What's ACTUALLY Next For The Heavyweight Division?

- After Dubois beat Joshua I wanted to answer the question of what is actually next for the heavyweight division. With so many potential future matchups, I take a guess at what we can expect in the future of Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, Usyk, Dubois, Parker, Wilder and many more.
Fuck it . AJ v wilder than Aj v Fury no matter what.
Top fighters winning and losing against each other is the greatest thing that can happen in this sport. The sooner we lose the stigma of maintaining an 0 the better.
But regarding the future, I’d like to see Usyk beat Fury and retire, thus releasing the belts back into the wild. Then If Fury and Joshua decided to lock horns for one final payday before riding into the sunset I doubt anyone will complain. I hope Wilder retires, his time is over IMO. I think Parker deserves a shot at Dubois given his last few results. Maybe have Bakole and Zhang duke it out, and start funnelling the future stars (Kabayel/Clarke/Wardley etc) into the mix
AJ Wilder. Let's just fucking finally get it over with.
Could you imagine if Usyk moves back down to Cruiserweight and becomes Undisputed again 😂😂
Wouldn’t be surprised
That would actually be the coolest thing ever 😂
Move down and face the winner of Bivol vs Beterbiev
Look what happened to Roy Jones when he gained weight then lost weight. Destroyed him. Not a good idea for Usyk to go back down… just my subjective opinion 😁
@@lucasroberts2138 you could be right, Usyk isn't a spring chicken either
Would love Dubois Vs Parker on the Fury Usyk 2 Co main slot Please turkey make it happen
Sad to see man the current era of the heavyweight division is dying fury going down hill, Aj loosing like he did wilder going through the same experience and usyk on the verge of retirement
I don't follow boxing a whole lot, but you do a good job of explaining it to where I can understand what's going on. Makes me feel like I'm being properly introduced into the sport. Thanks!
Francis Ngnanou vs wilder for the best power punche
Parker deserves a title shot, versus usyk or Dubois either way, wouldn't hate it being usyks last fight. Win the remarch vs fury, then beat parker and hes fully cleaned heavyweight. Retire and enjoy the sunset😊
If Usyk beats Fury, Usyk v Dubois 2 could happen for undisputed again. Which means Usyk could become 2x Undisputed Heavyweight Champion. He’d be Top 5 of all time if he were to achieve that.
A rematch between Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke is a matchup I very much want too see. Their first fight was fireworks 🧨
Another good video as always lad, keep it up 👏
I reckon that rematch will be fireworks like the first, a must watch fight. Appreciate you always tuning in bro!
@@CloisterYT No problem! And I totally agree, rematch will deffo be as good or even better than the first, both guys going for a finish this time! 🥊
It’s already confirmed lad
@@OJrB100 I legit didn't realize that until the other day, lol😂
@@K-S228 Yh not long to go now
I think a very interesting fight to make would be the AJ vs Dillian Whyte sequel. It makes sense for both of them, huge opportunity for DW too, but then i suppose you could argue that he doesn't really deserve the opportunity. Or put AJ against Miller, another fight that didn't happen. Or AJ/Hrgovic after both coming off a DD loss.
Good vid, lad.
Thanks mate!
The perfect matchups:
Dubois vs Zhang /best power
Wilder vs Joshua /best Comeback
Agit vs Parker /best technique
You are right 👏🏾👏🏾
How tf was Richard Torres Jr not mentioned? Dude has KOed every single of his 11 opponents he's faced. I can't wait to see him go up in challenge.
Cloister (or '"cloister") matey, how can you describe Joseph Parker as "an older fighter", yet describe Martin Bakole (6 months younger) as a rising star yet to see his peak? Is Justis Huni a rising star?
What I meant behind that was Joseph Parker has been at a world level for a significant period of time. He has been at that level since 2016 while at that time Bakole only had a handful of fights. Bakole is only now bursting onto the world stage with less mileage while Parker has been up there for almost a decade.
He would have to fight Dubois in order to leave no stone unturned since many believe that Dubois beat Usyk with a body shot so they have to run it back and knowing Usyk (who stayed at cruiser weight just to give Bellew a shot before moving to heavy weight) he will most likely do it.
Yeah 2010s heavyweight era is over. Time for a new era to step up in heavyweights.
Fury, AJ & Wilder have fallen.
If Fury rematches and wins that’s huge. He should retire after that though. The AJ fight is profitable.
The money factor will be too motivating, win or lose I reckon the AJ Fury fight will end up being made. But also thanks for taking the time to comment mate!
Honestly, I imagine Usyk will likely fight Dubois again since their last fight was a bit controversial when it came to the low blow; that is if Usyk wins against Fury in their rematch (which is my hope). Then maybe Usyk will take on Parker. After that, I honestly can’t see Usyk staying in the heavyweight division much longer. He doesn’t really have to prove himself against Wilder or AJ again, and I don’t see him seeing Zhang as much of a challenger (unless Usyk simply wants to give the older fighter a chance).
Tyson Fury will likely either fight AJ if Fury loses to Usyk or just retire. I can’t see him wanting to fight Zhang, Parker, or Dubois anymore. He barely seems like he wants to fight Usyk other than to prove the first fight was a fluke. I honestly think if Fury had won against Usyk in the first fight, he would have retired without giving Usyk the chance at a rematch. His heart just isn’t in it anymore.
I think Wilder is probably going to retire, but if he doesn’t he’ll likely want a rematch against Zhang or will go for AJ himself. I just don’t see him wanting to fight Usyk, Parker again, or Dubois.
In all honesty, I imagine old guard is going to call it very soon and AJ, Fury, Wilder, and Usyk will likely be out of the game within 2 years or less. It’s about time we get some new players in the game.
It has to be doubois vs parker next. Parker deserves this
AJ vs Wilder heads…just let it go fellas.
Has Deontay wilder claimed if he wants to retire or stay active ?
If usyk beats fury again he will probably rematch dubois and if he wins that too he will retire leaving the division in a terrible spot
fury vs dubois and Aj vs wilder. winner faces each other. winner gets a rematch against the champ
Fury vs duboi 🤣 you mean dubois vs usyk 2
Fury just lost to Usyk why does he deserve another championship fight

Either way the heavyweight division will be boring after the Usyk vs fury rematch
If the belts scatter bc of Usyk retiring or moving down to cruiserweight, it’ll be a long time when they fight for them or all the belts like recent years
If Usyk stays, he’ll likely just defend against anyone and everyone else will just fight each other to face him like they are rn
And I think if they Fury, Wilder or AJ suffer another loss they should consider retirement and give the upcoming heavyweights a chance. Because they are getting title shots even after suffering losses
0:58 mentioning Wilder as a serious challenger at this point is delusional, man is completely washed up💀
Ya like he might have a fun fight or two left and I'd probably watch but he ain't beating any top guy
Parker.
I don't know why everyone wants to see Wilder vs AJ, Wilder looked washed in both his last outings, I really don't see AJ being nearly that bad yet and think he still has some mileage against top 10 guys. I would really love to see him have a rematch against Parker. That to me will be a good test to see whether he still belongs in the top 10. If he loses or wins a split decision I think it tells us he really has diminished (vs having a really bad gameplan and getting punished immediately for it) and dropped a few spots. If he somehow gets KO'd, I think it shows his below average chin has degraded to a glass chin. If he dominates via a KO or a dominant points win, I think it tells us that he still belongs with the top guys. I'd prefer to see AJ fight Parker, Philip Hrgovic, or Miller before Wilder. If he loses to them, he might be washed enough to make the Wilder fight interesting imo, but I really don't see any path to rising again from going against Wilder next (which may be impossible, but it's obviously what him and his team are going to want).
Would love to see DDD vs Agit Kabayel, Bakole or Jared Anderson
Wilder is washed he has retired why are we even talking about him
wilder? wilder is done sorry, he simply refuses to fight. Wilder? no way. dubois bashes parker. parker boxing smarter but dubois gets to him like joyce did and bum, parker out
That AJ knockout hopefully gave Usyk fans a reality check. This can happen to anyone and there is no such thing as "Usyk wins with ease". Its a fight and anything can happen.
No one said that kid. Stop making nonsensical statements
Except for when he literally does it every time of course everyone can get knocked out but let’s be honest he’s probably gonna whoop anybody he fights

Hot take. There needs two new divisions. One at 185 or 190 and then make a 200 division and go from 210+ or 220+
That is a hot take. Because it sounds absolutely horrible.
@@lrockyfan5106 explain how? fury weighs anwhere from 260 to 280 when fighting. usky weights 220. aj weights 245. what is wrong with putting an actual weight class so these heavyweights are not constantly going against someone who could be 20 to 50lbs heavier than them. in other classes weighing a couple pounds over is considered a huge advantage
@@avanderwolf49 because we have too many weight classes as it is. Parker beat Zhang who is way bigger than him, Usyk beat fury, and there’s not that many boxers 200 lbs or above to make 3 new weight classes. Your idea will just water down boxing even more.
@@lrockyfan5106 i think we have too many classes in the lower weight classes but not enough the hirer the weight goes. i think that there is no need for a superfeatherweight or superflyweight even. i like the 10lbs range for each weight class but stopping at 200 is weird to me
