You should listen to "Shoreline" with his band "Broder Daniel". Great song.

I think I've heard a song or two but (I think) all I really remember about them is their robot face paint 😄

i dont know if this has anything to do with this songs lyrics in particular but he has songs that is about ppl who ripped him off
on Broder daniels first 2 albums Saturday Night Engine (1995) and Broder Daniel (1996) with their (then) current record label EMI they got their share of 6% of all sold records
even if Henrik wrote all the songs he had that mindset that all the members should get their equal share so they got 1,2% each
people in the music industry said that he should be thankful that he earned anything at all since they let him work with his music, he said that sounded reasonable since he didn't know better
then they changed to Dolores Records (1997) and got 12% of the record sales and a bigger share of the royalties when Broder Daniel Forever was released in 1998
when the record label Telegram bought Broder Daniels catalog they were promised to get 20% but didn't get anything according to Henrik himself
when it comes to Merchendise he hasn't earned anything from it
what income he had was performance shares of royalties (the compensation you get when the song is played for example on Radio or TV)
but the rest of the income did the record label keep, henrik doesn't have the contract they signed and the record label refuse to give him a copy when he asked
this is the reason he chosen to release all his future music on his own Bandcamp page instead of through a record label
He never had much money even though the great successes with Broder Daniel, he even had to go to the pawn shop with his instruments to get some money, and he wrote one of the biggest hit songs in Swedish history and had his band included in Swedish Music Hall of Fame in 2018
besides that i know that he has been talking in interviews that he had both a drug and alcohol abuse, i feel like he choose to sing about it in a positive tune and i get to thinking about the Joker from Batman
He does bad stuff but he does it with a big smile on his face
About the genre, he makes indierock/indiepop which means that his music is too diverse to put into a specific rock or pop subgenre
Indie as in independent, he do his own thing
