Very nicely color corrected. 👍Some noise in the shadows but that is something I have also struggled while post processing and rendering Air 2S footage.
Thank you for the feedback. I probably pushed the foreground shadows up a bit too much when I exposed for the sun. It's a great drone with a great camera. Still learning how far to push the dynamic range capabilities.
This was 5.4k resolution and uploaded as 4k file. Shutter varied. I had it around 1/120 or so when exposing the sun. It was around 1/60 when I used HLG at the end. I had an ND 8 filter.
@@hdemetri i’m trying to get my settings dialed in when shooting on the HLG profile. Can I ask do you keep your shutter speed on auto and lock in your ISO at 100? My concern is if you lock the shutter speed in at a specific speed as you tilt the gimbal up-and-down or depending on which way it is facing it could either be too bright or too dark. Also do you lock your white balance in or keep that on auto. What’s your thoughts on the HLG profile? I edit with iMovie so the log profile doesn’t look good in my situation. Thank you for your time
@@treysals I usually try to lock my shutter, ISO, and white balance because when there is a big shift, the shot can be ruined. When you are shifting views like gimbal tilting or moving towards the sun or away from the sun, you will have to decide whether to start a new clip with new settings or keep everything in auto and allow the drone to change the exposure. I don't think there is anything else you can do about that. When the sun is low on the horizon, those changes in perspective can result in dramatic changes in light but this is not as bad when the sun is high in the sky. I think HLG works best for these high dynamic range situations like sunrise or sunset. You will see that when you switch from normal or Dlog to HLG without changing any other settings, there is the best balance of exposure of the sun and foreground. Since iMovie does not have advanced color correcting/grading tools, HLG works will still look great since the image already has some saturation and contrast in it. I used to use iMovie exclusively but I ended up forcing myself to learn Davinci resolve in order to get the most out of color grading 10 bit color once I upgraded to the Air 2s.
I am going to consider doing that. The color grading for this is actually pretty easy. Most tutorials that I see make it look really complex and then they try to sell you a LUT.
@@hdemetri please do and then tag me in it ! I’m new to this stuff and can’t find any solid information from start to finish for beginners. I’m going to Hawaii next year and need to be on top of the editing game ! Thanks for the reply 👍👍
I really enjoyed your angular flight maneuvers, and the scenery is very pretty! Thanks for sharing.
Wow that's an excellent work Sir
Actually I more love HLG color seems more natural with highlight and shadow
Very nice test
Excelente edición !!!
Stunning video! Great color grading, such vibrant colors! Thank you for sharing! I subscribed!

Both dlog and hlg seem not bad for this video. Beautiful smooth flight
thanks for the comparison video!
Nice Video my Friend👌
Thank you very much!
Great footage 👌🏾 but which part is HLG , which part is dlog??
Thanks! At 4:30 the footage changes to HLG. The beginning is Dlog.
Good but the camera still natural dark in the shadows that’s only thing I see in a2
Nice! Can I ask if you remember what FPS & Shutter speed you were using (and what ND filter if any?)
I'm heading out tomorrow to pick up an S2 :-)

Why not show how you color graded this , step by step ?
