I’m very interested in this amp. Sounds like it sits between a Marshall plexi to a bogner uberschall depending on the sweep - low and high gain. Have you tried any shredding on this amp. Your chords sound beefy Looking to do Led Zeppelin to 80s shred and possibly 90s grind. What are your thoughts You had diesel / bogner and boogies on your wall, how does this compare. Any feedback on the 800 vs the hybrid. Pros and cons of them. You seem like a wizard guy now
I’m not any good at shred but the amp is clear and articulate so it’s able to do whatever you want. Hybrid is more versatile than the W800 but any Wizard is hard to beat.
@@mrshredder0076 those type of tones would be better off on the rhythm channel which can cover more vintage tones, the rhythm channel can go from clean to metal as it has a gain boost on the gain pot and volume pot.
MCII and Hybrid have similar upper mid kerrang but you can also dial in the MTL to have that. The Hybrid has the MTL EQ shaping without the depth. Either one kills.
@@wizardsouthJP thanks. Is it only the rythm channel that can have the mids of an MCII? Can channel 2 clean up enough do to pristine cleans? Thanks so much.
@@lesstalkmoretone3274 this amp has the preamp section of the MTL and power section controls of the MCII, it has plenty of mids. The rhythm channel can be set for clean, crunch or rock depending where you set the gain. And it’s takes a boost well.
I missed this one!
\m/ YES! \m/
Sounds so killer!

How does it sound for zeppelin / ZZ Top type riffs. All the sound are loaded with reverb and delays to hear the dry sound

Do you know if theres much of a difference in tone between the MTL mki and mkii?
Not a tremendous difference, but the MKII has more tone shaping tools that make it more versatile.
Wow, thats a sound! How would you compare the MCII to the Fryette deliverance 120? Are they close?
Both kick like a mule, but they sound different.
how do the mids on the hybrid sit vs the mc 2 and the mtl? I'm a fan of middy amps in general so I assume the mtl is a bit scooped in the upper mids?

@@wizardsouthJP cool beans. I've haven't seen an mtl demo that shows off the keranng yet hehe, ig most users are still using it for them chugs
if you had to only get one wizard what would you get?
any MTL does it for me no matter what the wattage, 40, 50, 100, 150, they all are fantastic
@@wizardsouthJP thanks chief
Is this on channel 1 or 2?
Lead channel

I'm struggling between a 100 watt hybrid or mtl mk2. Can you dial in the same tones on either?
They’re very close, if you want a depth knob for power amp control get the MTL. If you’re more hard rock then go for the Hybrid or MCII
