Can we get a video comparing all of the new Eureka machines, or a few of the popular models? It would also be nice to get a comparison on the Rocket Fausto vs Eureka Atom 65. There aren't a lot of hands on videos for these yet so I appreciate your reviews!

I purchased an open box Atom from SCG in March to replace a Baratza Vario.. I don't miss the Vario and that was a great grinder. I love the Eureka and the silence. Only issue is with the portafilter holder but other than that, the Atom is a top end grinder.

Gail, thanks for review. It would be good to open the grind chamber to understand the residues. It's "smaller brother" Atom 60 generates huge residues...
Do you also plan to review atom 75?

How does it compare with the Rocket Espresso Fausto (which is made by Eureka AFAIK)?

Did you compare Atom 65 to Atom? Interesting how big really is advantage of 65 over plain Atom, aside from being couple of seconds faster?

I really love your videos!. If i make 2-3 espresso shots a day, is it worth getting a grinder like this? Should i look for a zero retention grinder instead?

Thanks for the awesome video. How do you think it'll compare to the new 75 that is supposed to be coming out?

How does it compare with the zenith 65? They both have 65mm burrs now

Wll the new 65mm burrs fit onto the burr carrier of the old 60mm Atom?

The Atom is a pretty good machine, but I had a handful of issues with it, and its poor design. The best part about this grinder is its awesome user interface, but that isn't enough to fix its shortcomings.
My PLASTIC auger(should have been steel like every other manufacturer that employs one uses) broke and jammed by grinder, no clue how it broke, but it is unacceptable for a 9 month old grinder at that time. The part also took a couple months to even receive as replacement under warranty.
The chute/grind chamber design is pretty abysmal as well, these grinders leave a significant amount of retention, which in most home use cases is unacceptable, obviously in a low volume cafe this isn't an issue as the grinds don't sit long enough to matter. My use case at home would see 10-15g of retention in the chamber, and the chute would also clog up at times.
The grinds also shoot sporadically on the counter and around the portafilter itself, causing a mess every morning, not a big mess, but I had no idea what a 'great' grinder could do until I replaced it.
The other annoying thing is how useless the PF holder truly is on these Eureka machines, they have remedied it slightly on this specialty, but they still have one of the worst designs on the market comparatively. Also talking about that PF holder, the light provided by the grinder is nice, but quite useless in my experience, it made little difference if I had one or not, your results may vary.
Im pretty sure this last point is fixed slightly on their updated hoppers, but the Atom's hopper that I had was the worst design Ive ever seen on a grinder. Beans would just hang out on the side walls because the angle was way too minimal to help assist the beans into the throat of the grinder.
I would highly recommend a number of other grinders over this, that are ALSO equally as quiet or more so, and also keep their grind setting when disassembled.

Are you referring to the original Atom 60? I believe some of the issues were addressed with the Atom 65.
