Can we just give Suni Lee some serious credit for putting on that performance with less than 2 months of only light training due to health issues. I mean, a silver on balance beam while cutting big chunks of her difficulty out because she wasn't 'in shape?' Yeesh.
Didn't even know she was in the competition. Man! The pressure of being reigning Olympic all round champion.
Yeah, she basically did her Olympic beam routine, minus the double wolf turn because you can do two on a row anymore, and with a simpler dismount.
Improved splits overall
That lady has nerves of steel. Absolutely stunning performance, and probably the best-looking wolf turn in the competition.
She's been performing all year in NCAA....so it's not as if she stopped after Tokyo and only started training 2 months ago...I do give her credit....but she's not been sitting at home since Tokyo
I like how Simone doesn't take her time in the corners before tumbling passes. She just turns around and SLAYS.
Joscelyn reminds me of Shawn Johnson, although she's even _more_ petite. Her wolf turn on floor was amazing and I love that slow, elegant arm-lowering movement she makes after her passes.
She's no where near as good, but I see it. Shawn Johnson had better consistency, flow and tumbling skills
Shawn was tight. Gah, I'm going to go cry now. I'm triggered. I am still mourning her retiring on that skiing injury. @@MrJbee1982
I thought I was crazy, but I agree. Something about her beam routine was giving me major Shawn vibes.
When it comes to the flexebility during her leaps, yes
Girl were we watching the same wolf turn
Blessed you for putting this together. Please continue for all meets. ❤
I can’t believe Simone. 26 and she still has it. Amazing!
Simone was simply the best 💪🏽💪🏽 GOAT is really back!!
Simone was so amazing, I cried. Also...Kaliya Lincoln - wow! Beautiful to watch, flexible, loads of power.
I think Kaliya rotated the Silivas just as easily as Simone did when she didn’t connect it to the front full. I wonder if she’ll upgrade to a triple double since it was SO easy
Yooooo frfr where did Kaliya come from??!! I was there in person, front row by floor (bc Simone!!) But yeah she blew me away and I had never heard of her before!! Overall, the meet was MAGICAL! The whole stadium was electric, the athletes were having a blast, and everyone was stellar!
Kaliya was underscored on floor imo. No clue where they got to 8.1 E even with the artistry deductions
26 and still killing it Simone? GREAT!
Simone, Suni, Sky and Zoe. Goodness, what depth of talent before the nationals!
Olympic team with jocelyn R
@@yolandekmycAbsolutely not when Shilese is already qualified for Nationals and Jordan and Jade haven’t shown their best work.
Simone looks great & is showing us why she is the greatest gymnast at this time. She should go in the history books with the others greats. Go Simone..🤩
Love Simone’s routine!! 😍😍 and Joscelyn is a force to be reckoned with as well!!!
Skyes lines are absolutely incredible i cannot wait to see more of her
Can we talk about how skye medaled on all the events she performed.. so rooting for her! And that beam should have been higher than 14.3
Yes I couldn’t believe that E score! She was soooo floaty
@@Yeri-strawberry josc is a strong contender. But her having a better e score than skye was kinda weird to me but they are both great
Wow Joscelyn looked really solid out there! I feel like I may be looking at an Olympian if everything keeps going well for her. Which I hope it does but there are so many ladies not at their full potential yet, we just never know! Just excited bc she is a newer face to me, so many ladies did very well at this meet.
She is impressive. She has this to use to tighten it up for next year.
Bravo to all ladies
6 August 2023 pm
Nice to see Simone back in action after all the pressure she has been dealing with: fabulous floor and balance beam routines. She's trying new stuff!❤
The moors landing from Jocelyn was INSANE! Also, does anyone else think Kaliya reminds them of Gabby Douglas a bit?
Her and Skye have the same coach than Gabby. Their gymnastic is so elegant…
yeah it’s exactly what i thought, incredible gymnast tho
I was thinking the same thing too! so elegant but powerful. they have a 90s feel to them that I love above all.
@@audemm699 gabby was coached to the olympics by chow, not by woga. gabby is currently at woga. woga did not give her how style.
@@audemm699jocelyn elegant??
Lincoln reminds me of Gabby Douglas I wish she could get her difficultly up on other events I really like her lines
Haha I thought the same thing
Oh my gosh !!! 😊💜
I was TOTALLY thinking how much she resembles Gabby !!
Their faces have such similarities !!
She reminds me of Trinity Thomas
GREAT JOB SIMONE, LEANNE, JOSCELYN, SKYE AND DULCY!!!
It’s nice to see the GOAT back. Made me smile.
My only critique is the American ladies gotta get their leaps and splits to 180. When you watch the Chinese ladies, you can see the difference in splits and leaps. The international judges will critique splits that are not 180 horizontal especially when the Chinese ladies go past horizontal.
They do hit 180. The difference is that the oversplit is more associated with hitting splits instead of the bare minimum 180.
Agreed
@@hazelnutspred3348The American switch halfs on beam do not hit 180 lol. Tbh I would rather they just stopped doing them all together on beam as they are losing more than they are gaining. Only the gymnasts who are really good at hitting splits (eg Suni) should have a lot of big leaps in their beam routines otherwise they get hit with deductions.
@@tired4748Aren’t they suppose to be included in routines and if so how can they eliminate mandatory items?
@@tired4748 ok obviously some of them don’t hit every split on every event but to generalize like they never hit 180 is absurd. Literally every country except maybe China and Japan has this issue with their gymnasts. All that matters is the top gymnasts do, and they do
Had Simone opened with The Biles II instead of The Chusovitina, and ended with The Chusovitina instead of the Double Layout, the D-Value of her Floor routine would have been 7.2 or 7.3 🤯
Imagine she replaces the Biles 1 with a Moors also.
Joscelyn’s turn on beam was so accurate while in motion and it was sick how she finished her Mitchell turn on floor right with the music!
Her Mitchell looks really nice. The front leg looks a tiny bit bent but could just be her build. She rotates it so fast and seems to be in control most times
I was blessed to be there, front row by floor exercise, and it was a MAGICAL NIGHT!
1. Thank you so much for the video, this is awesome!
2. Skye's beam - holy shit
3. Kaliya on floor - holy shit
4. Simoneeeeeee WE MISSED YOU
Beautiful gifts. All the women showed up. But SIMONE IS EXCELLENCE. SHE has set the bar.
Simone is a firecracker 🎉

Just as I suspected. Simone is a beast
There's a mistake, Simone did not win Vault. Since she performed only one vault (15.4), she wasn't competing for this event finale.
Kaliya Lincoln scored a 14 on floor with effortless tumbling, which included a Silivas that could be a Biles II on day, and beautiful execution and expression.
Skye Blakely put on a master class on beam scoring a 14.3
Why is your results so incomplete???
The double layout for a final pass is beyond insane
AGREED❤
I have never see so many genuine smiles!! I love it
Or so much enjoyment of what they were doing! They were really enjoying the competition, unlike in the bad old Karoly days when everyone looked exhausted and gloomy. Their smiles looked fake and seldom reached their eyes, just looked pasted on.
It’s good seeing you back again Simone just take your time. You look more relaxed this time more focused. Don’t be so hard on yourself and have fun.
Joscelyn is the one to watch leading up to Paris 2024. She has a whole year to work on her form. She could be a force!
Let me edit this: she is the newcomer to watch. Of course everyone is watching the returning stars.
I’m really excited to see what she does next! She has so much power in her tumbling especially!
she can tumble but dont like her form and artistry. lack of extension.... i am much more excited abour leanne and suni
I can’t figure out why but she reminds me a bit of Shawn Johnson.
@@BethaneyLillyshawn johnson s phisique was different
@@BethaneyLilly I found myself thinking the same thing. For me, it was her beam performance, especially the pacing of the elements and her general demeanor on beam. Super excited to keep watching this year!
CONGRATS Simone ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great performances! Glad to see Simone back!
After watching Joscelyns vault, I was waiting to see what those legs would do on floor! Did not disappoint. She’s got some major power !!!!
amazing thanks for posting!
Zoe Miller’s landing on bars was spot on!
Wow! So many incrediblely talented young ladies! Not only for this cycle but several to watch out for in the next cycle. We have such a stacked deep pool of beautiful gymnasts its almost embarrassing.
Kaliya Lincoln’s floor routine deserves more credit! The power is insane omg
It was beautiful to watch too.
Exactly!
TEAM WORK MAKES the DREAM WORK ❤🙏🔥💯😘
Amazing!!!
I love how the score is displayed on the top left. Thank you
These young ladies really showed up for their craft. Excellent job! Be well everybody!
Everyone did a great Job...Congratulations.
the 'skandasana' like stretch on the floor routines are new and RAD to me...the power on the landings is CRAZY
Awesome job ladies ❤
Kidney disease can be fatal. I am so sorry that Suni is dealing with this but she must take care of her vital organs before anything else. My sister has 3rd stage kidney disease, potassium levels are super high, chest pains, multiple hospitalizations and each time she’s discharged only those of us close to her know how serious her disease is. Her philosophy is that she’s not going to stop living until she drops dead. The difference is Suni is very young and should take however long it takes to get better, my sister is 68 so she really doesn’t care. I can see in Suni’s face even with all the makeup that she’s not well and I hope she puts her health over elite gymnastics. She’s a cute, sweet, talented gymnast. Her coach puts too much on her bar’s routine as she will never beat Nina from the Netherlands. Suni, I love you but don’t play with your vital organs. I’m surprised they are even letting her compete knowing rxs contain many substances. So sorry. She did really good but if she were my child she would not be doing this type of sport.
Very nice.
Welcome back Simone biles and congratulations on your win
#SimoneBiles The BEST ever ❣️
Love seeing some more variety of moves on beam!
These young ladies are amazing!
I'm so Proud of all these Young Ladies. Looking Amazing ❤❤❤
Great! Can’t wait to see the men’s event winners!
Video just posted! :)
@@TheGymnasticsSpot woohoo! Thanks!
They are gorgeous😍😍
Honestly they were extremely generous with some of these scores! Especially Simone’s bars! Her vault was superb though!
But the vault was also overscored
In addition to her amazing twists and flips, Simone Biles also has the most graceful arm motions. Some of the other gymnast have very mechanical, perfunctory arm motions in between their flips. Simone actually has the ballet like movement.
I love Joscelyn’s little slow lowering of hands before/after tumbling passes🥹 Little quirks that each athlete has are fun to pick out. 😂👏🏽
Omg she really comeback ,simone ,cant wait for you to compete in paris games
😂 the blood curdling scream someone did after skye on beam!!lol
Incredible athletes
Suni Lee ate that beam up! 👏🔥
I love Simone!! She is the GOAT!!! But I got my eye on Skye, she is tremendous on that beam!! She is a true force!!!
I love how much Joscelyn smiles. Was her execution a little messy or does it just appear that way because she is shorter in stature? Seemed to me like her knees were bent, feet flexed, lack of flexibility, but her E scores dont reflect that. So maybe its me?
I think it's a combination of her body type and stature and her technique. I don't think her execution is actually much worse than anyone else's, her body type just makes it easier for the average fan to notice.
I noticed the same thing. Look at her floor routine her E score was 7,6, what gave her the medal was the difficulty
10:19 This literally one of the best wolf turns I've ever seen. It looks so good until we all probably forgot it was the ugly element. 😆
Gran competencia 😊
Amazing talents! God bless and keep these superb athletes healthy and safe. I find it very interesting with the critiques from all those lazy people who sit and eat potato chips and drink pop. These young ladies train so hard to get where they are. I wonder if any of those chronic complainers have children who have achieved as much. Maximum respect these young ladies!
Simone and Joscelyn are both tremendously powerful gymnasts and so impressive. Just incredible athletes. What I miss is the artistry and flexibility that gymnasts like Nastia brought. The long, elegant lines. Suni on beam reminded me of that a little bit.
Skye Blakely has long elegant lines. There were plenty of gymnast in this video with that. Variety and diversity is a great thing
@@theonly1likeme Yep! I love the diversity in this group. Like I said, Simone's power and Sun's flexibility are stunning!
Hope so that she wins medals 🏅 at paris Olympics. Can't wait ❤
The competition on beam and bars is going to be hotttt!
Obrigado por postar
I need someone in my life who will cheer me on like that girl in the blue was cheering on Zoe during her bar routine.
Bravo Simone 👏👏👏👏🇪🇸
Suni and Joscelyn are iconic as hell
Congrats to everyone! I just wish the E scores were remotely realistic. They are way too high compared to what international judges would give.
Welcome to gymnastics!!! 😃 It seems like this is your first time watching the sport. I am here to tell you that every single domestic competition has some degree of scoring inflation.
imo, it doesn't matter whether the scores are "inflated" or too harsh. what matters to me is whether the inflation or harshness is applied universally.
@@tambam6744 More like I wish NBC would deal in reality. Sam knows better, that an 8.3 E score on beam isn’t happening at Worlds, yet they put a yellow square next to the score.
@@fishtail1129A couple of the gymnasts that got 8.000-8.300 execution scores were fairly accurate if you look at their international scores from previous competitions. Suni and Simone specifically. This is the classic, it’s not championships or an international competition. This has always happened, and in every single country.
@@tambam6744Not every
Wow, that double double from Kailya is sky high
This Skye young lady has my attention
Once a Goat always a Goat! Good job Simone 😍👏👏
Wow Kaliya Lincoln reminds me a lot of Trinity Thomas. They're both so elegant with their floor routines. Miss Trinity in elite.
Jocelyn is on fire 🔥 🙌👏
SIMONE BILES IS ABSOLUTELY FREAKIN AMAZING!!!...THE G.O.A.T.!!!...👑👑👑...DROP THE 🎤 🎤🎤
USA USA USA 🇺🇸 🎉
Let’s go SIMONE !!!!🙌🏿🇺🇸💋
Idk who Skye is yet but she is going to be a household name if she keeps performing at this level. Wow
Exactly
Yes, she is excellent, love the spirit she brings to the floor.
All that Black girl magic on the asymmetric bars!
What happened to simone tho at vault? Didnt she do a second vault? Her first was the biles II right?
Kaliya reminds of Trinity Thomas. Beautiful!
joscelyn looks great.
Get Joscelyn on that worlds team!!! She is amazing
Omg it's like you can't even blink so you won't miss the next move.
I wonder if we will see the 2012 AA champ Gabby Douglas back before next year's trials?
Yes because she'll have to qualify to trials. She would probably do at least Classic and nationals next year if she's serious.
The way qualifications work this quad is you have to compete at least two events at classics and receive a minimum score of 13.2 average for two events and a 50.5 (I think) for the all around to qualify to nationals. (If you only compete two events at classics you have to petition to compete the all around). Then you have to qualify to trials with even better scores than that. The world's team from 2023 this year will qualify automatically to nationals in 2024.
@@kiraalldredge48 that makes sense..so Simone is basically a lock then as she was during the previous two quads.
@@user-yd1du5ny2i as long as she stays healthy and she actually wants to go, then yes. Simone is pretty much a lock.
@@kiraalldredge48 exactly my thoughts.. ESPECIALLY after the new Double Yurochanko vault she just premiered
My world championships team prediction is Simone, Skye, Shi, Joscelyn and Jordan so far
The balance beams scores are certainly a choice
❤️🌻🇧🇷 Simone | DIVA
Those vaults were so sloppy
That's because only 4 gymnasts competed 2 vaults, so the vault medalists looked less competitive than the other events' medalists.
Simone Biles floor performance on Noa Kirel’s Unicorn Eurovision performance 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Let’s go TEAM USA!🔥🇺🇸👍🏼😊
Skye Blakely is really good.
What’s up with the vault landings and the floppy feet in the air? Like Wong…I’ve never seen her do that before.
it's early in the season! no one goes 100% at classics, nor should they. you gotta save your absolute best for when it really counts.
Why was Simone biles vault not recorded?
why is this results list different than the one on NBC...?
Super women!
kinda wild how all the judges during Simone Biles's floor set couldn't look away and even took out their smartphones in the end
