Helix backpack works perfectly for me, super portable and lightweight. Fits the FM9, expression pedal, cables, etc.

I own one of those as well! Been dealing with some back issues lately and went with a road case to take the weight off.

Zack, whats up dude! Just got the FM9 delivered last night and looking for a pelican or Apache for it. There's also Nanuk. Been using an Apache for the AX8 and has been great. With the fm9 it's tought to find a case JUST for it alone kinda a double edged blade scenario- yea can fit more stuff in the case but now it's gonna be bigger and heavier. Thanks for making this video brother I'm highly considering these pelicans 1535, 1555, 1606, and 1615, 1595 ... Apache 5800 maybe? the pelican airs are just so lightweight that I can justify the higher pricepoint... thanks again
    Lou

Try my best to share what I've learned over the years! I'm still using this same exact case today and absolutely love it.

Nice review man. I've been thinking about picking up a Pelican Air 1525 for a pedalboard. I need to find a shop that carries them to size it up first.

I’ve always ordered from pelicancasesforless.com and I just measure beforehand accounting for leaving extra room for the foam protection. I can’t think of any stores nearby that would have them, but you could always grab one of the cheaper Apache cases from Harbor Freight for reference and then find the comparable size pelican case online!

I use the Gator G-TOUR PEDALBOARD-LGW ATA Wood Tour Case for Large Pedalboard, Im curious as to how much it weighs as its a little heavy. The simplicity of lift and play is nice however I use two pedals, a volume and expression, the board only fits one. Cables are in my mono guitar bag along with tick 2.0 bag. I would like to see your finished product in Pelican how its cut an organized. Being a fulltime airline pilot, Im still a little skidish on allowing ramp personel handle this expensive gear. Nice video

Thanks for watching Jorge! I would definitely trust this on an airline, given how fantastic Pelican‘s reputation is, and considering how much abuse my last case took, this one feels every bit as durable and weighs even less.

You say the pluck and pull foam starts 1 inch from the wall, so I’m curious what are the inner dimensions inside the case from one foam to the other foam wall? In other words, what is the maximum inner dimensions of the case if you take away all the pluck foam, and only leave the 1 inch foam around the border?

Why didnt you stack your equipment vertifically instead of flat ? that way you can accommodate more equipment

It's meant for flight and touring! It'll be safe to check in the bottom of a plane as it is airtight.

How did you end up putting the fm3 in it? Or did you?

I just put it in and stacked all the cables to one side along with my IEM and it stayed put!
