Not blaming you, but just FYI, this appears to be a direct, comically blatant, knockoff of the Durston X-mid. Maybe point people to the person who came up the idea originally, not to yet another Chinese knockoff.
@caverryan maybe you didn't listen to my explanation that it looks ike the tarptent stratosphere which was made in 2014 in China. The Durston xmid is also made in China
Absolutely correct about the inner. I've stitched the inner in areas to stop the sagging. I actually use the inner in my Xmid 2 for colder weather. The fly sheet developed a leak at the apex points where the webbing goes in and through to the eyelet. I've went overboard with the seam seal so hopefully its fixed. Great video 👍
Thanks pal! I don't seem to have any leaks myself but I'm thinking of extending the cords on the inner so that they fit better to the outer peg out points cheers
Been looking at this for me and the mrs. Did you manage to get the inner sorted and the outer sitting a bit lower? And is there a vestibule on both sides?
Well I pitched it better this week but I'm still thinking about extending the paracord on the inner to suit different pitches. It's a very good tent though and yes there's two porches
Nice update! Are you interested in reviewing our 6-in-1 drinking water tester? It can test bacteria, virus, microplastic, heavy metal, and weed kiiler., etc! We're sure that you'll love it.
It certainly does look like the X-mid, Stratosphire and Lanshan! All of which were made in China. You could say all of these copied the Sierra Designs High Route though.
@@MrWildWalesthe Chinese may have manufactured those tents but they were American or Canadian designed, just because you make something for someone else doesn’t give you the right to rip off the design and make a cheaper copy. Doesn’t stop the Chinese from doing it of course, they did it with cars as well. It’s still theft of Intellectual Property
Main reason I chose this model was the colour if anything. Funny you mentioned cars. Since the first car was invented it's been copied over and over again with small changes. Same with tents they keep getting copied and improved over time
The Astagear Yun Chuan 2 is on sale at the moment and works out at about £160 - s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Dk7buB9

@@MrWildWales that's pretty nice. It's a huge plus when hiking with 2 that your partner has their own side to get out of and store gear

Sounds interesting 🤔
Cheese leek and ham pasta mixed with mash?
Oh yeah! 👌😁 Doesn't change the flavour just makes it more calorific
@MrWildWales I could try it, to make my oasta sauces more filling
1ST
😁🙌
Looks suspiciously like a knockoff copy of the Durston X-mid.... Perhaps don't feed the monster of Chinese IP theft...

It's the whole "seam seal it yourself", that would prevent me from purchasing these kind of tents. Maybe I'm just a canvas snob 🤷🖖🏕️
Seam sealing is a right pain!
