I have two Blurs. I Avoided buying one for a long time because it seemed an old school design and looked a bit clunky. It’s a knife whose beauty is in its function. In hand its comfortable, and confidence inspiring. The Trac tape is a cool feature and adds to the knife’s utility and safe handling. The real star is that blade, so functional and sharp with that hollow grind. The S30V model for under $100 is the true bargain, but the 14C28 blade is no slouch. (You have a focused, matter of fact presentation that is refreshing.)
Knife looks so small in those bear paw hands of this big fella. Everything he says is spot on. Great knife with many variations to choose from. My edc for over 10 years.
Hey man I've been carrying one of these kershaws for about 10 months now since I saw your video I love this knife and I appreciate your turning me on to it I would have never known about it if it had not been for your video so keep up the good work and keep Rocking In The Free World
Excellent review from a working man's perspective. I use my knife a lot, everyday, and I was seriously considering the Blur. I already have great experiences with Kershaw...Thank you for helping me with my decision.
Love my Blur! Organic design and fits my hand perfectly and comfortably. I have the glassbreaker version with partially serrated blade. I haven't found any other knife I'd rather carry.
Nice review I’ve had mine for a few months and I got it because my grandpa has carried his for like 4 or 5 years and I decided to buy one and I really like it and it’s a good knife
My favorite knife. I own four. Every one has the tip broken off and one a spring bar broken as well. I bought a Gerber AO and the dang thing is made in China! I would buy another Kershaw Blur but I’m tired of breaking the tips off. It’s not like I’m rough on them I only use them to for emergency use i.e. self defense. But, if you pry on ANYTHING with it it’s like a toothpick. Snap. I know you can send them in for repair and new blades but I haven’t done it yet. I’m thinking maybe a better option. 🇺🇸
Great review. I have had at least one blur since I found them years ago. I currently have 5 different models. At one time I owned 12. Sold some to raise money. but I love this knife. So I will never be without one. For me, it is the perfect knife. Fits my hand perfectly. Speedsafe is awesome. I also love the thumb stud. My only complaint is the pocket clip. I use it about 50% of the time. Or I just put it in my pocket like you do. M favorite one is the one I bought with the S30v. I will eventually buy a deep pocket clip. They sell them on eBay. I never understood why people do not love the Blur. But that is what makes things interesting. We all have different tastes. But what is there not to like? I also don't understand the hate for liner locks. If you are doing something that makes that lock fail, you shouldn't have been doing it anyways. Unfortunately, common sense is no longer common. It is an endangered species.
Couldn't agree more! And yeah I took the clip off of mine shortly after making this video and it's far more comfortable to carry in my pocket now. Thanks for the comments!
Wow, incredible, I have the EXACT same problem! Sentimental value in my 110 which I had for 35 years, people at work never carry knives but ALWAYS need to borrow them for something, but if you hand them the 110 they: 1) have absolutely no understanding or appreciation what a good knife is, 2) use it improperly in a way that would damage it, 3) are so damn stupid and lazy they can't even figure out how to use the unlocking mechanism and hand it back to you blade-out, they're like "whatever". It gets me so damn mad I started handing out a dull serrated steak knife, the barbarians don't even deserve a Kershaw Blur!!! Then they sit there and saw away at baling wire with a knife instead of wire cutters, which validates why I never hand out my good knife.
I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only person with this problem lol. I hear you man, it's pathetic how many people don't know how to handle a knife, or even appreciate a good one!
@@hillbillydude They're like the kids in grade school who never have a pen or pencil and always want yours and give it back after they've chewed on it.
I have the Clash because I can't afford to keep replacing the Blur. Absent-minded people are to the knife industry what alcoholics are to bars: Guaranteed repeat customers. Which is why I've forced myself to use the clip. It's a habit to make me put away my knife in the same spot every time as soon as I'm done with it. I often subconsciously reach down and tap to ensure it's there. If it's not, I'll retrace my steps in my mind and (frantically) go back to look for it. It's usually sitting open right where I last used it. BTW, the Golden Rule applies when it comes to lost knives. Karma loves to stomp out those who declare Finders-Keepers.
Very very very good review, you're a great speaker 👍. I bought mine off of Amazon, and to be honest, I kinda thought it was a counterfeit. I had to watch around on UA-cam to get some more Intel LOL. I'm convinced that mine is an authentic model 😎😊👍.
It's not technically a spring. It's a torsion bar. It's a round bar of spring steel just FYI. Really like your review style. Will sub and hope you do more gear stuff
For something that is more EDC friendly I would say it's a good choice. It's so much lighter. After being used to a 110 the blur almost feels non-existent in my pocket. And it's really solid made. I've pushed it's limits a lot at work. Holds a decent edge and the speed assist opening is spoiling me lol
The same people that find it weird and voice their opinion on "why do people carry knives" almost certainly will come back to you within 24-48 hours needing a knife. I'll loan my loaner knife if their genuine and nice, now when were talking those prude, snobby people, well....welcome to my shit list. Have fun finding something useful other than my knife. All because it was "weird" or "You shouldn't be carrying a knife"

Lost my blur two months ago, absolutely sick . Buying a new one tonight. Best knife I have ever carried. Good job kershaw.

I have the same model. Love it. Smooth, sexy, and american made. My local walmart is selling them for under 70 dollars
.....Nice looking knife. I like the style of the blade. You do a very good, down to earth honest review..and I appreciate that. Many thanks...

I know I’m late to the party I just bought one and I love it so far.
I have owned the blur before, amazing knife! Idk what happened to it, but I replaced it with the leek which is amazing little work knife.
I have a blacked out blur and love it plain edge is my go two blade
You're awesome dude
Thanks man!

I can speak for Kershaw's CS. After my second torsion bar broke in my Blur, I sent in a request for two. They sent me 10!
Great review, i really dig your review style
Just ordered one for my best friend's birthday, hope he likes it. Nice review 👌
I've got the green one I use it for work I just looked up videos on the knife

Wow! Another tip-down carry dude! Thought I was the only one.
my favorite edc as well, great review man
Thank you sir!
I have the same knife with serrations That I like to carry
Excellent review.
The pocket clip on my blur was extra soft , would always bend out then it broke off , its now in the non EDC pile .
They make aftermarket pocket clips in titanium.

Dope review! Gonna bag me a blur!
Its kinda funny. I carry a buck 110 and was looking to upgrade to the blur

Sounds like i need to get me one of those! So it does hold a sharp edge for some time then?
@@buckwild6587 yes sir. Ive found it to be pretty similar to the 110 as far as the retention goes.

Thank you!
Can you clean the blade with warm water and soap
Absolutely. I've washed mine dozens of times and it hasn't hurt it a bit.
