I already did the update .. and i see a multitude of the same models. Hmm .. no biggie i can soleve it bu deleting and importing - but the new update rocks ... i love it and can't wait for the final 2.8. But nextime i wait until i see a video from you ... looool

The soft delete could be useful if you make a mistake and want the model back. But the update should make a copy of the models.yaml, and then update the new models.yaml based on what is in the old copy, not use a directory list. then delete the copy. that way the new Models.yaml will have only the models that were in the old models.yaml.
Does the model yaml deletion occur correctly when using 2.8 RC1? Like if I update from opentx to 2.8 RC1 then create and delete models does it properly clean up the yaml files on deletion?
it is a RC, never fly RC version of anything if you want good software.. stop use RC!!! RC = Release Candidate, is just what it says, just a candidate, its not a FINAL version! /a software Dev by day.
I was less concerned about people flying with it than loading it and wondering why their model listing went haywire. Based on all the different demos/copy/paste/deleted/re-orders I've done, I'm up to something like 1xx.yml
It's not a bug it's a feature, it's called "soft-deleting with undo" 😃

Noticed that issue and several more within 10 minutes,went back to 2.7.1 until they get all these bugs worked out
It helps if you report issues you uncover on github.
So simple, in the end... damm.. I took the long way arround and managed them on Companion :/

No. They made a code update to fix it.

Yes. In fact, they added a DELETED models folder and models deleted in 2.8 are moved to that folder.
