I wish people would learn to work on these cars themselves. I’m a 4 time MB owner, 99 c230 sport with a super charger, 2007 c230 sport. 2011 e350. 2013 GL550 with an exhaust mod and tune. They are not that hard to work on. They just need proper care. Ships usually charge outrageous prices. Just blows my mind how easy some of the work is. Dealer wanted 500+ to replace a serpentine belt and tensioner pulley and 2 idlers on a car I did the job in 25 mins start to finish and paid about 60$ in parts. I like to call the dealer after I do a job just to see how much I saved lol. I’m about to do this T case job for a friend who was quoted 4k from one shop and 1200 at another. I’ll be making 800$ and the parts are not that expensive. Just crazy. Y’all are awesome for documenting this. MB is a nice car. People dawg them and give them a bad name but there is no comparison.
If you maintain them properly they last and serve you well. We think they are reliable vehicles. Thanks for your support.
