Glad you guys are liking the TL LCD fans so far! We've already fixed the logo orientation issue via FW update and will be fixing other minor bugs shortly!
Notwithstanding the hardwired cables in the hub, I'm okay with the pricing. These fans are made for a certain tier of buyer. Just like a Murciélago is made for a certain tier of customer. If one is complaining about the price, one probably couldn't afford it in the first place. Also, I'd definitely be using the screens as system monitors. Now for a few 'like-to-haves'. 1. Removal of the silkscreened company logo on the hub. It's not needed because the moment one sees the product, one knows it's Lian-Li on looks alone. 2. Have the option to have live video feed capture to the screens. Nice to have for security cam monitoring, video podcasts, etc. 3. Directional fan control through either software or a physical switch. No matter what orientation I have the fans, I could control if the fans or in-/outtake. 4. A more elegant mounting solution for the the hub. It could be secured by the hard drive brackets, magnets, or both. Conclusion: I think Lian-Li has done a bang up job on these fans with only a few missteps. I'd definitely have these in my case.
I have so many ideas for a build using those fans. IMO they're great for a different approach to having a sensor bar, with the right case and set up you could have a very interesting set up.
These are really cool imo, and if those prices hold true it's really a decent price for an enthusiast fan. I'd like to see Lian-Li work a little harder to improve interconnect with their previous gen fans, but if you're going to embrace RGB this is a great way to go about it.
@@ericspecullaas2841that's actually a very good point. There was a time, not too far back, when lighta/Led fans emitted so much heat that it was pointless to have Led fans in chassis with the side panels on. It was nuts. And this was post DDR2 (iirc) , right around when DDR4 was hot sht.
@@Ilikedagames-rf2fxMolex era... Fkn dawg poo. Also, because of Molex,, made for far less than pretty cable management waay back in the damn. And chassis back then., Holy fudge.
This is a cool concept, especially for someone like myself who likes the screens to display data. I agree though I’m not the biggest fan of the infinity mirrors on the side, I would like to see them come out with an “SL” style. Also like someone else mentioned, it would only be ideal for fans that you can see clearly - there’s always the desire for uniformity but having fans with screens that are not even visible to you would be a bit of a waste of money. Still, I’m glad these are out and am excited to see what they come out with in the inevitable V2
What else do you want Lian Li to do with the sides of the fan? An LED matrix display? That'd be nice for some top-mounted fans to show a graph or write silly messages on, but I wouldn't imagine they could combine this with LED fans in a way which is practical except for people who do the standing desk thing every so often.
I agree, this is pretty much useless, unless on the back panel vent or on the rear exhaust. most cases have a mesh front end that will distort the view. Do you have to buy double of these for push pull rad cooling? are any of the earlier models the same flow spec? they need a non lcd version too. something you could mix and match. 3 fans one could have the lcd and still work with a non lcd version for example. They look well made , and nice to look at even with the lcd off. I pretty much only use lian-li fans because they last.
@@xenodraken377 This was made to go with their O11 Dynamic, _guaranteed._ The game plan for these is to have the fans at the side intake. _That's it._ And maybe one in the rear panel. But _that's it_ for practical application.
This is pretty neat, I'd definitely wait until they got the bugs worked out, but after that I might be interested in getting a set for my next build. Having 3 easy to see sensors, and not having to pull up Task Master or another application to see your temps is pretty neat.
@@FieryMeltman I know, but as you saw in the review, there are still some bugs with colors and the palette is pretty small for now. But it's most likely just a matter of time.
I really love seeing Lian Li continue to innovate with their products. Now how about a QI charger in one of the 011 case variants like Be Quiet has done with the Dark Base Pro 901? I will almost certainly be picking up a 3 pack of these, though to go into my computer. Love the gages on the fan hubs idea.
@@gazpitchy It's definitely more innovation that whatever everyone else is doing. Lian Li now has the right momentum, so I'm sure we'll see other things soon :)
The only real use I can see is if the builder need/desires display screen but is also very limited on presentation space. One for CPU temp, one for GPU temp and any other dans being just standard.
A screen that does absolutely nothing but makes the product cost a lot more. Just leave the screens off. Pass on all the worthless RGB that does absolutely nothing and now the screens. It's honestly insane that this has become normal. Smh
TBF the reverse blades are sometime way less efficient, (which is generally great because modern cases have way more intake fans than exhuast and balance is key) but back then until we started putting all kinds of crazy effects on them, a plastic square looked like a plastic square from both sides. It didn't make much sense to have a reverse fan for such minor improvements whereas here the only reason and LCD fan can exist is probably because of reverse fans.
@@xXEPIKgamerXx To also be fair, "reverse" in this case is just flipping the cosmetics...I wish you could do this more often because some cases you have to have a 360 rad, and sometimes that can only go on the front panel... (wish I had gone 5800 x3d over intel 13th gen because of this, 13700k is a thirsty b****)
I thought about following your build guide to put in a little screen on my PC, which also requires that I purchase Aida64. This is a much easier solution, and gives me pretty much exactly what I would have used that screen for.
I could imagine putting only one or two of these in a system then using standard Unifans for the rest because why the hell would you ever fill a system with these. I think my next system might have a pair of these for temp readouts.
Honestly $50 a fan for that seems super reasonable. And since so many cases have the 2 or 3 fan combo down the side of the case where the fan hub is facing you, I can see those sensors being super useful. So I gotta say for these, I am for one.......a fan
I was thinking the same its only an extra $20 over the regular lian li fans. This is such a cool idea and id love to cop one and put it in the back exhaust on my y60.
these are pretty cool IMO, the sensors make sense to if you dont want to add a separate sensor panel. I saw it on Lian Li's IG account, they had a continuous video of Ryu doing his hadouken going through all the screens (wondering how they synced that). thanks for another great video, honestly, i'd buy this and mount it vertically on the back of the NV9
My question is - could you chain two normal infinity fans and one LCD fan together and have the same loop effect? Cause I could see that as somewhat mitigation of the price. Also, I hope more and more companies will start doing reverse blades.
SL Fans and TL fans cannot use the same connectors or hubs, and the TL LCD fans cannot be daisy chained with the Performance TLs because of how much more power and date they need, so for now LCDs can only be chained with themselves and cant really mix with V1 INFs without having a lot of separate controllers and cables.
I think these are awesome. Sensor info is what got me sold on them. Priced accordingly too considering what you're getting. I would love to see a Lian Li Vision with these bad boys.
@@malvinchau2056 makes them cheaper then then corsairnlink fans that are 160 for a set of three have rgb coil wine when the rgb fully on and requirenyou to only use other cosair products becuase therenrgb software dosnt play nice ifnyou have other control softwarenactive on your pc
$40 more than the normal 3 fan kit. Not too bad considering. However the world of $50 per fan will be normal before we know it....for multiple reasons.
I think it's something very good, I really wanted an LCD screen to see the CPU temperature. The simplest option until now was to buy an aio, which costs at least $200. It's expensive considering the fact that most of them already have one, if what I'm saying makes sense. So a screen for $45 or something like that is welcome. It's great that they also have a version with normal blades.
Corsair nexus. Idk if they are still on sale but it's a really nice touch panel that let's u see all ur temps plus u can do a ton of other stuff with it. I paid $50 for mine but msrp is like $100 but again it may still be on sale.
I love my Lian Li SL 120 INF fans and im glad the kid at microcenter steered me in this direction over corsair fans that I was deadset on. This was a couple years ago. They are amazing. I dont know if Id have a need for LCD screens though but they look cool and im sure theyre of good quality!
Its 100% a super over priced gimmicky thing but its awesome! I love the flashy bells and whistles because you can truly customize your build to reflect your tastes. Lian Li continues to show innovation and I suspect all their product lines will improve year over year. For the first gen i think they hit a home run here. Screens and panels are going to trend for a long time as we hunger for information. You had me belly laughing with the crew vids on the screens! Great video!
Besides, they should 100% release another pair of models that's exactly the same except with a normal hub for maybe $10 less a fan. In my O11D, for example, I don't really care enough to have a screen on my bottom intake/top exhaust, but the side intake having screens on the hubs make for a super cool sensor panel
@@MaavBR They have... The TL fans are these but without the LCD, and they actually have better performance too (almost P28 levels if their website is to be believed). They've also made them in 120mm and 140mm and both sizes have reverse flow options... they've gone all in on these (the TL LCD's iirc have less performance, alot less... might be a voltage and current issue due to having the screens on them).
It would be if you actually got any help from their support with the bugs in the software. I get an error messeage every time i turn the system on, and the fans barely spin until i cklick ok. If it doesn't show and i forget it, my system melts... It needs a restart to show up many times. Terrible.
That is sweet looking!! Lian Li definitely makes the best looking fans on the market right now imo. I recently built arguably the best looking PC I've ever put together, filled to the brim with SL-Infinity 120 fans. Gonna have to sell it off and re-build after a move across the pond later this year, I might just pick some of these up for the updated build. Can't wait to put some animated logos in there! Super cool way to display temps and component usage too.
While this is a sick idea, the only fan you really will see is the single exhaust fan. Maybe this would be cool in a lian li case with the fans next to the motherboard, but what I think the coolest item to have this set up is the GPU fans. Imagine having this with a vertically mounted GPU. Would absolutely make the set up look super sick and you can clearly see it as its the closest item to the tempered glass.
That was my thought exactly. While watching this video I kept looking at my rig that has a vertical 3080 and thought how cool it would be with screens on my gpu fan hubs.
Agreed, Looking at my case also, "Lian LI Lancool 2 Mesh", the exhaust fan is the only one you would see. I also think, fans is now getting to the point were the price is getting to high. A fan is there for one job, to move air not to watch repeats of friends.
while i agree with you for most cases, people have to remember not every product is intended for every consumer. if you only have an exhaust fan facing you, you are not their target. also another thing to keep in mind is that they made the fans next to the mobo popular with their O11 case and now almost every new case is like that.
The Rear Exhuast, the Outer CPU heatsink fan, and the side intake fans are all viable positions for these, but I would not use these for top or bottoms when preferably a TL-INF V2(V1?) would be much better. If youre more into the LCD than the side infinities, the NV 9 can angle the fans towards you which might make the bottom intakes better for these.
I think you said it best at 1:50... Those look "fan"-tastic. (surprised we didn't get a chuckle from Phil in the background for that) I'm a fan of having lots of screens, but I also prefer stealth aesthetics over fancy RGB.
Most of the reverse blades ive seen so far are prtty much all 120 atleast any with rgb not many good options in the 140s...unless u guys can point me in the right direction
@@denzel8218gaming thermaltake started the reverse fan trend last year, soon after Corsair followed i think, just google reverse fan 120 or 140 and you'll find many fans worth checking out.
Its not just that they are reverse blade, it also that their Uni-lock, come in multiple sizes, ergonomic, amazing visually, easy to use, and the specs compete 1:1 if not out perform cheap basic fans in some areas. Even then if you want to have your cake and eat it too, the Performance TLs that also just released have far better Airflow/pressure, but still have all the bells and whistles other than having a basic and uninteresting fanhub.
They’re insane!! I have the first SL fans and I like them. Would be nice to see the SL fans with the screen. Would be a nice upgrade. And considering what you get, the price isn’t bad. Have to see what they charge up here in Canada.
The outro was awesome! I have really liked my Lian Li fans. I've only had one out of 9, over the past 3 or 4 years, that started making a squealing sound and they replaced it without question. If I were building a new system these would definitely be one of my options.
One style of fan I would love to see incorporated into the case fan world is the Dyson blade-less fans. That would really change the market due to them not needing to be square. Also they have a very minimalistic look and would look super cool with a thin LED ring around the rim of the surround 🙂
Sadly those Dyson fans have a regular fan in the base: they just have no blades at the top where the air comes out and the ring of air pulls additional air along with it. This is why they are called air multipliers, since a lower fan speed can pull more air through, thus multiplying the efficiency. In a PC case, you would still need a bladed fan somewhere and the meshes and dust filters would completely stop the air multipier effect from working 😕
I honestly really love this idea. Why have one singular sensor panel when you can have several tiny sensor panels that require no additional wiring. The price is honestly not that bad when you consider that the Corsair connect fans 3 pack cost the exact same amount and have 0 screens. Also Jay I really hope you have a video coming covering the new purpose built sensor panel that Phanteks just announced! I think it's a bit overpriced for what it is but still wanna see it in action regardless.
Recently bought the evo and kitted it out with infinity fans but went the reverse blade route so the infinity mirror is showing on each fan. Looks fantastic. Not sure id need 10 fans with screens but I'd like 3 at the back next to the motherboard for temps
I'll keep these in mind- got the NZXT H6 Flow, so could get 2 of the 140mm for the bottom intakes. And to keep with the more subtle theme (black case, and all ARGB is set to white) I'd probably just populate the screens with CPU and GPU temps. :3c
This fans will not fit in the bottom tray of a H6 flow. The frame of the fans are too beefy. And there is the inf mirror and the plug on the side. Same goes for the side tray for that matter.
I have the NZXT H9. These would be perfect replacement for the side intake fans that came with the case. I have be quiet light wings, bottom intake, and top exhaust. If needed I could turn the argb off (I assume I could) if it's too much for the simple esthetics that I enjoy. Actually those lcd's with the blacked out argb would look really good in in my black H9, with the thin rear argb of the lightwings with a simple warm white.
I used the previous version of the fans and I loved them. They are ez to install with the interlocking mechanism. Only negative is the one connector is raised and, in some cases, do not fit because the space is too tight. Other than that, these fans are fantastic,
I was skeptical of Lian Li when I thought he was Chinese, but when I learned he is Taiwanese, I appreciated his new adaptive designs better. He does have some good ideas for design.
I have an even better idea. Why don't they make a fan where you will be able to select which way the fan spins and choose intake or exhaust without having to take the fan out and turn it around. Imagine the potential on scenarios where you want to experiment what is better exhaust or suction from specific vents on the case. Life saver.
Use to be $30 was expensive for a premium fan 2-pack and cases had five (3 in the case and 2-3 for the aio). Then they made cases have 9-15 fan slots and charge $150 for 3 fans costing $500+ to fill out your case. Add screens to the fans means you can charge more… Milking pc enthusiasts for their 401ks.
After trying the Infinity model, I started disliking Lian Li's fans a lot. Sure, they look really good but you absolutely have to use their controller, I already have enough controllers from EK for the custom loop. And then you also have to run their software, which uses way too much resources even on a high end rig. But thanks for showing the new stuff
There's adapters out there for the Infinity fans that you can hook on normal ARGB controller and PWM connectors and then control them with any software like SignalRGB 👍
This is a really cool idea. You would not plaster your whole case with those, but if you have a case with fans that face you it it a really neat solution to implement a "sensor panel" into the build without having to do any additional wiring or modding.
46$ per fan isn't too bad compared to corsairs... I think that Lian Li charging this at 46 isn't such a terrible thing. It gives the opportunity for more cool ideas on builds.
@@DESS71AN i don't see why would anyone compare those? lian li has screens, while QX are a bit cheaper... if you don't need such stuff (pretty much no one does), then you should rather invest into different and cheaper fans, such as LL if you want rgb
Thanks for this Jay this is awesome! Building a new system shortly with EKWB custom cooling and been looking for a LCD CPU/GPU temperature display like the AIO Water Coolers have, this will do the job brilliantly!
The price is less than I expected, Lian Li is always pushing the fan aesthetic. I'm a function over form so these actually add function and form and not just lights. It makes them worth it (again, to me and my building style).
I really love these fans! I recently stepped away from using AIOs so I lost my sensor panel that comes along with the AIO pump. with this, I can still have sensor panels!
As someone with a O11D PC full of lian li fans I see a few problems with these. I think the most obvious is the requirement of a separate hub/software for these which a realistically not useful in most orientations. Top and bottom will never really get seen leaving only the vertical side mounting or rear exhaust. I cant imagine wanting to populate 12+ fans at this price point with so few getting the LCD benefit. Next would be the performance numbers: while they look great I would hope the numbers also improve upon their previous fans. Finally, the software needs work as pointed out in this video. I don't know if the fans save any of the image files once L-connect 3 is turned off. I often close the program after startup and the effects remain on the AL fans. Love to see a follow up video @JayzTwoCents
I love the idea, especially if i can put more hardware info on them. My only problem is that I use the Lian Li 216 right now and the only visible fan screen would be the rear, but it would have to be flipped and be intake. That hub is also blocked by my aio tubes from my viewing angle. Would be great in an O11 style case probably.
thank god, this would work out great if i had one as exhaust that I can lay eyes on at all times with my PC on the desk (its currently under my desk on a cart)@@warrenpoultney8215
I recently bought a combo deal at Newegg of a 3-pack Lian Li uni fan al120 v2 with another single al120v2. For some reason it was slightly cheaper to buy 4 fans than to buy 3. Weird sale logic aside, I'm very pleased with the fans both in performance and just being pretty. They really are nice to look at
This is real innovation and experimentation , cool they provide this new type of connecting fans and variants. Yes it is a niche product and few people will actually use them but still we have the option . I would actually want to see 2 non LCD fans and a LCD one connected . You can keep the cost lower and still have a basic sensor panel on the fans
My husband and I both have O11 Evo builds, mine is white and his is black. I’m 100% gonna surprise him with a 3 pack of these and some infinity fans. He’s got the SLs right now and I’ve been wanting to get him an upgrade. I think 3 of the reverse ones vertical in the middle, upright slots showing the sensors would be great.
I agree I would love to see a version of these with the diffused lighting on the sides like the og uni fans did. I really want some, but I must save first, who knows by the time I saved up they might've released a version with the diffused lighting. It would be great to see all the loads and temps without pulling up the software. I have thought about a small panel inside the case, but I would have nowhere to put it unless I swapped to another case. This would be a great solution.
look at the build Stuart from GGF Events just did using these fans as part of his review for the O11 Evo RGB case. I don't know whether he used some different software customise the colours for the sensors but he made them look sick and they matched both the colour of the coolant and the colour of the lighting on the fans. you should check it out as he's now living in your manor after moving from Australia
Fans looks great. However I think they should take the approach Corsair is with selling different lengths and angles for their cables. Also, their hub is a lot smaller/better even though they don’t take into account the LCD screen.. I prefer the iCUE link, but this is neat as well
Thats great and super neat and all, but when will you be able to utilise this properly? Rear exhaust? If I could find a place I could see from chair then would be some data I guess - until I am bored and put a random GIF or something
Looking at my case as it sits on my desk to my right at an angle with the front closet to me and the rear going away from me, I'm trying to picture how I would even put those screens to use without having to lean way forward to look in. As my tower sits now even the screens would be a waste. I like that you can display temps and other info. Maybe if my case had a glass front and the screens faced the front.
These would look awesome for my front 3 rad fans in my Corsair 4000X, sort of behind the tinted glass. Would have them as sensors for sure, easy to see information!
I will definitely get a triple 120 pack of these fans for the side intake on the O11 Dynamic EVO. Will set top fan as CPU temp or load, middle as a custom image, and bottom as GPU temp. Will come in handy and look a lot better than the standard cage on the back of most fans.
I think this is a great idea. Having screens to display different info is very useful. Not to mention that you have tons of options when you get bored with your current display. And the lighting effects are just pretty. I'd say it's worth the price.
I have never really been a fan of miniature screens inside my case but where I am thinking about doing a 011 style build this sort of makes sense for me so I might pull the trigger and do it
If your case supports mounting them in a way where you can see the screens, it is a great idea. If not, then not really. I guess you could install them as front intake and somewhat see the screens? Anyway good to see Lian-li coming up with new stuff.
That's cool. I would definitely use them just to have as sensor panels but I would want the fan blades to light up like the Al version. Not a big fan of the infinity mirror.
I can’t wait to get one. I just recently finished a build using a Thermaltake Core P3 Snow edition, with an ASRock Sonic mb, to create an amazing Sonic theme. I used the Lian Li infinity 360 white cooler, with the centers making a decent representation of the rings. This new fan will bring a whole new dimension to the ring representation, allowing me to create a gig of the rings actually spinning 😮 I can’t wait.
I can see it coming in handy for those AIOs that don’t have a temp sensor screen and you like to see temps in your machine rather than through software.
I'm excited! Great for monitoring at a glance. Pricing is GREAT, all things considered. Will def incorporate into my next build-Can't wait for Ryzen 8000 series now!
I ... may just get some of these for my next build. One of them. (Eh, next build's in a Fractal North with the mesh side, so probalby a different build.) RGB finally "sold" itself to me with being able to change with temperature as a sort of built in monitor (and dynamically changing on the KB for different games and programs.) This... I could use. Depending on the case. Even just one as an exhaust in the back (which I always see) with a temperature or cycling temperature/load would be nice.
VERY nice! I like the sensor reading displays especially. Wonder if there are also other design styles of the fans, other than the hexagon RGB. Maybe just a simple looking fan with such displays, i'd instantly buy those as case fans.
Love them. Reverse 140’s for my intakes on the back side of my Evo XL please! I’ll use the sensor feature in them for cpu and gpu temps! But the bad part is I just bought 6 Lian Li uni sl-inf 140’s….now I have to buy these too. Lian Li is getting lots of my cash 💰
Oh these would be perfect for my case! I would use 4 of these if the fan speeds are decent. 1 rear, 3 bottom. Perhaps it would be nice to have something similar in the top as well, but then you don't see the screen which is a problem.
I was waiting to see what these fans would be like at launch and whether anyone would review them properly and give us some idea of the performance relative to other fans (maybe the SL120's and infins and P28's?). I like the styling of these and if what I saw on their site is true the TL stock fans are almost as good as P28's on the performance front but the LCD versions aren't as punchy (probably due to having the LCD and needing to power those plus the fan).
I think the price is great if you were wanting to set up a sensor panel. To get what you need PLUS LED fans and Lian Li quality. It packages it into one easy to use product. On top of that, the cable management is better than including a stand alone sensor panel.
i think the best use for these fans would be in a chassis with the fans beside the motherboard (a la 011 Dynamic). I mean if you think about all the normal fan locations, if it's in the front, generally there is a mesh or some sort of filter which blocks (somehow) the display. If it's on top, you generally wouldn't see the screen. Same thing if its on the bottom/floor of the case. The rear/back of the case generally holds only one fan (max of 2) which may be the 2nd best option.
Not a fan of RGB in general (they do make some ambience if done with taste), but having them as a "sensor hub" readily available to my eyes would be nice. Never gonna pay that price though!
I did a Thermaltake build with full SWAFAN's and a Thermaltake AIO and I love the sensor on the front of the AIO and I also love the fans with the extra reverse blades so when I did a second build I used the same SWAFAN's but instead of an AIO I did a custom water loop with hardlines but I really miss having the sensor panel to keep an eye on the CPU and GPU temps so I ordered these Lian Li fans to put in my build, I couldnt find a sensor panel that would look good in my case and was easy to mount and setup so I opted for these fans. I ordered them through Amazon Prime but I live in the Philippines so it takes about two weeks to gets my orders here. I really miss the next day delivery that I could get when I was still in the US.
Bought a 3 pack of 120mm for my Hyte y70 case. Going to be my 3 intakes in the back im a sucker for new tech. I do think putting 10 in a pc case is overkill but 3 that you can see when you look over quick at your case will give it the extra wow factor. Great video as always 🫡🫡
Do you use microfiber cloths? You could use them dry or damp, & I usually let them airdry. Also, one side is smooth & the other side is rough (in a scratch-safe way). I'd play with those settings & different colors & color modes. It'd cool if there was a mode for sound, for colors to react based on the sound, whether sound fx or music, like when you're playing a game or playing &/or making a song.
Great innvoation but would want to know if I can use with Infinity fans too as I'd probably just run one of these in the rear of my Dynamic for the sensor panel given how expensive they are. Thats the only space that would really be visible with my build.
I'm still sceptical if lcd screen on fans are really worth it, considering the power draw. But the fact that you can display useful information seems pretty cool. I imagine these fans with reversed blades would look pretty sick at the bottom of Phanteks NV7/NV9 to display temps and stuff.
That is really cool! I just wished they'd go open source on the software or on the control for the future ( because I'd love to use something like this, years down the line ) !
With the fan having a screen, it would likely require a wider stator shaft for the wiring to the screen. I would be curious on the impact that would have on bearings
The sensor data on the LCD is great. I believe GPU hotspot temp was missing from the options (easy to add later though). The price is outside of my acceptable range, though not terrible for what you get. I kinda wish they were more geared toward interpretability and open standards.
I think this has amazing aesthetic potential for them builds. I'm planning a new theme build that these would go great in. If I could find the 140s anywhere...
Glad you guys are liking the TL LCD fans so far! We've already fixed the logo orientation issue via FW update and will be fixing other minor bugs shortly!
Great looking fans. Well done, once again.
Please keep being this interactive.
The next evolution of this would be to add LEDs inside the fan blades themselves to turn the whole fan in a "screen" of sorts.
Is the tl120 compatible with the sl120s?
Will there be a version of the TL that uses the Infinity mirror in the center/motor from the SL series in the future?
Notwithstanding the hardwired cables in the hub, I'm okay with the pricing. These fans are made for a certain tier of buyer. Just like a Murciélago is made for a certain tier of customer. If one is complaining about the price, one probably couldn't afford it in the first place. Also, I'd definitely be using the screens as system monitors. Now for a few 'like-to-haves'.
1. Removal of the silkscreened company logo on the hub. It's not needed because the moment one sees the product, one knows it's Lian-Li on looks alone.

3. Directional fan control through either software or a physical switch. No matter what orientation I have the fans, I could control if the fans or in-/outtake.
4. A more elegant mounting solution for the the hub. It could be secured by the hard drive brackets, magnets, or both.

Having 3 easy to see sensors, and not having to pull up Task Master or another application to see your temps is pretty neat.
if you game you have msi afterburner or aomething similar its useless just a gimmick to sell to stupid people just like rgb
You can already do that with software. You can have your CPU and GPU usage and temps display on your taskbar.

Glad to see more manufacturers doing reverse blade fans... No clue why it took them so long!
Omg. I know, right! I thought it was a no brainet once fans started becoming a bling thing. Haha
Not sure who started it, but the first one I saw was Cooler Master's reverse SickleFlow fan back in January 2021
@@xXEPIKgamerXx Why would they be less efficient? It's just reversed to place it in the right orientation.
Great joke
@user-cd7gb1lc3j what are you a lian li hater?
Jesus Christ imagine being so spoiled you think $50 is fine
these are pretty cool IMO, the sensors make sense to if you dont want to add a separate sensor panel.
No. No other fans can be connected to the LCD fans. Not even the new non-LCD TL version.
You should be able to, I don't see why not, the software can ID each type and sync them.
@@YouSoundButtHurt Why should you? The signal going through the connectors is different. Lian Li have explicitly said this.
No not daisy chain and even not on same hub

they are available in 120mm and 140mm, nice! I think companies should do more 140mm fans now for cases and radiators.
God, trying to find 140 cases is a nightmare. But then you wouldn't be buying as many fans (considering 140 tends to be better per dollar)
I would love to have this version of the fans minus the LCD screens. The RGB on these and the fan's new design are just so modern and sleek looking!

They've also made them in 120mm and 140mm and both sizes have reverse flow options... they've gone all in on these (the TL LCD's iirc have less performance, alot less... might be a voltage and current issue due to having the screens on them).

as a lian li user i can appreciate their effort. everyone seems to hate their L connect 3 software though. personaly i find it to be great.
I'm sure they had the 011 Dynamic in mind when they designed these fans. You'd have 3 fans facing you on the front of the case.
while i agree with you for most cases, people have to remember not every product is intended for every consumer. if you only have an exhaust fan facing you, you are not their target. also another thing to keep in mind is that they made the fans next to the mobo popular with their O11 case and now almost every new case is like that.
The best part of these is the reverse blades! I’ve been dying for this for years now. That alone, is enough to make me buy them.
enough companies are making reverse fans for at least a year now. maybe you haven't discovered them.
You can get reverse blades for cheap, I can't find a way to justify buying overpriced case fans when they run at low RPM anyway.
Good on Lian Li for continuously innovating and doing things differently!
I sure gonna get them in the 140mm for my next Build in the EVO XL !
I wonder how the performance is. It looks like the fan blades themselves are much smaller due to the screen. Likely poor airflow
I personally really like these fans, but I also find it funny that companies are just finding an excuse to slap a screen on everything
@@Audiosan79good to know
I have the NZXT H9.
He does have some good ideas for design.
huuuuuuuh
I have an even better idea. Why don't they make a fan where you will be able to select which way the fan spins and choose intake or exhaust without having to take the fan out and turn it around. Imagine the potential on scenarios where you want to experiment what is better exhaust or suction from specific vents on the case. Life saver.
Did we need screens on a fan? Lol

We didn't need RGB either so what 😂
Use to be $30 was expensive for a premium fan 2-pack and cases had five (3 in the case and 2-3 for the aio). Then they made cases have 9-15 fan slots and charge $150 for 3 fans costing $500+ to fill out your case. Add screens to the fans means you can charge more… Milking pc enthusiasts for their 401ks.
No. Want? Absolutely
TikTok auto scroller would be the way to go 😂😅
After trying the Infinity model, I started disliking Lian Li's fans a lot.

I really love these fans! I recently stepped away from using AIOs so I lost my sensor panel that comes along with the AIO pump. with this, I can still have sensor panels!
Can they run DOOM though?
Asking the real questions!
Would be great in an O11 style case probably.
yeah i have the same case and made this same comment. fans don't seem practical for my case type.

Love the fact that you can get some useful info in a neat unuque way. I plan to grab a set for my new tower for Christmas
I prefer the iCUE link, but this is neat as well
Jay can u guys show us how to do RGB on our Founders Edition cards ?… 19:02

Super flower megacool fans should be next. 12pole motor & novel anti vibration.
Around $50 per fan is very reasonable. If I had any kind of PC that was designed to be seen, I'd buy some of these.
No, $50 for a case fan is solidly in "not reasonable" territory.
2:46 what's with the WE CAME OUT with and alot of wees could be wrong and don't care if your a part of ideas just noticed love the content
I love Lian Li products. Question, can you manually swap the fan blade orientation, or they have two different fans you'll need to buy?
I just bought the GA ll LCD AIO 360, it's awesome. Lian Li is smashing
i think the best use for these fans would be in a chassis with the fans beside the motherboard (a la 011 Dynamic).

Don't forget the "more screens means more waifus" crowd
the possibilities for the software are huge , i would love to see a sequence on all screen maybe a Jay searching for his sanity through the case ^^
If these get some support for more customizable screens/adding some logic. They could be great as a stylish option for a rack mounted homelab/server.
Between this and the NZXT cooler I'm boutta fill my whole tower with twerking gifs.
Very cool concept, being able to put temperature/load graph while not taking more space is nice.
