WWE 2K22: 16 Features To Make Ladder Matches "Hit Different!" 💥

- With the goal of WWE 2K22 being to "Hit Different", today's video takes a special look at the ladder match and 16 features 2K could introduce to help it "Hit Different" in WWE 2K22!
Some of the ideas and features suggested in the video include the addition of new features such as a "Spot Builder", the ability to pull down the briefcase whilst holding it and a new 2 person mini-game.
Also covered in the video are various features that were previously included in the series that I think would make for a great return.

Yes svr had great ladder moves and they need to bring back chair finishers and redo the way most weapons are swung or give each weapon a grapple

Title gauntlet match A:if the champion dosent complete the gauntlet tjey lose the title to who ever beats em
Title gauntlet match B: run the whole guantlet and who ever wins at the end gets the belt for example randy Orton and drew McIntyre start it off but if randy wins he will have to finish the rest of the gauntlet to keep the belt and same goes for the person who beats him next

I hope we will be able to choose which wrestlers are ringside in the lumberjack match and also if ones are allies of teammates of one of the people in the match then they will not attack that person

They didn’t even make it fun it’s unfair as hell i for real press the traingle and it didn’t even reverse it I timed it perfect but it did NOTHING
They honestly need to do something special for the tag line "it hits different" to make any sense. I'm talking new matches, moves, features, modes, weapons, customization options, everything. It's been 2 years. They've had the time most triple A games have to make a game that already has things able to be ported into the next one.
I feel like I messed up explaining that so to clarify, they've had 2 years to work on NEW things since everything they had in 2K20 could have simply been ported in/ fixed in short time.
Tbh If they fail at this game then it's no going back

@@kendallbailey1075 They've showed us absolutely nothing but a 5 second clip so how does it look like crap? But I will say, as much as I'd love those matches, everything but Wargames won't be in for the sole fact that they were one time "unmemorable", as some called them, matches.
Once they show us the gameplay trailer it will give us a ideas on whether it worth getting wwe2k22 or not

I really wish they'd allow that in 2K22, the current restrictions really limit the things you can do
I get that and it was a lot of fun but it was also a bloody pain when you think you’ve set it up perfectly and you’re a millimetre off and can’t grab the belt.
It’s crazy how many fun features they’ve removed from the games over the year, turning ladder matches into one of the many tedious match types to play.
I would like more top rope or middle rope finishers for example a tombstone of the middle rope just to give more options
Yeah Avalanche Tombstone Piledriver and Avalanche Chokeslam the one Kane does would be nice honestly
Another thing for ladder matches allow top rope finishers and signitures to be used to top of ladders such as Jeff's swanton bomb, or shawns diving elbow
If you haven't done it already, could you do a video like this for the Royal Rumble Match. And Elimination Chamber Match?

Wish we could have the real life render images back in the came when you select a superstar, like 2k15. And what I would add is a smart AI where if you’re playing the Royal rumble if you’re in a stable or a tag team, when your partner enters the rumble, they will run to your aid and help out. Or if you have a rival, they will charge after you.
No real life renders sucks if you love caw or download wrestlers like CM Punk, Kenny Omega or etc
@@Novakk2 Yeah real life renders are probably never coming back, no use to request that.
I feel like the perfect mix was 2k18. In-game renders so that CAWs looked natural, but each superstar had a unique pose that captured who they were, kinda like IRL renders.
I also want them to include the heritage trophy and the round system match at this point si think that they are just going to include the trophy as a title

One thing that I was thinking was when you have a finisher and you’re on top of the ladder the game gives you the option to do your diving finisher when at top of the ladder for me it’s really hard to do finishers off the ladder so if 2K added this feature it would be so much better
There needs to be a lot more downtime, strugle to climb the ladder.
We need there to be a reason/benifit to wearing down opponent as currently a match can end in 2mins if you master the mini game
If i suplex opponent off a ladder i shouldnt just pop back up

Honestly, I’m a fan of simulation and I appreciate both, but honestly even the arcade ones from the old days got tedious because there was almost no idea about the opponent and the progress of the match.

The latter-and-object-stacking reminds me of a WWE-take on Fortnite: build it up, then battle it out!
I'd get 2K22 if it had THAT, right off the bat!
Especially if the AI could build structures both with, and against, you, complete with run-ins that knocked either one or both contraptions down to throw a wrench in folks's plans!
It would add so much to ladder matches to have all these things. Id LOVE the ability to set up ladder bridges in ring or use tables as bridges so much.
More freedom in general would definitely allow for more crazy moments to make the ladder matches better 👌🏼
I get why ladders and tables were fixed into preset positions, so moves would map out better and you would always hit the table.
And if this method had of been expanded to allow and recognize when two ladders are placed side by side to allow for a different set of possible grapples, it would have been much cooler and better received.
Unfortunately 2k never expanded on the ladder match to increase the functionality.
The only other thing I would add is sometimes people get up to quick from a big fall. Realism could be improved, with a payback that goes into a cutscene when activating it, allowing for ONE last minute save per match.
I think the spot building would be a great idea, my take on it would be to have everyone in the match work towards it, so you have to get the tables, ladders and whatever else to set up the spot... you know... like what they do in actual wrestling.
Don’t limit us to where we can put ladders because quite often I go to put the ladder in the middle of the ring and my wrestler puts it against the ropes instead. I definitely want to be able to put a ladder in another one. Also they should add multiple sizes of ladders, so a small one, a medium sized one and a giant ladder like the one you place between the ring apron and barricade. They should also make it so doing moves onto ladders does more damage and isn’t just treated like a normal move. Also let us prop a ladder on the top turnbuckle and ring post so you can ram your opponent face first into it.
WWF Raw 2 had 2 different sized ladders depending on which one you were on you could do different moves its a shame the ai was to broken to climb them tho 😂

I hope that your opponents stay down for a while after getting hit. Really annoying how they get up almost instantly after getting hit with a move.
Or they reverse your Irish whip after you’ve just put them through the announce table. I also find I get stuck on roll out much more often then the AI does and frequently get tossed straight back out after I’ve recovered in ladder matches. The AI often just stands there while someone is grabbing the briefcase or title.

I’d love to have the ability to use diving finishers off the ladder. If I’m not mistaken, svr had that. Now it’s your diving moves from the top rope. It’d be perfect for guys like balor, rvd, ricochet, hardy

Excellent video Smacktalks! I really like some of the ideas you have here and some of them can even be elaborated on more like the idea of having people still being able to go for the championship while hanging above it I think that one in a more difficult position to grab the championship/object you’re reaching for you can have the ladder meter speed up so that it’s very difficult for you to grab it but you still have that opportunity. I also really like the idea of two people playing tug-of-war for the championship/object in the match and I think this could lead to some really cool animations for when people fall off and you could even make it reset half the markings possibly depending on where the match is by time. Great ideas here!
I'd personally like if the ladders on the money in the bank and tlc arenas being interactable (climbing up and jumping off, using as a weapon, etc.)

I want the Weapon physics from Svr 2011
Further to rope physics I'd love to see ladders and chairs rebound off them if you swing and miss your opponent. Like Angle did once, the chair hit the rope and bounced back and hit him in the face.

I would include every one of those improvements to MITB
Creation Changes I want:
1. Choice to put long hair into ponytails
2. Change out a wrestlers face paint design
3. Change a wrestlers hair/facial hair to a style they once wore
4. Attires having their own entrances
5. Change a wrestlers Tattoos/Body Paint Out whether it be replace them or remove them
(Edit)6. The option to put tuck Ponytails into hats or put ponytails through hats
Smackdown vs Raw 2011 had the best physics system. I remember being able to put ladders in crazy positions

I would love to see more catching finishers especially with finishers that are strong punches or kicks. Maybe like someone goes for a spring board and gets caught in a black mass or a spinning back fist
It's so sad that the absolute majority of features has been in past games and also added way more realism to the game. 2k drove this franchise to the ground. All they had to do was release 2k14 with better graphics and people would've been happy

Or how about the option with the rope physics where you drag your opponent while standing them against the ropes tie them in the ropes or or dragging them to the ropesand crotching them
A different pulling down the title belt animation and holding it like most winners do in ladder matches in real life
one of the problems in wwe 2k20 is that when you set up a table the opponents constantly move the table that needs to be fixed i would like to see a feature in wwe 2k22 where you can just go out into the crowd during every match

We the WWE Universe want realism, authenticity & ingenuity included in these games and the games that follow. We need more Enviormental intraction. Ability to climb up then jump/ leap from the Titontron, light truss, entrance sets, & barricades. Throw, toss, launch, spear, gore, tackle each other through the LED board. Rip up a section of the exterior wrestling matt surrounding the ring, tear up the canvas, inside the ring to slam one another onto the exposed framework. Toss, launch, Irishwhp each other into the steel steps in various ways. Against the barricades & announce desks. Toss, irishwhip, through each other into the time keepers area. Grabbing their chairs & microphones. Aswell as the title belt, ringbell & time keepers hammer to utilize as weapons. Toss one another into the first row of the audiance. Grabbing the spectators canes, crutches, walkers, replica belts, even their chairs. Cutscene to us taking their beverage. Take a drink then spit it in one or the others face or pour it over one or the others head. Fight in the audience without restrictions. Grab items from fans as they clear the area for us to fight in. Climb the balcony. Lay one another onto an errect table and jump /leap off the banister onto. Fight each other while climbing the steps. To upper levels. Pummel each other along the landings. Fight in the hallways. Enter bathrooms, consession stands, the merchandise & promo area etc. Lean one another against colums & support beams. Slaming each other against repeatedly. Lean each other against closed doors to spear through or to pummel each other. Push and pull over the rafters ontop of one another. Utilize inadament objects along the way. Such as utility carts & equipment boxes. Throw them at each other, push them into one another, slam each other onto. Jump off of or simply use as battering rams etc. Grab trash cans, waste baskets, to hit each other with. Place over each others head and strike it repeatedly with a baseball bat, kindostick, chair etc. Lean each other against the loading dock doors to pummel each other against. Lift it up then close it onto one another. Launch, toss, irishwhip each other into it. Fight through the parking garage. Interacting with parked vehicles. Open doors slamming each other into them. Open trunk/hood slamming it onto our limbs or head. Dump each other into the trunk. Get innovative! Such as slam each other's head into mirrors, windows, open the door and shut it on each others hand/ head. Fight outside in the parking lot. Slam/lean each other against the tech trailer, though each other in the dumpster etc. Battle all the way back to the ring. More omg moments. Lean folded tables, ladders, broken section of the guardrail/ barricade even the vanity plate off the announce desk against the exterior ring frame then slam each other onto repeatedly. Slam each others head into the camera lens. Slam each others heads against the exterior ring posts. Perform submissions around the ring posts. Such as a figure four, hells gate, triangle choke, torture rack etc. Wrap each others limbs against the said post repeatedly. Perform moves along the exterior ring apron. Run up jump/leap off the exterior turnbuckles. Jump/ leap off the top ropes while weilding weapons. Perform manuvers such as. RVD'S vanterminator, $hane O' Mac's coast to coast. While either of us is sitting in the corner. Place a smashed trashcan or folded chair infront of us then baseball slide, low dropkick, cannonball into it. Perform chair-con- to's & guillotines with folded chairs. Perform ddts, piledrivers, drop toe holds, various cutters onto errect & folded chairs, steel steps etc. Both in and outside of the ring. Line up errect chairs/tables anywhere in or outside of the ring to perform strong grapples off the top turnuckles onto them. Tie each others limbs in the ropes even trap one another in between the cage and ropes to pummel. Grate each others face against the chain link fence revealing a crimson mask. While inside steel cage matches, hiac, elimination chamber. Place a weapons wheel inside hiac. Give us the ability to perform those acrobatic, areo dynamic moves off the ropes that we see the lucha libre and the guys from 205 perform. Pay homage to the past by adding the following weapons. Hacksaw Jim Duggan's 2x4. Big Bossman's nightstick, Junkyard Dog's chain, Sensational Sherry's stilleto, Baby Doll's hairspray, Rick Martel's fragrance spray gun, Jim Cornett's tennis racket etc. Include more, WWF, WCW, AWA, NWA, & ECW legends. Quit adding 3 to 6 of the same person with different hairstyles or attires. Then count them as characters. Add more options by pressing ↕ ↔+❌ with weapons. Up strikes head, down strikes the midsection, left strikes the waste, right strikes the back. Fix the graphics of the weapons have the kindo sticks splinter, the chairs dent then bend. Cut promos with those from all 4 brands including those from the past. Mean Gene Okerlund, Lord Alfred Hayes, Gordon Solie, Eric Bishoff, Sean Mooney etc. add real as well as guest referees. Stop using generic looking npc's. Include those from the past. Earl/ Dave Hebnar, Tim White, Tommy Young, Randy Anderson, Nick Patrick, Charles Robison, Mike Chiota, Scott Armstrong etc. Add commentators from all 4 brands including guest commentators as well as these from the past. Monsoon/Henan, Ventura /McMahon, Solie/ Caudle not just Cole/Saxton /Graves. These choices alone would dramatically improve showcase mode and the games in general. More moves not as options to change, but durring actual playtime. Old school tag wrestling gave us this feature. Where you hold different directions ↕↔then press A. We got like 20 moves in either direction to chose from. DDT, brainbuster, body slam, suplex etc. Not just the two we currently get by pressing up or holding direction. Last but not least. More match types. Thumbtacks & barbed wired matches. Casket, burried alive, ambulance, lumberjack/ lumber jill, I quit, run the guantlet, inferno & wargames etc. If they add these things along with what you addressed in this video. This game truly can live up to the slogan. Just Hits Harder! Thanks for reading. Now make a video so it will go viral.

I just want the A.I. to be able to make any sort of use out of things like spots and the entrance stage. The A.I. never bothers with that kind of thing and never ascends a ladder if it's not under the title/briefcase. It's been programmed purely to win without mixing things up, making it predictable and not the most riveting thing to watch.

Honestly I like these ideas actually hopefully 2K messages you or let's you know in a way they'll take your ideas in consideration or they'll use them
They need to figure out a way to separate Sim from arcade.
Sim matches ...weight detection, which would help separate power wrestlers from the speedy agile ones ..... limb damage that affects the match and players with a more dramatic submission system that makes the battle to stay healthy vs damaged more intense.... stamina from long matches that help with the drama of a finishing move or something.....

I Think Best Thing To Get Better Physics In The Game would Be to Introduce Ragdoll
Once a Character Gets Hits with a Move The Ragdoll Starts Working It Can Make Huge Moments jn The Game And Also Make Matches so much fun.

Between TLC/Ladder matches and Hell in a Cell matches in the newer games, it's like 2K were actively trying to make the modes as not fun as possible compared to older games.

All of these ideas are amazing i hope all of them make it to 2k22 especially the wedged or horizontally placed ladder but also the chair action moves from past games like svr 2011 with the springboard chair move

I hope wwe2k22 with many different matches to make the games different and i hope they come up with new ideas to make the games more reslistic and finally get rid of the glitches and hope it not the repeat of wwe2k20. And one things i would like to see is explosive titantron or other equipment that just my opinon so what do ya think and what are your ideas

Another thing they should add is when someone is on the top rope or ladder and there are a lot of people together they should all go down like irl not just 1
What needs to come back is being able to stand on the announce table and be able to use the bell as a weapon. I would also like to see the symphony of destruction match in the game.

All 2k has to do is keep all of the ladder options in the game and expand on that because what's the point of removing features that are fun to the game

It isn't just ladder matches, all speciality matches are boring (HIAC, cage match, Elimination Chamber etc) because there is hardly anything to do in regards to environmental grapples/mini games etc

I want the double knock out, prematch strength test, injuries during match, exhausted fighting like they used to have in the old games where to long the fighter will be exhausted and perform sluggish and slow sometimes taking longer to get up after dealing damage to opponent.
can you remove the placement restrictions in wwe 2k22. and the placement for the ladders also and ladder corner restrictions and placeing wrestlers in between ladders also.
I really want to see the mechanics of svr2011 to come the tlc matches were so explosive and controllable, the tables would break in multiple ways the ladder had massive hit detection, there wasn't invisible walls, the ropes were interactive when falling off the ladder, you could aim every move to land on a table or ladder and the sells would be different, tables broke lay down, you could stack them and they'd explode, there was no restrictions to how you fell or table not breaking and ladders just moving when being slammed on them

I wish it was like ufc where u could miss a kick to the head and hit the body and it still does damage but in 2k if u for example went for a body kick and it hit their leg it did no damage

In terms of ladder matches, 2K should bring back the ability to perform diving finishers off of a ladder. The fact that I can play as Jeff Hardy in a ladder match and not be able to have him do a Swanton off the top of it is a sin

I haven't played a ladder match since the days of SD SYM and HCTP. That tells you everything you need to know.
