@@cuzr702 Probably for the best, not only due to cost but also due to the many potential issues the 12VHPWR connector has. It's not exactly an reliable connector and to put that into an kids PC? I wouldn't do it due to wouldn't give me peace of mind of less issues.
Reminds me of my mom when she bought me my first computer and we built an intel P1 system together which led me down a career in IT. I will be the IT Director of a large international company next year all thanks to her. I miss her :(
Very nice, i'm 41 now but i still remember it like yesterday how my parents gifted me a Commodore Amiga 500 all the way back in the 90s when i was little, and we had a MSX1 computer before that, so it was a huge jump regarding graphics and sound.
I remember sitting and playing Pong, all the local kids wanted to come see it and have a go, then we had Atari 2600, sitting by the fire and playing after school, seems so simple back then.
Thank you for posting this excellent discussion of building a new system for your son. I believe the component choices are all excellent. I'm especially glad you installed the nicer processor and additional RAM. I think that will make possible some wonderful discoveries in the future. I also really like the willingness to create a special, unique system that will appeal -- it looks so visually great to me. I want to compliment the outstanding presentation of the system itself and the videography. You really know how to present to an audience and you really know how to make the set look good. I am very much looking forward to Part 2.
Nada, I need to give the #1 Mom award to my Mom for selfish reasons but my gosh you have a very lucky family and with this gift your son is a very lucky child. I personally feel your son (and family) is graced everyday! Merry Christmas to all of you 🎅🦌🦌🦌🦌
I can't believe I've only just now found this channel. Excellent video quality, and I appreciate how you gave more pragmatic hardware recommendations when you were discussing the overkill components. Great stuff and I hope he enjoys his new rig!
This is a huge upgrade. I went with an all white high end build with the gigabyte aero oc 4090/ 7800x3d/ 64 gigs of ddr5 in the white phanteks nv7. The pc is a beast and I keep it clean.
Mums are the best. My mum helped me get my first PC when I was about 13/14, I couldn’t afford it (obvs) and she got a second job to help me pay for it. I will never forget that. It was a slot A Athlon 700mhz, I don’t quite recall the rest of the specs but it served me well back in those heady days at the turn of the new millennium.
Word and PowerPoint have become quite the resource sinks these days - even worse if you use a special mode, like bold or underlined text, and a blinking cursor 😁 But as we all know, RGB lighting alone already increases the performance by at least 30%, depending on how annoying it has been configured to be 😋
Are you looking to adopt a 30yearold child at heart? 🤣 Kidding aside… you really are the coolest mum! Have a lovely holiday season to you and your fam!
Thank you for sharing Nada and think it's safe to say your son will love his gift🙂 Merry Christmas to you and your family and the all the best for the New Year...
The best mom is always the mom who is there for her children, feeds them, nurtures them, makes them feel safe, motivates them to excel in their hobbies and gives them as much of her time as she can. Material things arent that important, merely a nice spice so to speak. Happy Yule and be safe.
That's very kind of you for your son 🥹 He really deserves a great gift since he's always caring and never asked for anything 🥹, he's gonna be a great man for sure 🥰. I wish you and your whole family a merry Christmas and a Happy new year 🎉😊
Congrats on the clean build! The only thing I would also double check before he starts gaming is to make sure that Hardware Accelerated Graphics Scheduling is not enabled in Windows Display setting. I have had issues with HAGS on my RX 7900XTX Nitro+. When I leave it disabled, it works far better.
S Tier mum! Could you adopt me as well? LOL Nothing more important for a parent than feeling they are raising a good person. best of wishes to you and your family!
im doing my All in one desk (desk + case integrated) build today :) transferring my current 4090 + 7800x3d build to the desk. using 8 x Lian Li UNI Fan SL120 v2 (3 front, 3 AIO, 1 exhaust, 1 bottom) lets see!
A colleague of mine also had a similar build and he also just upgraded. His 2080 didn’t helt well in the new games he played so he upgraded to a 4070. That shows how quickly good videocards become outdated so soon. In Forza his game and stream stuttered a lot.
I wonder when budget brands will start using the single cable ( or 2 ) for fans? Like I wonder if Montech would ever come out with anything like that, I actually switched to their fans as my king 95 pro came with a few and it was much cheaper to just grab 3 of those instead of an extra 5 LLs. I swapped from a 280x purely because any of the newer high end cards pretty much will not fit unless I pay a lot more ( stuff like pro series from ASUS ) or go FE. I know the LLs are better overall but the temps have never been an issue even in that hotboxed 280x. 3080 and 5800x3D never got close to thermal throttling ever nvm the card never going above 67c and the CPU in the hottest of days was like 85c, being in the UK I am 99.99% of time never at the 85c mark, more like 60s.
Holy crap, coolest Mum ever!
He didn’t even get the 4090! Call child services!
@@cuzr702 child services for a 4090? nahhhh

I remember going from monochrome green to CGA and then to SVGA with 64,000 colors or something.

It's the one close I tried to find with first ever 64/128MB GPU
it's always funny to see parents being happy about the gifts they totally didn't want themselves :D :D
What a nice mom, thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas to you and yours. 👍🏻🎄🎅🏻❄😊
Your son sure is blessed to have you as his mom. 👍 He better be more nice to you.

Amazing build.
The front grill and the tinted side glass looks really nice dampening the RGB just a little.

Please don't use trucking alcotester locking you out of your swipe pin protected phone.
Does the software allow the user to set individual fan curves for each of the 7 fans?
Luka Bazooka great handle :D Awesome stuff, best mom :D
Dang super lucky kid!
When I was young my parents wouldn't even get me a $4 pack of pokemon card let alone a gaming pc
And me, as a 13 years old kid being asking for an AMD Athlon 64 and 6600GT and still won't getting it...
Best mom indeed!

Maximum Christmas treat 😁He must like it !
Why Aorus and not MSI or Asus MOBO?
