FENDER YOSEMITE TELECASTER PICKUPS IN A HIGHWAY ONE!

Fender Yosemite Telecaster pickups swop from stock A3 hot pickups.
The word Yosemite (derived from yohhe'meti, "they are killers" in Miwok) historically referred to the name that the Miwok gave to the Ahwahneechee People, the resident indigenous tribe. Previously, the region had been called "Ahwahnee" ("big mouth") by its only indigenous inhabitants, the Ahwahneechee.

I put some Yosemite’s in mim tele and really fell in love with the tone . The are the standard issue on the entry US model that wasn’t available in bright white

Did the neck fit in properly? I found it was a few millimetres taller than a usual tele neck pup. The routing was a little shallow on my Tele. I had to drill into the bed.

I put these pickups in a Firefly guitar and had to widen the neck pick guard opening. I think that pickup is taller and wider than others.

turn up the amp please or mic it closer... about half of what we're hearing is the sound of your picking; it doesnt really give a good sense of the pickups

You don't use a pick? You look like me picking. Well, not really, I alternate thumb and index, and I flick the strings with my nail of my index a lot, then pop the strings with the flesh of what ever finger is handy for the up stroke. I do all kinds of wierd shit, anything to NOT use a pick. I wish i could use a pick but they feel so unnatural to me. Its like being a beginer again when i use one. I just sound like hell.

I stopped in 2010. I hate them. Feels more natural without them.
The idea of hitting the strings with a thin piece of nylon you hold between your thumb and index finger is absurd to me now!
Obviously it’s hard to do speedy metal shredding but I’m a grown man now and gone past that widdle!
I made a conscious decision to stop in 2010 and never looked back!
