Thanks!!! The yosemite pu surprise me a lot. I got them on my Fender Jazzmaster American Performer and I love their tone. You can hear that guitar here in my channel ☺️
Huge tones! I watched a video comparison between American Telecaster series and I was impressed by the sound of the Professional one. I think I'll put a pair of these Yosemite pickup on my CV '50 Tele...great playing, sir!
Did you happen to do sound comparisons between these and the stock CV 60s Custom Tele pickups? I’m tempted by this video, but I think half of that is your IR and playing lol. Might wanna go with some Pure Vintage 64s, these Yosemite’s, or just keep the stock pickups and try some different pickup heights. I’m wanting a little more growl, a bit better note separation, and the slightest bit more clarity - but the stocks aren’t bad at all. Decisions decisions 🤔
I sure can hear the improvement . However, having tried both the CV and the American Performer, I'd say you cant make another Tele sound like the Performer even with the Performer pickups. I really wish you could as I am about to do the same upgrade. For one thing different body woods, different fretboard woods, bridge and nut also...it all adds up. The sum total of its parts.
I think I want to put these in my squirer, Is the string spacing the same I wonder? I am looking for something that sounds good for chicken picken and blues/funk.. I would like to upgrade the bridge eventually too.. I think fender spacing is wider on the bridge or maybe it morden vs. vintage.. I don't know.. I heard someone talk about spacing .. I am still learning all this tele stuff.. Hopefully these pickups will work for me.. I am trying to find the best pickups in this price range.. Any suggestions are appreciated, Thanks!
Mine is an Affinity.. Competition orange.. Lol.. Because is had the best neck.. But just wanted to add that because I don't know if the classic vibe has different specs for the bridge and all..
Hi, I purchased a Squier Telecaster Classic Vibe 60s Custom a couple of months ago and I found the neck pu too muddy and dark. Fo you think these yosemite can be better? thanks
Hi! The yosemite is a little more brighter but not much. For my tele I found the perfect neck pick up with the DiMarzio DP172C Twang King Series. Creamy, warm but with a high end strong, clear and defined.
If you mounted the neck pickup into the body (Like the originals) rather than the pickguard....it would sound much better. Also you need to back the pickups away from the strings to get rid of the "thump".
Great sounds,I will be be putting a set in my squire tele for sure.
Me either
Nice guitar and playing. I’ve got a set of Yosemite pickups in my CV Mary Kaye and absolutely love them. They’re just the right amount of hot.

For me the Yosemite’s are the best vintage-like pickups of Fender
