We did this cruise several times from Anderton.We used to moor just before the lock. One time we actually did the walk up to the castle -really good castle and we enjoyed it. On the way back the mother and father of all storms hit us! We had to shelter under the trees and it was thunder and lightning,to boot with torrential rain plus high wind. Within minutes of us reaching the boat the sun was shining brightly and have a photo of John on the towpath cleaning the copper! Again another of our favourite cruises.

The weather still looks great over there in fact today here was really warm too wish it would stay like that but probably not a chance. Lovely Video as usual. It's great to have help I'm sure. The staircase lock with 2 one way and one the other was really interesting. We're not intending to have bow thrusters but they are probably very useful in situations like that. Thanks again!

Hey Dorothy. Those that say that obviously haven’t spent any time with animals. They are so loyal. Dexter definitely knows what he wants. Just yesterday, he actually walked across one of those beams. 1st time in 2 years bless him. I am the same in a car. People can be crazy. Absolutely loved the Bridgewater and some of the skies were spectacular. We lived in a light polluted area too so it is amazing to see dark skies. Paul has been working today and I have had a chilled day. Take care and happy Saturday to you too ❤
@@anthonysmith-storey9247 For sure. My cats (and dogs) always know exactly what they want and were never shy about telling me. 😋 People can be a lot crazier here since they are most likely armed. We just had a case in FL where two drivers fired on each other and both had children in the car. Both of the children were injured by gunfire. Insanity. 🤬
Before I moved I lived in the country where there was hardly any light pollution. The sky was amazing. It's never truly dark where I live now. 😊 Glad you are having a good day. ❤ Take care!

Great to have a week of cruising not thinking about work. Andy seemed natural at steering ( not everyone is, I cant get away with it, crewing and locks are my choice) and with Eric they were brilliant helping at the locks. Seemed quite busy at the locks, plus a queue but as you say time to natter to other like minded people. The Bunbury shuffle worked well. Nice to see Dexter quite a bit, bless him for knowing the route he likes to take to get from one lock side to the other. And more nice weather in this vlog. Happy cruising to you three xxx

Great to revisit that bit of canal with you, after being on it a month ago. Too late for you, but viewers may like to know that there is a path through the fields from the canal to Beeston Castle. Just cross the bridge by the pub, and the gate to the path is just around the bend in the road. Fantastic way to approach the Castle. About a 20 minute walk, and of course the Castle is well worth a visit. Amazing views and sense of history up there!

Absolutely brilliant video and great camera work. Loved the scenery and especially Venetian Marina as I have been there a few times. Can't believe the warm weather we are still having in October. . . . I guess you guys will be having your fire alight soon. Paul I watched you on the midweek chat with Lisa and Maxine when you were discussing doing more art and being confident enough to do that as an income. . . . believe me you are so talented and your art is amazing so kick any doubt out of the side hatches and go for it. Dexter just loves nothing better than laying in the cool grass. We do love keeping in touch with friends and family. It can be hard work and will be even harder as we move down South in the next year or so. We love the cruising aspect and this, although hard work, is rewarding because of the beautiful scenery. All good here, in fact I have 12 days off work. 🎉. Hope you are having a good weekend. Take care ❤
Hi Paul, Anthony and Dexter Dog. What a lovely Vlog again this week. Always love the opening Chat, even though Paul sometimes repeats what Anthony has said, which always makes me smile. Great cruising, and well done Anthony navigating through some narrow channels under bridges. Paul was on top form calling Anthony "Road Rage Page". Great timing getting the train to pass over on the bridge as you approached same. Loving the way Dexter avoided the scary narrow ledge across the lock, and decided to walk around, I would have done the same myself. Dexter is such a clever Dog. So nice to see Dexter enjoying a nice refreshing Doggy Ice Cream. That staircase lock was very interesting, although very confusing as the way one had to navigate it, but well done guys you did it really well. On a technical point, I love the way Paul positions his on screen titles to the left of the screen. This looks so professional, going to adopt that technique on my videos (if I may). And finally, I was amazed and very impressed to see/hear that Anthony is fluent in "Duck" (language). A very professional produced Vlog. Thank you guys. Have a great week. Take care.
Thank you so much. We had a lovely day with crew to make it so much easier. The locks around this area have all been pretty narrow and we have a few battle scars to prove it. We used to watch a programme called atypical and the girl on that was horrific in a car, hence the name 😂. Definitely good to be fluent in duck on the canals. 😊. Hey Pauline. It was brilliant having help. That would be fab but I think their employers would have something to say 😂. Paul did get a drone shot around the castle, it looked stunning. The cool jacket needs wetting every so often and the evaporation keeps them cool, they definitely work and was a god send in the heat for Dexter. Hey Chris. We are part ex ing the boat. This isn’t something Liam normally does. It won’t be ready until April but the shell starts production next week we think. Very excited. Hope you enjoy the process. Have a great weekend ❤
