a genuine horseman knows when his horse is too tired to continue, you have no chance of winning so pull up. hope the horses that couldn't get to their feet were only winded.
Disturbing that exhausted horses weren't pulled up. One horse definitely appeared to have broken something. If your horse isn't fit why enter?
ok, accidents happen but here 50% of falls could have been prevented, if not more by far.
A lot of unfit horses! Last faller the way you were riding into the fence your horse was exhausted why continue to push,what an honest horse shame he/she was pushed to collapse on landing shame on you!

How many horses were injured in this race? Several looked as though they couldn't even stand up after falling..
It's one thing when an accident happens during the race. It's another thing if you have a lot of unfit horses put in one race. Latter that's the case here :/
Also some of the riders are pushing the horses more than they can go. Like at the end the man whipped the horse over and over again even though you could see the horse was trying its best. And the horse fell on the last hedge and couldn't get up because of how exhausted it was. I've been seeing in most of the videos Iive seen like this, it very sadand not enjoyable for the horse at this point most of the horses don't seem excited either like most eventing horses do.
what happened to the horse that fell that was coming 2nd fell at last hedge, it wouldnt get up?

May be better not to know. Very sad to view. Its all about the owners/riders responsibility and this vid shows so many totally not responsible people ... There is no veterinary proof? There are no qualifications for that kind of race? Its similar to The Great Pardubice Steeplechase - its long distance, many big jumps ... What do the people there think? My horse loves to gallop and Im going with him twice a week ridding, so we can do this? Shame on them all! Im totally not against such public races, but there must exist some rules.

Antler Challenge 2012 uploaded by William Murphy and it looks as if he has broken his nearside foreleg but someone called Mike Foley comments that they were just tired and got up fine after a while.
Stewards should be appointed along the course to pull up exhausted horses. There are far too many unfit horses and riders who should not even start.
this is the worst thing ever. They aren't even jockeys there only hunters that think they can ride and end up hurting the horses and causing them bad injuries. half the horses aren't even fit.
Gave up I'm afraid. The camera work was dreadful and all out of focus.

All of them some of them were hurt but all survived

Trust me guys horses are fit for this. It's just that most of the horses are very unfit for the job and need more training The number of racers is another risk, there are way too many horses going at one time and the horses can get trampled and die or the rider.The highest level of eventing is harder than this but most of the horses make it and only a few fall down with no injuries or little scratches, very rarely do eventing horses die.
I wouldn't do dat if my life depended on it probably cuz If I did I would die anyway went to that antler challenge ditches are HUGE

Absolutely disgusted by this video. As a horse lover I can't believe this kind of thing is allowed. It's worse than the national but those horses are trained these are just not fit enough to do this type of work. Shame on those for taking part
