I like when a black and white movie is colorized. After all, people of that era where not living in black and white, so if the film makers had have the choice, they would have use color film to make their movies. But what's missing to recreate the atmosphere of that era is to present the movie at the right speed. People in those days where not taking speed. Because cameras of that time where filming at 16 fps, and modern projecters are using 24 fps speed, we are used to see silent movies in an accelerated tempo. But it was not the case in the movie theater of that time. The spectators where watching the action at the real speed. With the modern technology of today, continue to present those movies at high speed is ridiculous, and doesn't respect the intention of the movie maker

I do. Colorization WOULD be really cool if the technology was better. I think you'd get a better sense of how "real" the people were, especially since none of us will ever see these great silent actors in person at the time these films were made. :-(

But I have been watching films of that era which really made me laugh a lot, and that actor/writer of them was Buster Keaton. Personally, I think that he and Harry Langdon are the two funniest men of their time. Their films were well thought out and have good, if only simple, story lines. Chaplin, on the other hand, tended to improvise his scenes, I think, and relied partly on his facial expressions and appearing pitiful for laughs. Keaton's best gags were visual and situational; his supporting actors were also excellent. He was famous for his "pan" face (never smiled), and this added to the humour; he usually portrayed a simple but sincere and earnest man, which makes you take his side and feel for him. Chaplin wanted you to feel pity, mainly, which I find becomes wearing after a while.
Once you're a fan you have to stay a fan forever... Cuz everything she,he puts out is an evolution from the previous and you can't miss any their products
