goals and plan I can give my 2 cents of recommendations.
@@RomeroThreads I know the fund are not impossible its more or less just the experience yes money my mom is sick with cancer and is very limited on everything she has to do so that also puts her out of work and the struggle is real but this something I need to do because one of things I love to do is design I also have a passion for technology and also learning to become a tattoo artist so my idea was own tattoo shop with merchandise in it win win win. The only problem is I live in a very remote way out in the country where none of my passions are of any use. I do have several cities around that I will end up moving too eventually but like with my mom I just don't wanna take off something bad might happen. So plan is go ahead with the merch and let them start in some. Local store around our small town until further notice but I def wanna go ahead and get it going for some extra cheddar
I actually got the idea from a man out Durham NC. I started. Noticing these around my way wearing Richardson hats that had several different things on them but the main was of course a leather patch of the state of north Carolina and lemme I ownabiur 15 of them and trust every guy in NC had one as well I know he made a killing and also he has so I start doin research on these brand hats and buying in bulk and knowing what I what everyone was paying was shocking it's a win all day for him anyways lol yea but Im def interested in goin forward and thank you once again an thanks a many for any more advice you can give me
Senior. With all due respect get to the point to show us how to do it. Please and how much it will cost to do it you keep on talking about what will happen what will happen to that stuff the bad stuff that will come with time everybody fails in their business at one point or another. Thank you

Yea, we get that with flat bills too. What we do, we have to bend the bill a bit so its not too flat pointing up. Hope that helps.
