Fun fact: just a minute before this performance Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie were trying to sell a cd collection on a TV ad with "over three hundred cds and over three hundred songs all about thrillers. And who can ever forget that 1930's Michael Jackson hit..."
I was just thinking that it reminds me of the Greatest Hits game on Whose Line.😉😆
🤣
@@julieporter7805 He always showed real skill there.
You win.
"That rendition won two Tony's....and a Jeff!"
A quadruple threat if I ever saw one. He can sing, dance, act, and pull comedy out of the hat in an instant. We dont get those kinds of celebrities anymore
Literally out of a hat. That was one of the best skits.
He can also freestyle rap with the best. Do a youtube search for 5 fingers of death...
Nor do we deserve them lol - instead we’ve got Logan Paul … and it serves us right for creating Logan Paul in the first place.
*(someone who didn’t hear of Logan Paul until he F**ked up)*
And... He's now King Dice.
How fitting.
He has Real talent
Wayne Brady has been underrated for far too long . Really love watching him . Awesome job 🎼👏🏾BRAVO 👏🏾❤️👏🏾❤️
Honestly, as much as I love Michael Jackson's version, Wayne Brady really killed it with the jazz style. I bet Cab Calloway would be proud of his singing style. That man's a true entertainer!
How is Wayne Brady not more popular?! I feel he should be in a lot more stuff by now. Dude can sing, dance, and act.
He was Aaron Burr in Hamilton last year. I feel like that's a pretty big deal.
Aeta Capella it is, I just didn’t know he was in that! I’d love to see him in more though!
@@jfdd43 He is so talented, entertaining and funny! Whose Line Is It Anyway is comedy gold
He is not as well thought of in the black community. They seem to view him as an uncle tom .thier thoughts not mine.
billybonewhacker I’ve never heard anyone refer to him as an Uncle Tom. He is crazy talented and while watching this video, I was thinking “he should be as big as Jamie Foxx”, but I also don’t know of any movies he’s been in. But he has released R&B music, I’ve heard some of it on the R&B stations of Sirius XM. He was great on that episode of Chapelle Show years ago.
"Thriller is the greatest music video of all time. Absolutely nothing could improv--"

Awesome!
Wayne Brady singing Thriller in the style of Cab Calloway?
There's nothing about that that sounds less than awesome.
actor, dancer, comedian, probably SORCEROR, slight - of - hand magician, among others.
Cab Calloway and the Nicholas Brothers were huge inspirations for Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson
This is the kind of thing that reminds me that the internet isn't all bad.
Just stop clicking on bad/dumb stuff
No, it's thriller, not bad.
@Patrick Michael Considering the number of homophobic, sexist, and anti-Semitic "jokes" and comments I've seen lately even on normal music videos it's not as easy as you're making it sound. Our current political climate has all the vermin feeling safe enough to crawl out from under their rocks and getting vocal.
Yeah
@@RivkahSong Yeah, those Leftists can get really nasty.
Wayne Brady's voice is liquid gold. And watching Sarah Reich doing all Michael Jackson's trademark moves during her tap dance routine was such a delight! Kudos to PMJ for their excellent rendition of this classic.

considering mj’s moves were heavily inspired by tap dance, the return homage is so beautifully well-placed here
Both dancers excellent & was very impressed that Brady treated them as intelligent performers on their own part of the song!
"zombie flappers" is never a phrase I thought I'd say.... yet some how it makes as much or more sense than the zombies risen from graves in casual modern clothes
Watching other artists cover Michael Jackson with their own arrangements really points out how solid his songs were. The man could write a song.
It's a good song. Written by Rod Temperton.
Prince was better.
@@darthvirgin7157 Both Michael Jackson & Prince were popular music GODS ! But in this case there's room for more than 2 Asgardian - Olympian gods.

Well, yeah, but Prince composed, arranged, and performed all his work. It's just not the same. Mike is great. I love Mike. It's not an even comparison.
I knew he was a good comedian, but I didn't realize how good of a singer Wayne is. Nice job, guys~
He had a weekly variety show some years ago. He's an excellent singer.
He was the lead in Kinky Boots for years.
@@FrankNelsonNet And, of course, he did tons of songs on Whose Line. He's good.
He's always singing on Let's Make A Deal.
I saw him play Burr in "Hamilton" in Chicago ...brilliant .
There is no category for Wayne Brady’s talent. He should be a mega star.
Indeed!
The "entertainment" industry don't care about true talent. They care about other things.
Daniel If it doesn’t fit into the pre-packaged “talent category,” it gets ignored. Wayne Brady is phenomenal.
I agree. Wayne Brady is a genuinely talented performer who, in my opinion, is far more entertaining that a lot of the cookie-cutter mass-produced extruded slop that we are led to believe is entertaining us. Here's to Wayne! *raises glass
I know he's great, multi talented and I think he's a really nice person too.
I never imagined seeing zombies tap dancing to the rhythm of Thriller ... I love it.
Not just zombies: Jazzed-up Roaring’20’s zombies!! 🧟♀️ 🧟♂️
I never knew they made combat boots with taps. Learning new stuff all day!
This man needs to be more famous! He’s such a great performer. Love the tap dancers too.
ive never heard the lyrics so clearly.
They kinda suck :-)
Back when singers actually used to enunciate.
@@maxbspqr He became Michael Jackson because of this "sucking" lyrics soo..
Hana Lol no he became Michael Jackson because his family and managers wanted him to. I do not think Michael’s lyrics are bad, but this idea that he became famous for his lyrics is just false.
@@carstarsarstenstesenn I get where you're coming from. Personally I think he's well known because of many things:
He adressed real problems whether about love song or war song, God gave him the ability to connect with others through music.
People loved watching him grow from when he was just 6 singing ABC to Ben to Off the wall to Thriller to Bad to Dangerous to History to Blood on the dance floor to Invincible to This is it to Xscape...
People loved his terrific dance moves from Moonwalking to the leg kick to the crotch grab to The Anti gravity lean to the MJ spin with toe stand to the robot dance....
His music videos were not ordinary he came up with brilliant stories and people love seeing new things...
Due to all of the above, people were interested in his life so when his skin condition started getting worse, he gained even more popularity cause all the talk was about how The once black man became white...
He left people in awe when he built the famous Neverland surrounded by zoo, candy, carousels....
Whether you like him or not, people liked the humanitarian in him, no one can deny that MJ provided a lot to charities...
By now he was very well known around the world BUT sadly this fame turned on him when all people lied about him for money he wrote (Money) about it, tabloids sold his fake news because people like to hear what happened to the ABC kid. He wrote (tabloid junkie) about it , people abandoned him because the lies were louder than his testimonies he wrote (stranger in Moscow) about it , people made fun of his face that became pale due to vitiligo and skinny due to skin disorder he wrote (is it scary for you) about it, he was bashed by everybody acting like a kid he wrote (childhood) about it.
All that is the (Price of fame) he wrote about it.
So yea he deserves at least some credit for his success and fame.
Fame for Michael was a blessing and hell at the same time.
This episode of Whose Line got out of hand
Laura Hall and Linda Taylor went all out ;)
LoLolololololol
That's the weirdest hoedown I've ever heard

The best ones always do.
So that was Colin in the werewolf mask? 😉
I know that this video is old, but I can´t stop marvelling at Sarah´s choreo. She effordesly made it funny and organic, while also sinchronizing with the other dancer when needed. She even gave the entire cattalog of Michael moves and made the most amusing flapper zombie I´ve ever seen. I completely love this girl! Please, PMJ, give her my salutes from Argentina, she´s got a fan in here!
"flapper zombie" is never a phrase I thought I'd say but somehow it seems more fitting than all the current risen from their graves in modern casual clothes....
@@mwater_moon2865 I don't think the "dancers" added anything to the performance.

Let's Give the Fact that Wayne Brady Voices King Dice!!! (Cuphead Show), This Cover perfectly matches King Dice character!
But is it on the “Cuphead” soundtrack along with the “Put It On the Ritz (Cracker)” song?
The tap dancers are incredible !
Five days ago my life was, well, normal.........now I'm obsessed with 'Postmodern Jukebox'. How had I never come across this marvel. Thanks for being there.

It was because of this clip that I first heard of Postmodern Jukebox in the first place. It's amazing the way they've managed to rework pop songs into a completely different style from the original.
@@bluebear1985 I couldn't agree more. My favourite is 'Christina Gatti' "Stay with me". She really owns this song.

It was yesterday for me.
I should look to see if they have covered "Yesterday."
This sounds lovely like what would play during a creepy Betty Boop cartoon with skeletons dancing.
Some animator should accept the challenge.
Check out St James infirmary Blues

@@rataflechera they did... 100 years ago lol
He started the song with a Cab Callaway rift, from the Betty boob cartoon you are talking about. So he started with what you are referring to.
I've watched this several times, and just noticed at the 4:05 mark, Anissa Lee, the gal on the left, couldn't hold a straight face any longer after Casey the Werewolf marched off. Now THAT'S the kind of unscripted, one-take, live performance little hiccup that totally humanizes PMJ's videos. 😂
I mean, is there ANYONE who DID NOT laugh at the sight of Casey the Werewolf? 😁 Can't blame Anissa for losing it!
This is just… fantastic. Wayne Brady, you’re amazing. And the “what the hell?” at the end was perfectly hilarious.
Came for Wayne Brady but stayed for the zombie tap dancers!

I was ok with the song, until the tapdancing started. Then I was hooked :)
just saying zombie tapdancers makes me smile. ( ಠ ͜ʖರೃ)
Yeah
Wayne's "The Hell?" when the Werewolf came out at the end sounded so genuine, though...
I wonder if they did it without his knowledge. Doubt it, it was just too perfect; that left zombie girl almost couldn't contain the laughter though.
He’s an actor, he can give a pretty convincing “what the hell”
He was so serious with that, he did NOT see that coming at all 🤣 WTH ???
This is probably the reason he was cast as King Dice in The Cuphead Show.
The Cuphead Show will be releasing soon.
Yeah, most likely
Seriously, tho, Wayne Brady singing Cab Calloway style? Are y'all TRYING to give King Dice fangirls heart attacks? Or are you just really good at predicting the future? ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Minnie the Moocher is fantastic.
He always had the most beautiful voice- glad he’ll be using it on Broadway soon! Not sure how I’ve aged all the same decades while he remains drop-dead gorgeous, but there we are. ❤

This version of Michael's Thriller is really cool and unusual. Jazz rhythms are a show. Also, the tap dancers are nothing short of delightful, dancing like mad angels to the beat of jazz. The singer has a great swing and reminds me of the pastor of my church. Well done!

Wayne Brady! I didn't see the title before the song started, and my head *swivelled* when I heard his voice, then saw his face and was like whaaaat. So great to see him performing! I was only familiar with him from Whose Line, before. Stellar start. I feel like the guts and skill it takes to do that show just gives him permanent credibility, in my mind. Live improv comedy and improvisational music, at that? That should get him through the door for anything, and I'd love to see him in anything.

Best version ever, I think Michael Jackson would feel proud of this! just shocking
Numinous123 that stuff was dropped cuz it was fake. Chill Mike would love this he loves music.
@Numinous123 Just get out with your bullshit.
Setting aside the other discussions, one way or the other, Michael Jackson was famously generous when dealing with parodies and covers of his music. Some artists even received copies of his original scores at direction of Michael, once he found out they were working on some derivation of parody of his music. So I think he'd enjoy this, yes.
@Numinous123 ... You're citing the Daily Mail? Seriously? That's like citing Fox News as a source; a lot of sensational headlines, but rarely any real facts to back it up.
