It is also very important to tell the fact that currency conversions for different US denominations are different where the value of US $100 > US $50 > US $20 and like that. They also do not accept old notes even if they are not torn in any way.
Same thing happens in Thailand.

I am back from Vietnam so technically no reason to check out videos but the nostalgia makes me see these. Plus you are doing great work giving honest genuine advice . Few suggestions based on my experience -
Indian IDP is not valid in Vietnam. India is a signatory to different IDP convention so if caught by cop even that won't help. That being said, no one was checking or asked me for it.
Klook was pretty unreliable for me. It locked my wife's and mine account for 24 hours. Finally had to contact local operators to book tour

Thanks for the informative video. ek query hai...mere pas drone hai direct flight se Ho Chi Minh city airport se entry hai aur uske baad dusre flight se Danang airport. iss situation me drone se dikkat nahi hona chahiye shayad.

This is my first international trip without a tour package. Travelling with my parents and sister from India. Really scared and nervous about the itinerary and bookings. Your videos have been very helpful. Can you please suggest how to find the best hotels and deals for accomodation? Of course I am looking at hotels where you stayed at to make my task easier. Also, we are pure veggies. Did you carry food from India because I have veg food is a big problem in vietnam. Apart from cat cat village and fansipan, what are other places to explore in sapa? Should we carry VND from India or USD?

Saurabh ji . You travelled by vietjet from Mumbai to vietnam. what is your experience on baggage especially carry on in terms of size measurements. My cabin bag is 2-3 cm larger than what is mentioned in vietjet website .

You have to come to Hanoi & then catch a flight to Danang. There is also options of trains/buses but take much time.

Can we carry drone in cabin luggage as well?
While going from India, It has to be in Check-in otherwise in Vietnam put it in cabin.
@@WanderingMonk does drone needs to be registered in my name or we only need to show the registration certificate.. actually it's registered in my father's name so not sure if I am eligible to carry.
I don't think that it matters, till date no one has ever checked any document. Any ways, you will be carrying drone registered in your father's name.

Except cetral Vietnam i.e Da Nang, Hoi an it's rainy season elsewhere so plan accordingly.
My e visa is applied , start point ho chi min end point hanoi however i m travelling entering vice versa any issue with that
I have seen people doing it, don't think it would be a problem. It would still be better to check with the airline/immigrations authorities.

Hello Sir My parents are going to Vietnam So can you please let me know about the currency.Should they have to exchange from inr to usd from India or they should carry any debit card
As mentioned in the video, I use Niyo by DCB global card & RBL World Safari credit card.
Very recently, I used Niyo card in UAE & Georgia & there were nominal ATM usage charges levied by local banks in some cases but not by Niyo. Niyo charged 20% of TCS, which got reversed (if your international expenditure is less than 7 Lacs in the financial year). The reversal of charges that I told in the video was of TCS only which was 5% before Oct'23 & now it is 20%, I thought TCS to be withdrawal charges. Niyo, DCB never charged any withdrawal fees.
Wherever possible, I use the RBL World Safari credit card, which has zero forex markup charge.

Flight prices are dynamic & depends on many factors, mainly on demand & supply. You can use fare tracker feaure of Google flights/Skyscanner so that you get alert in case of price drop.

Don't do that, I rented twice but not asked for any deposit.

Niyo is a debit card, no need to lod any currency, just withdraw from ATM as you withdraw in India.

Northern Vietnam would be a bit cooler during that time, overall should be OK.
Intended date of entry in visa application is when we are landing in Vietnam or when we are boarding the flight ? Like we are flying on 25th of sep and reaching Vietnam on 26th sep . So which date to write ?? 25th or 26th??
It would be 26th, 25th would also work because date of entry can be any day during the visa validity period of 30 days.

Usually the incoming SMS with basic international roaming is free, check with your operator for clarity.

Saurabh any idea how to write name on e-visa? The website has confusing information - specimen shows surname first but application shows name first.
It's simple the website says (First name Middle name Last name), so write the same name written on your passport. If your passport don't have middle name then don't include it on visa

I am also planning to get niyo dcb debit card but the website says 300+ gst for atm withdrawal, and you said in this video that it gets reversed.
Can you please clarify a bit more on that part? It doesn't say anywhere on the website about reversal of cash withdrawal fees, so it would be 354(incl gst) for every withdrawal you make right? How are you getting that reversed!

Can we book tours through Klook after landing in Vietnam ? Or we need to do it in India prior to departure.. since otp will not deliver in Vietnam..
You can do it there as well since incoming SMS are free if your International roaming is on.
