When they get slabby and glassy it looks like kelly’s wave pool with brown water. the first week we were allowed back i headed over to mission beach (in san diego) and got a couple left hand shoulder to head high barrels. so much fun and when it was glassy and you could see the peeling barrel it was ultimate stoke. got to take out my fresh custom, too, best session of my life.
The magic 8 dawg. Pops still riiips...better than ever! "Ur waxin up ur kid dude." ..."The blocks hot!"...Pros ripping the fabric of SPACETIME! This episode has to be one of the g.o.a.t.😂😂😂 thanks man! I cant stop laughin'...im gonna wake my chick up😂
Beefy gents, back here in Oz we have a couple of legendary sport commentators called Roy & HG (a couple of good Ozzie fairdinkum names right there) whose commentating on our favourite national sport (Rugby League, not a game for the faint of heart) is legendary. You guys are the Roy & HG of surf commentating. 👍✌️
The bioluminescence was epic footage! Love that stuff. Is was poppin big time over here in Fl. My buddy got some footage on the boat of the dolphins playing in it. Played that part back on this vid like 4 times lol happy tube ridin bud 🤙🏼
Flash surfin' for real. We get the luminescence here as well both in white/blue and deep red at a certain time of year. The latter is freaky at night but bloody amazing to experience. Something called Algae Bloom they reckon.
You guys must have a different breed of red tide in Cali. In FL when we get red tide it is noxious. It burns your eyes, nose, and lungs. And some people get swollen and burned. And we usually have dead fish everywhere
Kevin M yeah i surf in newport RI and we get “red tide” but it’s different than what my cousins in florida have. idk what it’s like in cali but for us it’s like a ton of red algae and some bigger plants floating around. you get covered in it if u wipe out when it’s bad. but it doesn’t really do anything it’s just there. i’ve been wondering why they call it the same thing cuz i hear it sucks in florida but it doesn’t rly do much in Rhode Island, just annoying.
@@BEEFSTV it must be because of the colder water. We usually get red tide blooms in the summer when the water is 85 or above. Anyway killer footage as always! Keep it up BEEFS !!!
Yeah, I surfed some Atlantic red tide on Onslow Beach in the Marines. It was summer and the little bastards got all over my gear. I never did it again! (Sorry I had to mention my gear just to tell a story).
Johnny has to do the comment sometimes 😂😂 he is awesome .... wow awesome little luminescent boy ! Awesome waves ... and when you boogie on the little waves are awesome .... is the color of the water linked to the bioluminescence phenomen ?it's not the same color that usually so..🤔 🙇🙏💜💜
You won't catch me out in a red tide here in Florida. Hell, the vapors on the beach alone can send you into a itching fest. As for the bioluminescent plankton at night its pretty awesome. We have it here in Florida. And in PR we theres a couple of lagoons that have it year round. One has it green, the other one is bright blue. Pretty awesome stuff, especially at night when you hook up to a juvenile tarpon.
Yup I always watch amazed riding the heavy waves with heavy music like SoaD or Delta Parole or with relaxing music videos in background. If crazy like then always heavy tho
I was born and raised in FL...what we call red tide is k.brevis algae and is very toxic and caustic to the respiratory system of people. It also depletes the water of dissolved oxygen, killing fish. We also get the same bio-luminescent plankton they do, however almost any type of algae or plankton can give the water a red hue in the daytime, toxic or not. But the water there in Cali is way too cold to support a major k.brevis bloom...thank god
I found this article in the San Clemente Times with a Scripps expert explaining the phenomenon. They're lingulodinium polyedra, not dangerous to humans but deadly to some marine life as they reach the end of their life cycle, which I guess is happening now? I'm in Norcal and I don't recall seeing this around here. www.sanclementetimes.com/glowing-waves-could-be-crashing-to-an-end-soon/

BEEFS T.V. This means a lot. I don’t know if you know but this mad my day. You are amazing!! Tell blair hi!!!
What kind of soft top board and size should I get for a beginner?
What causes the red tide out there? Looks different than the red tides in FL where you have dead fish everywhere.
same thing in cali as in fla....very foolish for BEEFS T.V. to promote this.

Florida lol
Yeah the Everglades usually has it quite often but its usually toxic to humans when all the fish start dying in the water
Brevard county gets it bad too!

What's the story with the red tide? Isn't it super toxic and bad for the marine life? What kind of algae is it?
Pascal Parra Not sure if it’s good for marine life or what type of algae but it’s slowly going away now 🤙
