Excellent. Your short video is a perfect example of how all educational videos should be: clear, focused on topic, thorough, and lacking (YES!!) the too-usual background music. Nothing missing, nothing extra. Perfect. Thanks.
I love this. Simple solution to a big problem: how to cut larger parts on a small machine, just move the die/part and press again. These are things I dont think about until i get my hands on a machine and try it hands on. Excellent.
I have an arbor press and had no idea that you can use the arbor press as a die clicker. Thanks for sharing and the demo. And like you said, using the arbor press as a die cutter is much much cheaper than buying an expensive die clicker press. Much appreciated Manyon from Canada
Great video! I've been recently looking at clicker presses and am mortified by the prices and simply can't understand why they are so expensive. This looks like a great resource for those of us not in production settings.
I place a magnet on the shaft of the press that allows me to keep my presser plate in place while raising and lowering the shaft. It allows me to use a variety of dies and punches such as hole punches, belt end punches, stitching chisels, etc.
Buddy Hutchins it is about 1”x2”x3/8” block magnet. You can get them at Lowe’s, Hobby Lobby, Home Depot, etc. I put it on the bottom of the shaft with my homemade presser plate beneath. Works like a charm.
yes great idea did remodify the sprockets use 2 press allow me to cut larger pieces and add a plant on the bottom of both presses made a handle i could equal pull down have one i put my band mark on the leather too
Thank you for the great video! Been looking into the arbor press for just a while now. Never considered it for leather but can see huge advantage of one. Very informative and great video, thanks again!
Thin Leather Design Where did you get the magnets for you bobbin holder and what are the measurements of them? What size and length are the bolts in your arbor press? Where can I get the replacement rod made at? Thanks for a very informative video! ❤️
this is an awesome idea. i have the same press that i use to put my logo on my projects. been wanting to use it as a clicker press but wasnt sure how to make it work. thank you for the great video. where did you buy the clicker die and the board? weaver?
Well done, friend. This gives me some great options and ideas for something that could be contained in an apartment sized area for leather crafting small items like you depict. Thanks, and SUBSCRIBED!
Harbour Freight no longer has the 20% thingy I have their club card and still had to pay full price. They do have one of the best breaker bars I have owned for 12 bucks!! Others sell for 30 and are crap. ... Cut the end off and you will have a nice handle to boot.
Turkey Creek Knives thank you for watching the video. I’ll put the link up in the description this afternoon, but you can get the cutting board in any Tandy Leather store.
Where did you get that large cutting block that you use on the arbor press? Amazon only has a small block. I’m using an arbor press the same as you are. That size block is something I’m interested in purchasing. Please advise. Thank you. Richard
Hi first of all thank you for watching the video. Where I get the dies is in the description of the video. I tell him the dimensions and he makes them. 👍🏽
I got my arbor press but I’m i struggling to find a place to get an extended handle made and the metal plate. Help! What type of place did you go to for that?
Edward olivares no bother what so ever.... it’s just I don’t have a pair of jeans I can experiment with... just have two pair 😂. But as soon as I’ll get a chance to go to the 2nd hand store and buy one I’ll try it out.
Edward olivares hey just found a pair of jeans and the dyes cut right threw them with no problem 👍🏽. If you want to DM on Instagram I can show you the picture
