This is really late, but if you hadn't learned yet. The flute is up to the player's choice. You "bond" with your flute and choose which one you are meant to play for the rest of your time (or a long period of playing flute). And you should've searched up the sheet music to the piece to see what the music is like and what key it is in. Sorry if this wasn't any help.
