- Hi and welcome! My name is Melanie and I love to crochet plushies. Today I am unboxing over $700 worth of yarn to restock my yarn stash for the year! Even though I already have so much yarn, you can never have too much 😉 Since I receive so many questions about what yarn I use, this was the perfect opportunity to finally share and reveal to all of you where exactly I purchase my yarn from. There are so many different varieties of chenille yarn and these are my most commonly used brands! As someone who shops at Michaels all of the time you can use coupons on buy one get one half off! I’ve used 20% and 30% off all of the time
2:46 it says light grey in terms of the pattern on the inside of the label. The color of the light green one is baby green.
I love ice yarn! I like to make blankets with the picasso but they are usually out of it in all color ways except rainbow now. I hope they are not discontinuing it. I will have to try them for plush yarn!

Have you used Ice Yarns Chenille Superbulky? I'm curious if it's similar to Premiers parfait xl or sweet snuggles ?

Is the ice yarn same weight as sweet snuggles lite? I would love to have more color options but i keep seeing that other yarn like parfait chunky are thinner than SSL
ice yarns offers many different size types but the chenille baby i use is comparable to premier parfait chunky, so thinner than sweet snuggles lite / chenille home slim! but they have different chenille types so i'm sure there's one that's similar to SSL, i just haven't tried it myself

Ice Yarns is the manufacturer of Most yarns on the market with some exceptions. I have bought several ice yarns that are identical to many brands in the states.
It's so hard to find a good skin color yarn for characters. What's the name of the one you got from ice yarns? Definitely going to be placing an order from there soon!
the color i specifically use is light salmon!
@@melagurumi thank you for the video, very helpful & @adriiiana FYI i just received the light salmon but unfortunately, it looks darker and more orange than skin color. maybe they use a different stock :(
That light green ones weird it definitely says light gray one place but then down by the SKU says baby green. That makes no sense to put light gray on the package. 😂😅

Just wondering, because the yarn is for your business, could you not purchase it as a wholesale price?
Hi, I’m not here but I do have a small crochet business. You’re able to buy wholesale. Michaels does wholesale or bulk orders on certain colors. Some brands don’t do that unless you personally reach out to them and sometimes that can take a long time.
that's a great suggestion, i actually haven't thought about reaching out to them to ask about wholesale pricing!
hi! quick question! i mean this genuinely like seriously no hate at all. i see that you sell a lot of plushies that are trademarked intellectual property. are u like scared that one day they’re gonna sue u or something??😭😭 i wanna sell pokémon plushies at events but im so scared someone’s gonna snitch or something😭 is this something that i should be concerned about or am i just overthinking and its really not that big of a deal ?
artist alleys are filled with fan art, not sure why crochet should be treated any differently from stickers/prints/pins/keychains!
Just avoid platforms like Etsy. Fan art or not it’s still copyright infringement because you’re profiting off of someone else’s ideas and characters. Fan art is cool but I wouldn’t try to debate with Disney or Nintendo over it.
