I work at walmart and a customer came in asking to see a blur, I allowed them to see it, after getting it back before putting it in its display case I played with it a bit myself. Immediately after they left I rang myself out and was pretty satisfied, knife feels great for the price.
Yeah I’ve got two blurs. They’re not cheap and they’re not the most expensive knives I have but I like them the most. They’re different from other knives in a good way.
Been using mine for probably 6-7 years, opening packages at work and doing work in and outside the house. I’ve got some nice higher end Benchmade and Civivi knives but I always come back to the blur when I need to get down to business. WELL worth money.
A well-done review by someone that actually uses their knife so refreshing to see that it's the most beautiful Kershaw knife I've ever seen with all the pocket wear
Great review, love mine too. Work in engineering at Campbell Soup so much respect. Folks don't realize food processing is a difficult job, extreme temps both cold and hot, wet conditions, usually in a giant concrete sunless vault of a building 10 hours plus a day, the product you are responsible for can often kill many people if not processed properly and the list goes on. Props to you and good fortune in your career.
I just picked one up. They sell them at Wally World for like $70. I’ve never cared much for Kershaw knives but after looking at a few they had in the display case I said let me see that green Kershaw. Took it and flipped it open with the thumb stud and about flew out of my hand. lol. that thing rockets out. But is smooth and sturdy. And seen where it was made in USA which got me more excited. I also like the taper in the thumb studs. Your thumb just fits it right everytime and you don’t have to fiddle around to get the right angle to deploy it, your thumb just lands on stud and deploys it quickly everytime. And learned that you can actually deploy the knife with just a quick flip of the hand without the thumb studs which I like. I like this knife and it will now become part of my EDC. Also that wear on the handle gives it character. Nice patina! 👍
I had this knife from 16-23 it came with me thru highschool to my first job at a car dealership as a lot guy til i put it down one day and someone stol it. Here i am at 27, i just bought a leek yesterday and ended up going back today to grab a blur. Its just such a good fkin knife. Who cares abkut the 150 tag it is such a solid knife i used mine as a hammer, carving tool, cutter, everything ur not spos to use it for and it held up. Screws never got loose. 10/0 recommend this knife every time. The leek is good just a bit small for me
Good review! Had mine for 10 years! Sold it cause it still worked good and now I am getting another with upgraded steel! Definitely a working mans knife! 👍
Picked up one yesterday I have around 50 different knives I really like the blur I love the angle of the thumb studs fits my big Ole thumb 👍 perfectly I do wish it had a deeper pocket clip other than that this one is a keeper GREAT REVIEW I like watching reviews by someone that actually uses their knives that's what they are made for
I carry this same blur at work everyday and I use it hard daily at work and it can take a beating. I have much more higher end knives and I keep going back to the blur for some reason. Great deal of a knife
Been using my Blur for over 2 years. I work in construction and use my knife several times a day. It’s a great blade for the price. I touch up the edge every couple of weeks and it just keeps going. Your experience is much like mine. I’m glad to see it. Thanks
Appreciate the long term review. There are a lot of variables on this knife I wouldn't usually prefer, like the insert liner, trac tec, DLC blade coating, and even the spring assist. It's great to see all of those are holding up over time and some hard use. Really good value in Kershaw's midrange knives!
I played with a Blur at a local shop today and really liked it. I came home to watch a few reviews which is how I found your video. I just ordered one with M4 blade steel and blue handle! I have a bunch of Benchmade, Cold Steel and Spyderco knives but I have a dirty job and feel like I should leave them at home. Hopefully the Blur will fill the roll I need as a tough, mid sized work knife. I have to cut rope and tarp quite often out in the field so I’m looking forward to the traction inserts on the handle.
I bought the s30v blur and just the other day realized that if you carry tip up, you pull back the thumb studs act like the emerson wave feature, i.e. self opening.
Im really liking kershaw rn and their budget lineup of knives cause rn i have a emerson and kershaw colab of the wave opening knives which I'm loving so far but the blur had caught my eye for awhile so I'm just trying to save up for it (im a teen so dont got much money)
Just got this knife from Walmart and with the spring test I think I can say the spring didn't loose any power. This is my new EDC after someone stole my Spyderco paramilitary 2. Also i immediately noticed I felt the blur more in my pocket it's a bit heavier than the spyderco.
I've had 2 that failed due to lockup. Super weak locks in my experience. A small strike on the back due to me slipping during a cut and accidentally wacking it on surrounding objects made the locks fail easily. Luckily I only got a small cut from 1 but still
Just so you guys know, dont leave your blur in the summer sun or in the car in the summer. That rubber grips adhesive will melt off and the rubber weirdly inflates. My wife loves her blur but left it in the car. Still work but the rubber is coming off now. Need to get her a new one
My EDC is a KA-BAR Mule. At work, I use a little KB Dozier Design folder. It's such a cute little knife, I just love it. I also have a standard, KB fixed blade combat knife, but my favourite is my BK & KA-BAR tacticool combat Bowie knife. It cost a little over 200 bucks, and it's arguably the least useful of all my knives, but I love it so much. I gave all my other knives away, but every time I have some extra scratch to spend frivolously, I want to buy another knife. I just bought an $80 Kershaw a month or two ago, and ended up giving it away, because as cool as the pseudo switch blade assist thing was, it didn't feel natural. Getting good with that knife would require me to unlearn way too much. But this Kershaw Blur looks pretty cool. I know I'll probably end up giving it away, but it could also be the best knife ever. If I don't buy it, I'll never know.
Sidebar, I hear you on the pocket clip, but sometimes they come in handy. I used to carry a last resort/uber concealed carry folder clipped to the inside of my fly. Even if you set off the metal detector, they pat you down, the wand goes crazy around your balls, they check your waist band, they feel up your inner thighs, but they never pat your Johnson. They just figure it's a false positive or that your zipper or whatever set it off. I'm telling you, crotch carry is nothing to sneeze at.
Now that I finished watching the video, it's not the knife for me. I like that I can't close my KA-BARs one handed. I'm so glad I stumbled across your channel and watched this video, because everything you love about this knife is why I hate it. I would have ordered a Blur, waited with so much excited anticipation for it to arrive, and then I would have been so angry and disappointed that I wouldn't have even given it away. I would have just chucked it into the dumpster at work.

They're functional well-built knives for the price. I've been very pleased with mine. Thanks for the comment!

Thank you sir! I appreciate it, and same to you!

Ive carries mine for 6 years, just bought the magnacut version and swapped the blade to my old one. Its an amazing knife.
Knife looks good with the wear on it. It’s nice seeing knives that actually get used.
I agree. I love a good well used knife!

I was pleasantly surprised myself how well those features have held up. Thanks for the comment!

my brother uses this everyday and loves it
Just bought one. I have the gerber fast release . I love that one as well
I really like your review. Seems like
a very good EDC for hard use on
Construction project.
I've sure been happy with mine. Hopefully yours will be as good to you. Thanks for the comment man!
Thanks for the review ! Hello from Poland 🇵🇱
Kershaw is highly underrated, especially the USA made ones... I have a random leek as my EDC, will buy a Blur on sale next.
Great and practical review! Love the wear on your knife; looks really cool.
That looks sweet! Also the way the coating faded😍
Yeah it's held up great! And the dents and dings just add character
I bought the s30v blur and just the other day realized that if you carry tip up, you pull back the thumb studs act like the emerson wave feature, i.e. self opening.
I just got mine from Amazon for $75., Olive Green & Black Tech-Trac like yours, I love it! 😎👍
I really love this review and thanks to your review I bought the knife. I’d love to see an update in a few more years. Also subscribed
Thank you! Hope you get as much use out of yours as I have mine
Excellent thank you
Thank you for this information.
I've being eyeing one of these up and I just remembered your channel somehow and your video convinced me to buy it
I hope it treats you as good as mine has me! Thanks for the support my friend
My first blur cost me $48 at Walmart. I love that knife so much I bought another just like your review knife a green blur. It goes everywhere with me.
Every thing you said I agree solid blade hands down!
A couple weeks ago I got the black tanto Blur. Loved it so much i got this one. Now I already have about 10 knives 🤣
Awesome review, thanks brother!
Thanks for the support!
Great shirt brother! Enjoyed the review; mine is a winner too. May God bless.
It's my favorite edc knife. It's a solid knife, simple and works for me. Love the video brother. Thanks 👍

Lol that's funny I bought the same knife from Walmart after someone stole my paramilitary 2.
I believe at Walmart they are going for 68.00 August 8 2023
Still is just got one
Just got an olive one today for the same price. Definitely wasn't planning to spend 70 but no way I was walking away from that deal
I've had 2 that failed due to lockup. Super weak locks in my experience. A small strike on the back due to me slipping during a cut and accidentally wacking it on surrounding objects made the locks fail easily. Luckily I only got a small cut from 1 but still
Dang that's no bueno. I haven't had any issues out of mine and I've abused it a ton.
I never had any lockup issues with mine. 10 years of hard use! Still worked good when I sold it.

Good to know! Thanks!
Car in the sun can get 140+ degrees! In AZ you can fry and egg and bacon on the dash! Warp your sunglasses etc if you leave them in their unprotected!

Nothing like a legitimate long term review, good stuff I have a few things I’ll eventually review but want some Time and hard use on it before hand
Those are my favorite reviews too!
How's it holding up now?
NVM, thanks man!
How did you Etch your initials into the blade?
With a tool engraver. I put my initials on all of my work tools. You can get them for like $15 bucks on Amazon
@@hillbillydude I gotcha, cool man. I appreciate it!
Can you swap side on the pocket clip? Or is it only that 1 side.
Only one sided
It hasn't "held up' for shit!!! Look at that awful finish
BS! Still works, don't it? Who cares about the aesthetics? 🤣
Sonit hasn't held up
