Michael, I have never seriously thought about Jazzmasters before tonight. What you played on the bridge opened my eyes and blew me away. My wife will be so happy when I announce again that there is just one more guitar I have to have.

I am in the same situation.
My wife has informed me that I have enough guitars! She has also pointed out that , should I discover another guitar I must have.
I should love it enough to live with it,--in the garage!🎸

For me, hearing Jimi Hendrix play a Jazzmaster and saying it was his "favorite guitar" started my interest (Pics of him playing it and audio are online. But can't remember if videos are available too?)

@@BillyTalentguitar1 The Smiths was the second song which is the neck pickup (normal/no rhythm circuit). He has been playing that middle position song for a while but I can't figure out what it is. There are many comments guessing but none have been correct (in my opinion). I'm thinking it is a Lemmo original that was inspired by two different songs. I believe I've listened to all of Lemmos stuff so I dont think it is something he has released.

I never thought about playing/buying a Jazzmaster. Last year Michael played that wonderful Lake Placid Blue Jazzmaster with matching peghead. I was so impressed, that I orderd the same design at the custom shop. These days it arrived and I am totally happy to have one. When I see Michael playing such a versatile instrument, I am absolutely confirmed.

For some reason the Jazzmaster has always lived in the shadows of the Strat and the Tele.
I think it's time it gets the recognition that it deserves.
Now that's a cool guitar. A perfect match to my strat too. Just wish I had the money and a little less travelling to do to pick it up. Just a few hours flight from me (in Sweden) to your store... ;)

I have always had an inexplicable prejudice against the Jazzmaster series. I have no idea where it appeared in my life. But this fixed that :D Great video!!!

Jazzmasters always make me flash back to my first guitar lessons (1964). Surf music was really popular & my instructor taught me some on his JM. Couldn't convince my Mom - she made me stick with my Stella. 😉

i had a jazzmaster back in the 70's and wish i had it back like so many others that i let go but to be young and dumb is normal i guess,i hope to see Norm back soon and hope he is doing well.all of you guys and gals have been doing a great job in his absence i'm sure he is proud.

Wow, what a glorious instrument. Whenever Michael plays I want whatever it is he's playing.
I came across this channel in October 2019 when I was thinking about learning an instrument. I was completely blown away by Lemmo’s playing. Michael single handedly inspired me to pick up a $60 guitar on craigslist and take music theory when I was in college, I was mixing and mastering music at the time as well. Thankfully I now own a few guitars, write my own guitar pieces, and have complete freedom in jamming whatever. Thanks for everything you’ve done on this channel Mike. Keep on inspiring!!

Your demos are always great. You have an amazing sense of rhythm and melody. But today was particularly epic. From The Smiths to shredding at the end. You put that Jazzmaster through its paces. Just a blast to listen to.
