Tiger rat snake. Never went so quickly from "I absolutely need that!" to "Ah never mind."

I love what you were saying about reading different snakes. Its very true. Sir mixalot reminds me a lot of one of my burms. Shes the only one of my snakes who will sometimes try to tag me while running away. She never has landed any shots though.
Most of my retics never try to bite when running. Thats just not in their behavior, at least not mine. Infact for my retics specifically, that is my sign that they know they arent being fed and are safe to finish picking up. Then Afrocks are totally different. Afrocks USSUALLY get super quiet when theyve finally had enough. They will go from super loud hissing to being dead silent, and then they will hold super still before biting. They seem to strike faster and further than burms or retics of the same size, but they dont necesarily have a bad disposition like everyone says they do. I dont think they are any harder than Burms or Retics at all. They just behave differently is all. They are actually really hardy and more tolerant of humidity fluctuatiom than the asian giant python species are. They dont handle extreme humidity for extended periods as well as burms can though.

I'm new and don't care what snake I get due to care is easy & I don't mind a non venomous bite, good advance video I would definitely stay clear of many of these spices despite not minding a good challenge.

Awesome video Jz, We love these Snakes... we had a Rhino ratsnake but sold him on I wish we had kept him though, In the 1980s I kept Red tailed racers Gonyosoma Oxycephalum we called them Chicken Snakes and I supplied Reptile shops I had a ton of them but nowdays its very hard to find these Snakes in the UK or the price is in orbit, That Anaconda is gorgeous and now of course I want one

I do like N.E.R.D. though! Kevin has a way with animals like no other. They have their issues but overall I respect him and his crew.

What is the rain rat snake you referred to. I can't seem to find it doing a Google search that singles out a specific snake

Would the false water cobra be classed as advanced or intermediate?

Based on size (8+ft) they can be very good motivated and the rear fanged thing, I would classify them as advanced but that’s just me

@Jz's Reptiles yeah it's a mixed bag wherever you look online. One thing I noticed from different videos is the snakes' tolerance to handling. Most seem fairly calm, but I've also seen some exceptions to that. It's just down to personality I guess.
I live in the UK, and I found a place that sells some babies. One day I'll travel there so I can see them for myself. Seeing the real thing will be a very different experience.

From personal experience I feel like they are fine beginner snakes as long as you're confident hitting a moderate humidity and temp. Ever so slightly harder than corns but seem to tolerate some husbandry errors.

You increased my respect for all these animals and decreased my desire to keep an advanced level snake. That's how you know you made a great vid lol
