okay so context for this. I have never once in my life been interested in A Sport. two days ago my adhd decided we'd be hyperfixating on women's wrestling. so I just started gathering clips because I'm insane, hope this helps
Very similar situation for me. I've only ever been interested in wrestling in an on-again off-again VERY irregular interest, though I know about some of the plot lines they do in WWE from time to time.
However...
Last Sunday I gathered with a bunch of friends to watch Wrestlemania and something unlocked in me, I realized I was watching a soap opera in the middle of an anime duel and I just had to learn more and now I'm listening to wrestler's theme songs and it is just all downhill from here I can fuckin tell.

I have no interest in watching men fight however, because even though I don't think wrestling necessarily has any toxic masculinity, it's just too reminiscent of "alpha male" violence and toxic masculinity for me to want to see it lmao. women's wrestling however,,,

It’s WWE but you totally have to watch Bailey and Sasha’s 2015 NXT Takeover Iron (Wo)Man match. Truly one of the greatest women’s matches I’ve ever seen. Just something about seeing two women go at each other for 30 straight minutes and by the end they’re both disheveled and exhausted but still standing and still fighting. It looks so grueling but simultaneously like it must have been a nigh-religious experience. The way they maintain tension and narrative impact throughout the entire thing is crazy, too

@mushroompoet in aew. I have been hypetfixated for months and a wrestling fan for years but I finally became a fan fan earlier this year for the wwe. But when I become a wrestler (I found two 5 star training schools in my city) I want to go in aew eventually

ok outside of the obvious Appeal™, this is the most I've been interested in wrestling since I read a WWE book in elementary school. Willow Nightingale has such a presence in the ring. Might look further into it.
