I love your ideas for the sand racing mowers! you have done of the coolest ideas! Most people would look at those mowers that you are planning to use and just scrap them, but you give them life after death!
I like that body style a lot myself. a few years ago I guy gave me one that needed to be rewired and just the carb cleaned, it mowed grass just fine. Me and my buddy painted in flat black with florescent neon green rims and deck, it looked sweet!!
Hopefully I can get started on those soon. I've already been fighting that little red MTD, getting a tire on the rim that is stuck to the axle. You have no idea how hard that is to do with it still one the mower, I ended up flipping it on to its side to mount it. Sweatin like crazy the whole time too!!
nice love the idea of a sand racer that would be awesome hey I have the part for ya for rustiside and the spring for it sitting on my dest next to a box ready to be sent
Send that rain north! We could really use some up here in Iowa! The sand rail tractors are a kickass idea, some beefy ag tires or atv paddle tires and a really radical pulley swap like a 11" front and 2 1/2 rear would be beastly! Good luck!
Thanks a lot. I should be able to make some headway on the sand racers this winter, I have the engines for them, I just need to swap around a few things and get them going. It'll be an easy build I hope.
Well thanks, I appreciate that. I do take in some busted junk mowers, but they are just too cool to toss away. Take Rusticide for example, it was abandoned behind a barn, way out in the country for at least 10 or more years with a tree growing through the deck, ants in the seat and in the muffler, carb full of water, and the body completely covered in rust. Look at what its become now! I try to breath new life in all my tractors... its the right thing to do.
Everyone probably could use the rain!! Jeez.. I don't want to go 60 mph!! Yeah, I will have to play around with different pulley setups til I get one I am comfortable with. I have a few china atv tires that fit 8 inch rim, but I may just do like fearless did and weld atv hubs to the axles.
Thanks for subscribing! Yeah, I will sell it after I have repaired the motor next spring, for $350 dollars on dallas/fort worth craigslist. If you are in my area of Texas, I guess you could buy it.
I here yall get some nasty flooding a lot though. Its been real dry here lately, we needed the rain. Unfortunately a block from here a huge tree fell on a mans new F-150, totaled it.
I hope we get some more rain soon. I am just going to throw a 12hp single cylinder on to the murray and a 11hp on to that ariens. Small block briggs are all you need for a racer, big blocks are heavy and use alot of gas, and are better suited for mowing and towing.
Yeah that would have been, but... I already got rear tires on it now... oh well. I need to make an update on it, I got the mowing deck removed, removed the safety switches, and now I am just trying to figure out how or where to put a full size lawn tractor battery on it, as there isn't much room.
Ah yeah, I am not shipping it. It would be ridiculously expensive for such a tiny cheap mower. I can sell it here for 150 as is and not go through all the hassle of shipping and electronic payment. However, I want to fix it and sell it locally and make good money in the process.
Yes. I never finished it, I had a certain look for it in my head and was always scouring parts for it, I would find something neat and would say that would be perfect for it. The years went on, I got older, got a job, stopped fiddling with mowers as much and decided it was no longer a priority. I abandoned it, plain and simple but I have a hard time letting things go, so its out back by the fence covered in weeds and moss.
david moreland No, I have a full time job. By the weekend rolls around I have a ton of things to do. I got the parts, I have the money, but no time and too many projects.
sorry about the job. when are you going to realize working in the states is a waste of time and not worth it? its being a slave all you get is a few pennies for wasting 70% of your life.
Unfortunately, you are right. I don't know where you live, but I don't have much choice. If I had it my way, I would sit at home and mess with lawn mowers all day. However I can't make that much money doing that.
you dont need a job to survive society though has always tried to train us to think we do. there are options and quite frankly if you chose other options you would be happier! look at the yt channel "living free" and "the do it yourself world". just a few

that wide body murry is the same as my limo lawnmower and my mudder love that body on that ride

Cool ideas
Oh! congrats on the recent 2k subs!
Yeah, if I can find some real cheap I would use them. I will probably just use whatever I can find at first.
cant wait to see update vids on the race mower

How about doing paddle tires those will work great for sand
Just drive that MTD as is XD, serious that would be fun to watch lol
Did that haul master tire fit the axle right
From what I can remember as its been many years, it drove just fine, maybe a little lean to its stance but negligible if any.
76hotrodF250 ok thanks for replying I’m putting one on my one
just out of curiosity do you still own Rusticide?
