    Saurabh ji i just completed Vietnam tour, I covered hanoi and sapa. Tour was good, hanoi was hot but sapa was cool and enjoyable. And one problem mainly faced was vegetarian food.. But guys we did managed to find tasty indian food served at 2 restaurants in sapa which were opened recently one is Bollywood spice it's near to kk hotel sapa and other one is ganesh sapa restaurant (its old) both served tasty indian food. But bollywood spice offered us free water which is very rare in Vietnam. Hanoi does have lots of indian restaurants.

      @@raghuveersengar I don’t know if the question is for me but yes, better carry USD and only USD 100 new notes. Don’t carry USD 20 denomination as the you get lower exchange value. I just returned from Vietnam in January. I carried 1000 USD and wherever I needed, I just walked into any Jewellery store and exchanged 300 USD each time whenever I needed. For anywhere where they accept card, directly use your Indian credit card. Better than withdrawing from ATM there. Just activate international transactions on your credit debit card via NetBanking or mobile app and you are good to go.

      IDP (INTERNATIONAL DRIVING PERMIT) is mandatory... IDP is required to drive in any country in the world except your own country. Sometimes in some countries the local authorities may not ask about this. But take an IDP to be careful yourself. If for any reason there is an accident, a lot of trouble will increase. In addition, in some countries, violating traffic laws can result in jail and fines.

    Very informative vlog....we r planning to leave for Vietnam in next 10 days and want to know about forex. You have mentioned that niyo global forex card was helpful..if i apply today can I get it in this week.. also is withdrawal from ATM there with niyo is easier and cheaper than carrying local currency from here

      Thanks for watching.
      Usually, you will get Niyo (from DCB) within 3-4 days & it's more convenient & safer to withdraw than carrying lots of cash with you.

    Hello Sir. Your itinerary for vietnam is very helpful.
    Can you please clarify.
    1. Domestic airlines - i checked flights in vietjet and bamboo airlines from hanoi to danang to ho chi min
    2. Vietjt is very cheap. But bamboo airlines ranges from 2000 to 17000 for just one route. It is shocking. When dod you travel sir? Feb??
    3. I hear vietjet always delays flights
    4. Shud i book muticity tickets or one way from hanoi to danang to ho chi min ??

    • @WanderingMonk
      @WanderingMonk  Рік тому

    Hi,
    I’m planning a trip to Vietnam in the next few weeks and have a question about the e-visa process. It'll be me, my wife, and our 2-year-old daughter traveling.
    Do I need to apply for three separate e-visas for each of us, or can my daughter be added to either mine or my wife’s e-visa? I’ve tried looking up information on UA-cam, but it hasn’t been very helpful.
    If anyone has recently traveled to Vietnam with kids, I’d really appreciate your insights.
    Thanks in advance!

    Sir, I very much appreciate the efforts you have taken and find very informative and you did it well, explained each and every aspect of the travel plan. Let me ask one information, whether to engage any guide or we can manage the language with English, how is the culture of the country (I mean about risks of theft/cheating). Regarding shopping part also, whether electronic goods are cheaper compared to India.

    Greetings Mr wandering monk first of all I would thank you for creating such vlogs on UA-cam it really motivated me to visit vietnam which i am going in July.I had a question i tried to check the conversion rate from Inr to viet dong on book my forex i put 10k inr out of which they are only giving me viet dong worth 4k inr and the rest 6k inr are their commission. So i was only going to carry USD to vietnam and is there an atm at the hanoi airport where i can withdraw money as soon as i land for my taxi and sim and can convert the usd later in the old quaters

    Very useful and informative video - thank you! If we travel in the ideal months March is it better to travel from North to South or South to North. Many bloggers have mentioned since North is more beautiful, its better to go from South to North. We are planning a similarly itinerary but for 2 weeks so we thought of including Mua Caves trek and maybe Nha Trang. What do you suggest based on the weather? Any recommendations for something that should not be missed for 14 days in Vietnam apart from the itinerary shared?

    • @WanderingMonk
      @WanderingMonk  Рік тому

      March would be a good month weather wise. North to South or vice versa does not matter much. You can add Phu Quoc, Nha Thrang & Ban Gioc waterfall near China border in your itinerary.

      It's complicated or costly side trip in my view.
      If you go by flight takes about an hour but tickets are costly in my opinion-
      12go.asia/en/travel/ho-chi-minh-city/siem-reap?date=2023-01-27&people=1&direction=forward
      The cheaper option is bus via Phnom penh, but takes more time plus a halt in Phnom Penh.
