  • Homestuck's alchemical system is bizarre and vast, but how loyal is it to its real-world roots? Or are there other hidden allusions Hussie added in? This is only the first half, folks.

The real Alchemy was Davepetasprite^2 all along.
Also: Will admit that the whole "Root word being Chem" thing feels a bit flimsey to me. I will research more and address it in the next alchemy-based vid.

alchemy does work it's what the elite are using to harvest our souls, just look at the whole travis scott concert, its littered with alchemy symbolism. most of what we have been told are lies, so as to keep us ignorant from THE TRUTH and the one who identified himself as THE TRUTH.

My reading of the Alpha kids having lands named after noble gases is that because they messed up the prototyping process, the game did not allow them to fully develop their respective lands, thus making them inert in the grand scheme of things - just like the noble gases are not capable of chemically interacting with other elements.

that's because this is the satanic matrix, this whole world is a satanic ritual, it might as well have one huge pentagram on the floor of all the land inside of what can only be called a very complex version of minecraft/sburb created by the GOD of the bible. minus the whole planets and space part as it's a flat realm with a dome over it (look at the disney logo they put the truth there for us to see in plain sight). the fact you live in a flat realm with a dome with other domes containing other alien/angelic/inter dimensional creatures living outside our own is the big secret they are hiding from you.

@@tudoraragornofgreyscot8482 THE TRUTH✝ is what i'm talking about water always finds it's way flat and level if you use your god given eyes and break free from the indoctrination about how it's stupid to do so ==>🥛👀. nasa in hebrew means "to deceive" they even admit every image of the globe earth is "photoshop but it has to be". Satan like the bible says has "deceived the whole world" especially humans about what they live on and their flat earth realm.

@@tudoraragornofgreyscot8482 i grew up reading homestuck but these past 3 years i realized it's all lies and it's going to play a part in the final mystery Babylon quantum mysticism one world satanic religion in the end and is helping prepare people for the fallen angels which now we call aliens. no longer do they ride around in chariots like when they pretended to be ancient Greek gods and other deities they now ride around in flying space crafts and claim to come from other planets when they really come from other heavenly dimension outside our own. homestuck is essentially a false creation myth created by satan to prepare people for fallen angels i wish i was kidding but i'm not and this is coming from someone who spent countless school nights staying up late to read it, buying homestuck merch like the lil cal backpack, going to cons, etc. once you accept the truth of flat earth, YOU BECOME gamzee you can see the script of the story in which we live in, just like gamzee knew homestuck was not real and was a story destined for him to become lord English once you accept flat earth and God that will become you, free from the matrix. that's why gamzee is associated with the illuminate all seeing eye, when he stares into the eyes of lil cal as he encounters a truth so deep that it forces him to have to conform his actions to it. that's what will happen once you accept the truth of flat earth, you will have to accept God is 100% real and all your actions will be conformed to the truth and you will be able to see who are the deceivers and liars and actors in the world by simply accepting this one truth.

Homestuck alchemy makes a bit more sense when you realize what Grist is. Other than the grain definition, Grist is "useful material, especially to back up an argument." It's ideas, information, or (in a computer sense, since Sburb is a game) data, not physical objects. Alchemy transforms base metals into nobler ones. Alchemistry transforms ideas into tangible reality. optimisticDuelist and TexTalks have done great videos on Homestuck mechanics.

I would like to amend that Hermeticism isn't quite the study of the greek god Hermes. It actually centered around Hermes Trismegistus, a different but related legendary figure also tied to the god Thoth. Trismegistus supposedly penned the Corpus Hermeticum (and the Emerald Tablet, ever heard of the Emerald Tablet of Thoth?), and if that sounds complicated and not very cut and dry, that's exactly correct.

I posted a comment about this which might have got deleted as spam because it had a link; would you address the theory that Karako is Troll Antichrist? It's on the Homestuck Reddit; theory goes he has a lot of parallels to both Karkat and Lord English, and he causes the Dark Carnival visions. They suggest he's an Heir of Mind, which would fit with the theory that Marvus is a Lord of Mind (he's capable of inducing obsession with him in the entire empire, he's gotta be that powerful).

Do you have like a google doc or something where you have a list of all the sources you use in these videos? It just dawned on me the symbolism discussed would be great for developing one's own fantasy setting, but it's nice to know the ye-olde texts that actually laid the foundations for this or that mythology instead of some tumblr kids reimagining that gets passed as being as good as the original.
    Great vid as always!
